Was wondering about Tallulah, hope she is ok.
Happy birthday mini-Tallulah!

Well done on your lb off Ria, I am at it again too and doing ok so far, I am finding it much easier now I have cut down to 1bf a day, don't know if it's psychological or what but I can be hungry and it doesn't bother me.

Still, long way to go as I actually still weigh more than last summer.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2009 12:32

Happy birthday to T's DD1

I've sent her a text message.

that's T, not her DD obviously

help...how do I get bumble to feed more in the day? He hardly wants any milk and I'm worried about my supply as it seems to be less at bedtime and he is getting really fussy and annoyed when feeding then.

happy b'day Tbelles DD

DS2 has just come out of school looking like death and is freezing cold but very hot

am hoping DS1 turns up soon. The school said they would "do their best" to get the message to him that he had to come home on the bus and not stay for cricket

TheNatty · 16/06/2009 19:06

happy bday T DD!

just popping in quick to say scan went well.. although baby weighs 6lb 14oz atm..
looks like he will be about 8lb, fat lump!

sorry your having supply issues daisy, when dh better a day in bed with him making him feed often? heard this works for younger babies dont know about his age tho.

right off again, kids up still..

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2009 19:24

Glad scan went well Natty....that is heavier than both of mine when they were born!

HellHathNoFury · 16/06/2009 19:44

I didn't think they could tell how heavy they were from a scan?
Is this new technology I am missing out on?!?

Glad it went ok though Natty.

I am SO bored right now.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2009 19:51

Oi natty, 8lb is NOT big! "Tis rather small atch! Glad scan went well.

My car is ending on ebay in 6 mins, be back soon xx

LackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2009 20:00

Yaya for the scan Natty......why have you had one this late on?

fury they can guesstimate the baby's weight from the scan, but it is horribly inaccurate, at least 10%. They told my sis at a scan at 38 weeks she was having a medicine ball, at least 9lbs they said (and she is diddy so a 9lb baby was a BIG deal to her)........he was born at 5 days past her due date weighing in at.......7lbs 15 ozs

Both my boys were 8lbs 3.5ozs and they weren't big babies at all. I thought that was just a bit above average for boys?

Ria.....have you found DS1 yet? and is DS2 OK?

Sputnik, did DS have a good birthday?

what was the point of that textspeak thread in AIBU today?.....fooking surreal.

Sputnik · 16/06/2009 20:02

Glad the scan went ok

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2009 20:06

Just sold my car for £205. Bit less than I thought, but more than the scrappy would give me for it. Ebay, however, seem to think it's reasonable to charge me £28 in fees! I'm sorry, I hate this word and it only should be used in extreme circumstances, but ebay are fucking cunts!

Happy birthday to Tallulah's and Sputnik's small ones, hope they (and you) had fun!

Ria, hope your boys are ok.

LackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2009 20:09

PMSL Ria....I just did your "how well do you know" quiz on FB and got 76%....you are obviously an open book on here

or else I'm a crazy stalker

OP posts:
TheNatty · 16/06/2009 20:48

lol @ stalker daisy

they sent me an appointment for a nuchael scan when i switched to the local hospital, when i rang up to tell them i didnt need it they said they would call me back.

then rang to say that they would like to do a growth scan just cos im a new patient and they like to have at least one set of scan results on their system.

well i wasnt going to argue.

baby not huge to some, but tom and ellen we 6lb and 7lb at birth.. so fecking hell!

LackaDAISYcal · 16/06/2009 20:50

Good that you got to see your baby again then Natty (I was worried it was because there was a problem) and so close to D-Day as well. Fingers crossed the scan was out on the weight though

OP posts:
HollyPutTheKettleOn · 16/06/2009 20:57

Natty, you will not (as a rule) grow a baby that you cannot give birth to. There is very little difference between giving birth to a 7lber or a 9lber, in fact some say that it is easier to give birth to a bigger baby. I don't know as I haven't had a small one, but I can certainly say that ds (10lb 8oz and 1.5 hour labour) was much easier than dd (8lb 11oz 4 hour labour). You'll be fine, don't worry (well don't worry a lot!)

TheNatty · 16/06/2009 21:19

thats very reassurng guys

DH of course has now said that it would be fine if the baby came early as he is so big, so its the perfect excuse to "encourage him"

sorry but i dont think so mister!!

Rialentless · 16/06/2009 21:37

DS1 came home on the bus with his cricket friend (arrangement was we would collect DS and his friend from school cricket practice, then the other boy would come here for a snack and go to the village team training - friend lives in town), so I gave his friend the bus fare back, they had toasties and went off to play cricket. Unfortunately DS1 locked me in the house (I asked him to lock the door and post the keys through the letter box - he left them in the lock!)

DS2 is burning hot and was asleep by 4.30, he woke at 7 to eat the custard he requested for tea, which had setlike concrete, so I carried him round to grannies wrapped in a blanket for tinned custard. He has had calpol and nurofen and is asleep on the sofa again

baggins has been singing "grandad, grandad, we love you" today

LittleMissNorty · 16/06/2009 21:41

I remember singing that to my grandad when it was first released . I was VERY little

Sputnik · 16/06/2009 21:58

Me too Norty!
Hope your DS is feeling better soon Ria. How did you get out of the house?

Rialentless · 16/06/2009 22:18

He has just thrown up and feels a bit cooler already.

DS1 came home and let us out (couldn't get out the back gate cos I couldn't find the padlock key, though we could get outside into the garden)

HellHathNoFury · 17/06/2009 09:07

Why am I so goddamn tired?

morning all

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2009 09:27

Cos you're heavily pregnant stoopid and still working, looking after a toddler and running a home!

When do you finish work?

TheNatty · 17/06/2009 09:29

im having a random burst of energy after weeks of exhaustion, and am nesting away frantically!

sorry you feel shite fury, when are you stopping work??

morning norty!

LittleMissNorty · 17/06/2009 09:31

Morning. I was counting down the days from 30 weeks. He was worth it but those last 9 weeks were so miserable and it wasn't even hot then! God only knows how hot you two must be!

Sputnik · 17/06/2009 09:38

Yes, what Norty said Fury

HellHathNoFury · 17/06/2009 10:22

I keep having seriously hot flushes and passed out on Monday. It's a bit poo.

Only 2 more weeks of work left, but I am taking 2 days holiday tomorrow and friday to stay on my folks farm and organise the birthday bbq for DS.

31 weeks gone....9 to go... (or 13 knowing me)
