oooh good luck ria to your DH

LittleMissNorty · 06/06/2009 11:47

Pics were lovely Ria

Keep busy to keep your mind off things....hope he's all ok!

Just gave DS 9oz milk....he screamed the place down for more and then took another 3oz ...Fury, was your DS like this at 4 months? I remember he drunk huge bottles when compared to the girls but blimey....he's too little to wean...

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 11:50

norty ellen was the same, just dont switch to hungry baby formula it makes them really fat!
i ended up weaning at 5 months because she would drink and drink until it made her sick, then we would have to start again.

mind you this is the baby that fed hourly for 20 mins day and night until she was 6 weeks and i changed to formula!

hang on in there.. it could be a growth spurt if its a sudden increase?

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 11:50

thanks Norty.

DH just texted again, he hasn't gone down yet. He will be in a pickle!

Must go do some work...

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 11:52

pics are very nice ria!
i love facebook for nosing thru people pictures!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 06/06/2009 12:02

Hope dh is ok ria and hope he gets it all over and done with soon. It must be awful just waiting.

If anyone hasn't done it yet (there was a thread about it) then sign up to Graze. It is fab! You get your first box free with code 6HD9437. I got my weekly box this morning and have nearly scoffed the lot! I got a big punnet of fresh cherries, some fruity raisins and some almonds. It is delish!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/06/2009 12:27

Lovely pics Ria

Off to get ready to take Jamlet to a birthday party. Have a good afternoon everyone.

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 13:04

LackaDAISYcal · 06/06/2009 20:15

evening all

ria...any news from DH? I hope he is OK.

Norty, four months is typical growth spurt time which might explain his feeding frenzy.

Natty, re the mystery shopping; are you registered with more than one agency? and do you have to pay tax on anything you earn? I should register for it as I have nothing else to do with my time!!!

LackaDAISYcal · 06/06/2009 20:15

well done on the breast pump natty. how did you manage to get it so cheaply?

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 20:16

DH home, in a sling and a foul temper (he is sulking because I didn't make him a sandwich when I did the kids tea). Suppose I'll find out what's going on later...

good bargain natty.

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 20:33

its was just on the reduced shelf.. there were 5 of them as well. if i had the money i would have bought them all as they go for 40quid on ebay!

im registered with one company atm, your supposed to register yourself as self employed and pay tax that way, but i find it easier to say nothing and at the end of the year declare my earnings which is always WELL below the minimum (4K i think) so i dont have to pay tax on it.

otherwise you have to estimate how much you would earn for tax credits and that, and last year i earned 500 pounds for the WHOLE year, but the year before it was only 200, so you never know, it depends on how many jobs you get.

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 20:37

I registered with one of those agencies and there were never any jobs. Might try again though. I might have to get a job I think...

DH is back at BUPA on 23rd I think, his appt is 2.45 - is that too close to school run time daisy?

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 06/06/2009 20:46

Well done natty, see Boots is amazing !! I'll have you addicted soon!

Hope dh is ok ria and it all went well. I'm really sorry, but when you said he came home in a sling I thought you meant in a baby carrier. I had to read it twice. Now I have a really funny picture in my head!!

I used to do a lot of mystery shopping. It is soooo tedious I hardly do it any more. It sounds fun, but it is not. The visits aren't bad, but the report writing is seriously dull. I am registered with about 10 companies. The best one is International Service Check. They pay the most and pay you travel expenses, unlike most other companies. Sometimes they have great assignments where you get to buy stuff and keep it, like for Diesel and Swarovski. It's not regular work, but if you are not doing anything else then it is worth it.

HellHathNoFury · 06/06/2009 21:06

Norty, we had DS on hungry baby milk and it actually worked out well for him. He didn't get fat, and he still drunk loads, just not every 4 minutes like he was doing on SMA gold.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/06/2009 21:10

Evening

Had a fun packed day here. Present shopping this morning - hope we didn't go too mad but ended up getting 3 things for Jamlet . A slide, a Little Tikes sit in police car, and a sand pit She had a ball trying the toys out even in the rain Then a birthday party this afternoon. She loved it. Pics on FB.

Ria, hope DH is OK. Sorry he was in a grump with you.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/06/2009 21:12

I kind of wanted to get her a playhouse, but they were so pricey new, that it'd have been all she got. Maybe next year, especially if we get organised to search for a 2nd hand one?

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 21:26

yes jammy they are ever so expensive now i agree. they are not great quality either for the price!!
tom and ellen got one as a joint gift because they are so dear.

i think she will be dead happy with what you got her

LackaDAISYcal · 06/06/2009 21:26

It is Ria ....I need to pick DS up at 3.15

Pressies sound good jammy; I hope she enjoys them. We thought about a Little Tikes car, but will save one of those for bumble when he is old enough as it's hand me down city for him with all the toys; the poor mite won't ever get anything new at this rate!

DD loves her new slide; thankfully we just got a small one as it's been inside all day! She also loves her new baby, affectionately known to DH and I as "Son of Chucky". She has called him (thanks to a suggestion from DS1) Billy Bob

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 06/06/2009 21:47

See what you mean about that dill Daisy

LittleMissNorty · 06/06/2009 22:18

Hope DH is OK Ria - probably sore.

Will see how DS is over the next few days...he demanded 12 oz a bit later on as well.

So Daisy...nothing to do with your time . I watched "The building inspectors are coming" the other night....is that the sort of thing you used to do? It was excellent stuff....lots of power!

Right, one glass of wine and I'm knackered so I'm off to bed. Night all x

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 09:04

DS just ate 3 large scrambled eggs with thick toast, then asked for dessert. I don't understand how this works. He's only little. Where does it go?

I suppose I should be pleased that I have a good eater. His favourite food is broccoli. He'll sit there happily knawing on stalks then steal everyone elses as well.
