To get the Method Baby stuff free...there is a mag in Boots called Baby and You. It is free. In the back is a page of vouchers. One of them is £1 off Method Baby. Some (not all) of the Boots have this reduced to £1 from £3.99. Take product to till, produce voucher, voila free stuff!

The Pantene was reduced to 95p and I had 2 £1 off vouchers from the Parenting Club mag. They paid me 5p to take it away. Fab!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:10

Print off this voucher for £1 off King of Shaves. It works with any KOS product, not just the serum. Some stores have KOS stuff down to 49p, 75p, £1. Again they will pay you to take it away!

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 22:15

holly that is good!
shame we all have such sensitive skin tho me and kids can only use simple.

might pick up stuff for other people tho.. if im already in there.

tescos dont do the same thing do they

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:18

The Method stuff is SLS and paraben free, so if you're ok with Simple you'll be fine with that. They also had lots of the Little Me Organics stuff reduced too, that is also chemical free.

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 22:18

oooh dont boots is next to argos... and im going there tomorrow.

if i come home with a pram full of products its all your fault!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:20

If they are free though you haven't spent any cash, therefore I am not bad! Remember to put your Advantage Card in the machine and print off the extras offers and check the clearance section. Every store has one, you might get lucky!

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 22:23

lol holly!
if you spot anything for new babies let me know.. can always do with freebies!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:26

Apparently there are loads of reductions across the whole baby section in most Boots. None in the two I went to today except for some plates and cutlery, but people have been getting bibs and nappy cream and other feeding bits and bobs really cheaply. Keep your peepers pealed!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:26

pealed peeled!!

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 22:29

oh i will, am going to make it my mission to get as much out of boots as possible.. must find my advantage card tho

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:32

I have £70 on my card. Saving for a new car seat for dd. It's easy to boost your points, just keep your eyes on the Advantage Card machine for extra points vouchers and look in the free Boots mag and make sure you are a member of the parenting club.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 22:45

leeds is crap for shopping unless you go into town...not easy with two to deal with. All the boots on retail parks are invariable teeny ones with not a lot of stock.

DH, as a typical man, can't see the sense in buying something you don't need even if you are effectively being paid to take it off their hands....phst; that's why i'm in charge of bargain hunting.

I must make more effort to use sites like MSE and hotukdeals (and of course quidco and the like); I need to start "earning my keep" and as I'm loathe to put out.....

on that note I still don't know if my fanjo is in full working order in that department since bumble was born . It is starting to become a Big Deal, but we are usually too knackered for anything other than a quick fumble.

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 05/06/2009 22:56

Daisy, we were in that sitch too. It took me ages to do it with dp again after ds was born. In the end I just had to grit my teeth and get on with it. After I had done it I got back into it and the more I did it the more I wanted to! I know how you feel though and it isn't nice is it?

I weighed ds earlier on the Wii Fit and he is 2 stone which puts him on the 5oth centile ! He was born on the 99.6th! Just goes to show how little he actually consumes!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 23:03

on that note holly.....did you ever see the doc about things? auntie sputnik will be along soon to nag remind you to do it if not!!

OP posts:
TheNatty · 05/06/2009 23:13

i know how you feel daisy. sex is becoming a big deal here as well, as my fanjo hurts too much to have sex, but i hate to satisfy him as there is nothing in it for me, then i lie there feeling in the mood but not physically being able to do anything about it

so i selfishly give him nothing. we had a row about it the other night, it ended with me shouting that at least he could sort himself out, i cant even fecking reach atm... (TMI i know!)

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 23:20

oh, natty....sorry, but I'm pmsl at not being able to reach

My DH just doesn't seem that bothered.....which is a bit of a worry in itself, no?

anyhoo I'm off to bed as his nibs will be up looking for me soon.

My living room is full of water table and slide....she is going to pee herself with excitment in the morning.

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 00:36

bloody hell fire. you've been chatty tonight!

I'm going to try and catch up (though youshould all be in bed by now so I might just manage it)

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 01:10

I have finished my painting and put my brushes to soak (it's too late in the day for brush cleaning)

it's really silly, but every time I hear a car slow down outside I think it's DH coming home

must go and snuggle my boys, fingers crossed they are OK.

Hope DS sleeps longer than 5am fury.

HellHathNoFury · 06/06/2009 07:00

He got up at 4.30, happy as larry.

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 09:02

aw gosh 4.30!
i am alone with ellen today, michael has taken thomas to see his uncle playing in a footie match (schools thing)

ive got to wait in for the sainsburys shop to arrive, then im off to get my exercise/birthing ball, and some mini rollers to paint ellens old cot.

oh and im got a mystery shop to do, thats the third one this week, i actually contribute to the house pmsl!

LittleMissNorty · 06/06/2009 09:23

Morning

I used a gym ball from Argos Natty when I was pg with DD.....when I finished with it, I sold it on e-bay as a birthday ball and got a tenner for it . some people are so gullible. I never buy anything off of e-bay now without checking new prices on-line. Very often you can get brand new for a similar price from a store with free delivery.

DD slept all night in her bed and just called for us as normal this morning ....so how long I wonder should I leave the cot up for?

Hope DD likes her pressies Daisy!

I didn't get any M&B e-mails this year

LittleMissNorty · 06/06/2009 09:24

birthing ball - not birthday

LittleMissNorty · 06/06/2009 09:25

Hope DH gets on today OK Ria

TheNatty · 06/06/2009 09:30

yeah im getting one from argos for a fiver, tho i will prob keep it to use for exercise after i have alot of weight to shift.
plus for a fiver its to much of a farse to sell. im lazy!

Rialentless · 06/06/2009 11:02

DH went into theatre about an hour ago. Am a little tense (not least because I had to tell DM we can't pay our phone bill cos DH hasn't been paid for two weeks)

Took my painting to church, and cleaned the paint off the floor, kitchen sink and me! Am going to try and crack on with some housework til we go to collect DH.

Just going to put some pics on FB first though
