lol fury my two are like that with runner beans.. they try to steal each others and always fight over the last bit

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 15:39

I found out yesterday that my Dad voted BNP.

I told him I was delighted. I asked was he going to support me financially though, as DH is not British?
Then we went out for a chinese meal. I said shame, I hope he doesn't enjoy eating all that nasty foreign food. He then said he didn't care, as he was emigrating next year, and I said oh that's cool, along with everyone else who has to leave the UK, but at least the poor bastards remaining can get raped by good old brits and smile about it as it's no biggy.

Rialentless · 07/06/2009 15:51

good for you fury. I would put money on FIL having voted BNP too.

It's been a long day here, was up at 6.30 doing my baking for the regency tea party (which has left me with a massive feeling of anti-climax). DH got up just before I left and asked if I had time to do his bath before I went out. He has just had it now and gone back to bed. He has still not spoken to me about what's going on

I have a garden full of OPC when I told the boys they couldn't have their friends here this weekend

I think DM&F are going away tonight so at least I can go and lock myself in their empty house and have a good cry

I was wrong about last week being the week from hell, I think it might be this week!

Jammy, I got DS2 a playhouse for £20 on ebay last summer (or maybe the year before). Your prezzy shopping sounds lovely. So far I have got a folding camping chair thing for baggins. I would love to get him some Rosie and Jim stuff, but it's not widely available any more and the ones on ebay and amazon are very expensive.

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 16:12

Ria

Yesterday I went to vist mum in hosp. She looks really poorly. Apparently she is a bit better today.

After that we went out to dinner, and went to a restaurant - they had no highchairs!

I have never in my days come across this before. Not a booster seat, anything.

So we went somewhere else, again, no highchairs?!

So again, we went somewhere else, Prezzo as a matter of fact, had an effin amazing meal, complete with highchair, kiddy menu and icecream.

Blow it our your arse, Silver Lotus and Thai House, Billericay.

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 16:21

So I just called home to see how mum was

Brother answered the phone and said 'can't talk, police and ambulance are here, x has just stabbed y in the leg with scissors'

x and y being my 17 year old foster brother twins

awesome!

Rialentless · 07/06/2009 16:22

oh dear fury, not quite what your mum needs just now. Is she at home yet or still in hospital?

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 16:24

still in hosp, she will be for a while yet, she had an adverse reaction to the painkillers and got quite sick, but apparently she is on the mend

Rialentless · 07/06/2009 16:27

[sa] lots of love to her.

baggins is asleep on my knee. that stuffs my plan of taking the littles to bed when DH get up. (to minimise tension)

Rialentless · 07/06/2009 16:27

arse, that was a

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 07/06/2009 16:46

Fury, did you say your mum had a knee replacement, or did I make that up? My mum had one about 6 months ago and she still has a limp. I have a feeling she might need another op to fix it. It clunks when she walks . I think she was in hosp for about a week and had lots of exercises to do at home, but she was up and about quite quickly. Hope your mum is doing ok, it is a horrible op, so hope she gets better soon.

My ds likes strawberries, grapes, cherry toms and chocolate. That is pretty much it. I do him a dinner and lunch every day, but he has a few mouthfuls and gets down. He's just not bothered. The rest of us are gannets, he just has better things to do with his time than eat !

Oh dear re the BNP thing. It is truly scary. People have no idea what they stand for except the immigration thing and vote for them because of that. Their views on women are and make me sick. Fucking bastards! I voted Green! Maybe a wasted vote, but I do feel very strongly about European fishing quotas and agricultural subsidies, hence the choice. Dp voted UKIP !

Rialentless · 07/06/2009 16:55

I voted green too Holly and so did DH he's obviously lived with me too long. sadly we didn't have a local green candidate.

DS1 asked me this morning if the hospital had changed DHs meds as he didn't shout as much last night

baggins doesn't like bread.

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 16:58

UKIP better than BNP! Silly father of mine. He told me that lots of muslims voted BNP?! I am fairly confident he is off his rocker.

Yes Holly you heard right, mum had a new knee. She needs the other one done but I don't think she's so keen now!

I am waiting to find out what this stabbing is all about.

Sputnik · 07/06/2009 17:08

Just catching up....
Happy B'day to Daisy's DD

We had DS's party yesterday too, just family. He loves loves loves his new slide, spent virtually all day yesterday sliding either himself or his cars down it.

Feeling a bit deflated now as DH left this morning for 10 days, then this afternoon my sister left too.

My DS is not too bothered about food either, though his appetite has improved a lot lately. But yesterday with all the excitement he only wanted yogurt and bananas.

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 17:57

ok

Foster brother x is in ward B5 being stitched up.
My mother is in ward B8 so that's handy for visitors.

Foster brother y is in jail.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 17:57

sorry to hear your mum has been bad with the meds fury, and that it's all harmonic at home . I hope she is on the mend soon and that she doesn't come home to utter chaos.

Ria, I hope you have had a chance to speak to DH and that he is OK.

Norty....sadly no re The Building Inspectors. I'm a structural engineer so usually at the mercy of the building inspector!! It's a job I'd like to do though when I have to retrain to go back to work when bumble is 5....if they will retrain 45 year olds

Had a wee party for DD today. We only had five toddlers, three babies and three older ones who played on the PS2 in DS1's room the whole time, but it was manic. Good fun though. I'll pop the pics on FB. DD looked lovely and soooo grown up; she is being a real poppet as well at the minute and is being a proper little mummy's girl; I love it

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/06/2009 18:59

Sorry to hear about your foster brothers Fury And hope your Mum is on the mend soon.

Ria, has DH spoken to you yet? Hope you get to know what's going on soon - and that it isn't too bad of course.

Glad the parties have gone well, Sputnik and Daisy.

Had a lovely day out with friends. I think we must have had all the forecast rain last night as it was hammering it down in the night, but OK, quite nice even, today. The science discovery place was good and we had some time outside in the fab play area too Going back to the comment (Sputnik's?) about dirty children being happy, she had a fab time jumping in a big, deep, muddy puddle and even though she had wellies on her trousers were soaked through and even her jacket was splattered! If anyone fancies a day out there (here) I'd go again!

FrazzledFairyFay · 07/06/2009 19:25

Hi everyone, I'm just back from a hen weekend and knackered. Haven't caught up properly, will do it tomorrow. Happy Birthday to the DCs whose birthdays I've missed. I hope they had goo days. I did see about Fury's foster brothers - what a nightmare. And Jammy, we'd be very up for a trip there, it's not too far from us and looks great.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 19:57

aaaargh....neither DD nor bumble will settle tonight. And DH has gone out. I'm running up and downstairs like a yoyo. Bumble isn't hungry; he just doesn't want to go to sleep. I think he has realised that things happen downstairs whilst he is asleep as he went up today and when he came down again there was a party in full swing.

Is 7mo too young for CC? Although he isn't really crying, just shouting a lot and keeping DD awake!

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 07/06/2009 20:01

Daisy, if he's not crying, leave him. The thing IME with CC is that you are to be quite instinctive. You know when they up the ante and are genuinely unhappy. CC isn't about leaving them, its about making them feel reassured and safe in the knowledge that you always come back. In my opinion, anyway.

HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 20:11

I did CC from about 3 weeks I think

but tbh I didn't have the foggiest what I was doing. Still don't really.

my brother just called, their bedroom is a crime scene!
Brilliant
Honestly... my family is crazy... we need an award

LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 20:11

ah, he is crying now. I've been in and cuddled him. he stops. tried to feed him; not interested, checked nappy; fine, winded him; no wind. lie down beside him; happy and laughing. Get off the bed and he starts screaming. I managed to put him down, then drop to the floor so he couldn't see me...so far so quiet. Crawled all the way to the door.....soon as I got over the threshold he started again

he's had five minutes......back again I go.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 20:22

fury. Is everyone OK?

Yay he's gone this time. I held his hand and he calmed down, rolled over and went to sleep. He had a bit of a bleat as I left the room, but was fine . now hopefully DD will go to sleep; her palintive cries of "Where's my birthday gone?", cute though they may be, are starting to get on my nerves a bit!

Has anyone read the no cry sleep solution?

OP posts:
HellHathNoFury · 07/06/2009 20:34

Daisy awwww bless DD

Yes everyone is ok apart from y who is in the cells
and x who is being repaired

As they are 17 and this is not the first time they have been mixed up with the police, he will most likely get tried as an adult and might get put away this time.

I am thinking of starting a blog about them.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 07/06/2009 20:52

Fury, is it too nosey of me to ask "why?"?

Daisy, I remember a stage of sitting with Jamlet for what felt likes an age (prob about 15 mins?) as she fell asleep. To start with I would have to hold her hand, or rest a hand on her tummy, then over time it was enough to just sit in the room, then I would leave after shorter periods so she was sleepy but not totally gone, and then eventually she would go down awake and let me leave her to go to sleep on her own. Is time consuming though.

LackaDAISYcal · 07/06/2009 20:53

I hope it doesn't come to prison . silly buggers.
