Bit worried about DS. He went to bed at 6pm with no dinner and crashed out asleep.

VERY unlike him. Normally he eats us out of house and home and stays up being annoying until 8pm.

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 20:30

fury
hope hes ok, it could just be a reaction to all the heat this week?

HellHathNoFury · 05/06/2009 20:33

dunno, might be. It's just very unlike him to reject everything, milk as well.

Maybe he's just tired and will wake at 4am wanting to play.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/06/2009 20:33

Hpoe DSs are OK Ria, and yours too Fury.

Jamlet had an hours sleep mid-afternoon and was a grumpy so-and-so after, she was still worn out. So she had an early night too.

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 20:37

ooh hope not fury! 4am is a very ungodly hour!

is anyone finding corrie a bit tedious atm?

Ohforfoxsake · 05/06/2009 20:38

ahh, Happy birthday Daisyboo too!

I'm of the opposite opinion to Natty, I agree that lots of babies close together takes its toll physically. In fact, what shocked me (and I remember telling the MW) is that I felt I needed more ante-natal care when PG with DC4, not less. Mentally it was harder as I worried more (had my luck run out, was this baby going to be healthy, would the birth be as good etc etc). And physically although my body handled it well, it was different and harder each time.

But Natty if nothing else, remember you have been through a hell of a lot, not only with 3 babies 3 and under, but all the other things you have endured - particularly since DDs birth. You have really been through the mill with it all, so please, take care. I know its hard with DH being ill, but do what you can to be kind to yourself.

HellHathNoFury · 05/06/2009 20:39

I have never, ever watched it.
I am one of the sad cases that watches the Apprentice religiously.

4am is ungodly, but not unheard of. DS is an early riser. 5am is normal.

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 20:42

thats true foxy, i was just surprised that it was so much harder.
i think i have been very lucky both times with ellen and tom, and had really energetic and healthy pregnancies, and the differance has been such a shock to me!

i just keep chanting to myself "6 weeks to go 6 weeks to go"

HellHathNoFury · 05/06/2009 20:46

if I have a 3rd I will pay for a surrogate

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 20:52

evening all

sorry for all the DH woes. Mine is a star over the housework, although it would be good if he could get further than the kitchen sometimes!

Happy Anniversary Norty

I hope your mum's op went well fury.

Thanks for DD's birthday wishes; she is a proper little lady now. We have had a lovely day, she got her presents from the other DC and some new clothes, then it was parent reader morning at school, and all DS1's class sang Happy Birthday to her, then stay'n'play, more singing to her, then I took her and bumble out for lunch....maccyD's and bumble had his first fast food experience and was stuffing (unsalted) chips in like they were in danger of running out, bit of shopping, then we had a lovely tea (spag bol with mushrooms, DD's favourite tea and she was pretty emphatic about the mushrooms!) and they all had chocolate cake while I looked on longingly. Lovely . DS1 has been great today as well....yay

4 am?!

Lordy, think of what you could get done!
you could have the house sparkling, washing washed, dried, put away, DHs clothes laid out and ready, shoes shone, and have your lipstick on and fresh ribbon in your hair before he awakes to the smell of freshly ground coffee and a full English

Come along Ladies, embrace the opportunity!

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 20:56

I also found PG 3 very difficult, as you all know and even though I had the natural birth I so desperately wanted and am cool with that, I'm still bloody suffering.

Natty, I agree with foxy that it's sooo much more than the physical side of things and all the stress you have had recently is bound to be taking it's toll. Try and let things that are unimportant slide in these last few weeks/first few weeks of the new baby.

Oh that's lovely Daisy

DD went to sleep no problem....lets hope she stays in bed!

Hope DS is OK fury....and hope your mum is OK. My mum has 2 plastic knees!

Some twat next door is cutting the fucking hedge at 9pm at night. What a tosser. I have 2 DCs up there trying to fucking sleep!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/06/2009 20:58

Glad you had a good day Daisy

Right, present shopping for Jamlet tomorrow. Going to a place near Newbury whith loads of garden toys you can try out etc. Exact choice will depend on what they have in and what she makes a beeline for, but probably looking at a sandpit and either some kind of slide/climbing thing or a playhouse. Then a birthday party in the afternoon, and a day out with friends on Sunday - busy weekend all in all

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 21:02

does anyone think i can get away with
this
as a birthing ball? would only use it for the next six weeks to try and get baby to face right way, and to bounce on in early labour....

or am i being a tight wad?

LackaDAISYcal · 05/06/2009 21:03

We got DD a water play table and a little slide and were planning on giving them to her tomorrow.....but the weather is going to be soooo bad that she won't get the chance to use them!

MY DH is a spanner! He said his bank card has been rejected a few times and couldn't understand why and worried he was over his OD limit or something. He checked his account; it is looking healthy....couldn't understand it. He then had a look at the card that the bank had sent him a month ago which he thought was a replacement visa card...erm no it's a replacement bank card for the one that has just run out!

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 21:13

i bagsy any P&T's you get

im gonna get the ball tomorrow, the only comfy thing to sit on atm is the washing basket... hope i can sit on this instead i wont look quite so odd...

HellHathNoFury · 05/06/2009 21:18

foxy regarding the housework, my house is ALREADY sparkling.

Why wouldn't it be? I am superhuman. Everyone else is just lazy

Actually, my landlord did an inspection yesterday - he asked if the cushions on the bed and the flowers and fresh bread etc was for his benefit... I said no, I am just an anally retentive slavedriver and that's just how I roll

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 21:20

PMSL fury!

wanna come round and be anal in my house?
cant remember the last time we had flowers...

HellHathNoFury · 05/06/2009 21:24

Despite having D&V, I am the perfect wife, and baked home made oat and molasses bread, slow cooked a lamb rogan josh, did the laundry and did a full days work from home.

Fear not, the dog will shit all over the carpet tomorrow and DS will rub toothpaste all over the bathroom, perfection is only attained for 5 minutes at a time here

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 21:26

oh fury you are making me laugh tonight!

you put me to shame tho, i am having trouble keeping the dishwasher empty!!
