also pacing the living room trying to get my fecking BH contractions to stop! they are agony, this baby is going to kill me!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/06/2009 22:52

watching apprentice then you've been fired. now having some ginger tea as I feel very sick and have had a couple of run to the loo incidents

But.....went to Toys'R'Us earlier and got DD's birthday pressies...a little slide for the garden; a water table for the garden and a couple of other bits. I had to get her something from the GPs as well so I got her a boy doll (looks like nephew of chucky, with hair and everything ) and a new buggy as hers is torn (thanks to her sitting in it ). I wanted to get some clothes for some of her other dolls and the clothes are hideaously expensive; £10 for a tatty babygro of dubious material and workmanship, so I went to Next and got her a three pack of tiny baby babygros for the same price. Oh, and some clothes for her as most of her stuff is hand me downs/last years at the minute.

So, we are all set. she'll get one or two things on Friday, and the rest of it on Saturday when we have time and aren't rushing out to work/school etc.

Jammy, I know you were thinking of the Little Tikes slide for jamlet. I got one that is a little bit higher, it folds, and it was only £15 compared to the £30 for the Little Tikes one. I wanted the bigger one but DH wants us to wait until the garden is finished

NAtty...drink drink drink!

they have been revamping their parks fury, so maybe she got a better apartment than we had? Hemsby isn't even on their website any more though, so maybe they sold it. Butlins is meant to be better.

Cheap deals still to be had at pontins Natty......can you get to Camber Sands? four nights in basic accommodation in September (outside of school hols) is only £90.

justbeme · 03/06/2009 23:24

Hi -
Jammy I do hope Lo is ok - sending her a hug!

We're off to Butlins in 12 days time for a week. Half Board for 3 of us in Silver Plus accomodation with 2 bedrooms was £420 odd.
I'll let you know what we think!

Rialentless · 03/06/2009 23:48

my friend goes to butlins on her clubcard vouchers and loves it (and TBH I would never have thought it her scene)

sorry, got called away to paint dresses on the 4 regency ladies on my living room floor

hi JBM, have a good holiday

LittleMissNorty · 04/06/2009 08:33

Camber sands is lovely (well the beach is). I live pretty close to there.

All the pressies sound good Daisy. DD doesn't like her Baby Annabell....when it cried, she nearly shit herself and every time I pick the doll up she covers her eyes.....so may have been a bit early for that one!

DD took her nappy off last night and pissed all over her mattress

Argos also a good place for outdoor toys. We went to Toys R Us to price up, nothing I wanted was in stock, they wouldn't order it for me, wouldn't keep things to one side for me when they were delivered ....so went to Argos, much more local for me, got exactly the same items and some were cheaper (my 6 ft slide was £10 cheaper I think), so always worth a look.

Off to register my (protest) vote today

HellHathNoFury · 04/06/2009 09:48

I'm at work.

I have so much to do and I can't be arsed. And I have a baby tapping the inside of myribs and pelvis simultaneously. So how does that work?!

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 11:46

I have a pain in my chest, don't know if I've pulled a muscle rushing to get to school, or if it's anxiety. (We were nearly not late today, but my anxiety about getting there on time got the better of me just as we were about to leave)

took baggins to church group, he was really chuffed cos there was cake!

now I have to tidy up the breakfast things before DH gets home

DS1 is playing in a cricket tournament this afternoon

HellHathNoFury · 04/06/2009 13:12

maybe anxiety Ria.

I used to get funny aches and pains all the time, some quite debilatating, GP's never ever found anything wrong and used to say enigmatic things to me like 'depression manifests itself in many different ways....' which frankly just used to get my tits up.
Until I saw a thai doctor who cracked it for me and I have never had any problems since.

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 17:14

took ibuprofen, had a toastie and went to bed with baggins, but it still hurts like hell. It'll go I suppose.

Have just been to vote, was a bit random, knew who I didn't want to vote for, so process of elimination

hope DS1 is having a good time at cricket. I want them all home and in bed so I can finish my ladies off (note to self, roll up carpet tonight before splashing paint about, and go paint-searching in the garage before dark)

LittleMissNorty · 04/06/2009 17:22

Take a pic when you've fiished them Ria - sounds great.

about chest pain - does sound like anxiety to me. I'm in the throes of a gall bladder attack and it fucking hurts. Can't take any pain killers as I took some co-codamol a couple of hours ago for my back!

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 17:24

norty, how long is the waiting list?

shall I be kind and offer the litle girl from down the road, who is playing in our garden and appears to be wearing her house keys round her neck (she in 8/9), a sausge bun?

LittleMissNorty · 04/06/2009 17:31

18 weeks . Luckily DS is strapped into a chair and DD in a highchair eating cos I can't move from the spot. DH in ameeting and won't get home for an hour

LittleMissNorty · 04/06/2009 17:34

sausage bun sounds good!

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 17:38

I decided to (and her mum must be in as she went to ask if it was ok, so that's a relief)

that's a long time - is it constant pain, or just worse at times? If it was so bad you had to go to A&E would they do it straight away? (am not wishing more pain on you BTW)

HellHathNoFury · 04/06/2009 18:50

food poisoning
am dying
bye for now
need toilet

FrazzledFairyFay · 04/06/2009 20:07

Norty, Ria and Fury

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 20:14

fury

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/06/2009 21:13

Ouch Norty, poor you Fury and sorry Ria

Thankfully Jamlet's been a lot chirpier today - and therefore more mischievous . Temp slightly raised but down below 38 despite only one spoonful calpol all day so much improved She tried climbing through the little space underneath her toy kitchen this afternoon and got stuck!

We've got 9 guests coming to her party next week, and 1 more that we haven't heard back from. Eeek! It'd better be nice enough to be outside, our house ain't that big! And as we go on holiday the next day I don't want to have too much mess to clear up [I must be mad smiley]

LackaDAISYcal · 04/06/2009 21:37

ouch to norty, ria and fury

norty, when I was in the hospital I was taking buscopan. I didn't know what it was (but it worked when taken with the cocodamol and ibuprofen) but it is an anti spasmodic for IBS and you can get it over the counter. Also, lying on my left side with a lavender wheat bag draped over my right side seemed to help as well. big hugs lovely.

I also found This Website. I tried the flaxseeds but only sprinkled on my brekkie, but I linked this on another thread and someone on there said the beetroot thing and the flaxseed tea were working well for her.

Had a lovely meet up with a couple of my Nov chums and some mums from stay'n'play today and managed to get sunburnt even though it was overcast . I didn't have any cream on DD or bumble but they are fine thankfully as they had hats on.

another hissy fit from DS1 tonight; he slammed the table into me, sending a pair of scissors spinning towards me and hitting me in the thigh...and bumble was sitting next to me. We go through phases of him being horrible, to phases of him being downright obnoxious. At the minute all he does is moan and whinge and look at everything negatively. I'm beginning to think I don't like my own child, which is awful as I'm sure he picks up on that [bluah]; but there is only so much I can take and it's hard to stay upbeat and cheerful in the face of such misery, anger and violence. I think i need to bite the bullet and ask for some professional help with him as DH and I are obviously not getting through to him. He says things are fine at school so all I can conclude is that it's home life that is making him like this

Sputnik · 04/06/2009 22:09

I think that's a good idea Daisy.

Rialentless · 04/06/2009 22:55

Poor you daisy. It's hard top know what to do. Can you start with a chat with his teacher? IKWYM about the not liking part, I go through that occasionally with DS1 Our CAHMS referral seemed to be something DS1 "valued", but it has convinced him he has "issues" with anger and stuff, so in another way it hasn't helped when trying to deal with stuff. He seemed to enjoy babbling on to the guy that used to come to see him though.
Good luck with it. Have you thought about a martial arts class? DH swears by it for controlling anger.

My fecking cat decided to walk on my freshly painted regency rug, so I have dark blue paw prints all over my floor.

LittleMissNorty · 05/06/2009 08:20

Sounds like a good idea Daisy....presumably his school is the starting point?

Thanks for the link....is there anything I can eat??? Luckily it wore off after a couple of hours and as I'd aldready taken some co-codamol for my back, I think it dulled the pain, but it was very miserable waiting for DH to get home.

Happy Birthday to DD Daisy ....can't really call her Baby Boo any more!!

My wedding anniversary today.....five years! Where does the time go?

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 08:23

Norty, Ria, Fury and Daisy!

i agree with sputnik Daisy, good idea. when we got help with tom we found it really useful to know some mums in the same situation, makes you feel less of a failure which in turn has a knock on effect of helping you cope more

i drank 3 litres of water yesterday and had alot less BH in the evening so thanks for that little snippet of advice

meeting up with a online friend for the first time today, very nervous i must say

bump pics on my profile guys

TheNatty · 05/06/2009 08:40

happy birthday DD daisy
