Hi sazz, don't think so as we have too many people around Bristol at the moment. But will take note of time/place, and a miracle might happen.
Always had you marked as a yummy mummy btw

dizz - I don't even bother pretending, have just given in and embraced the chaos

Swine flu... now there's a thought...

It does almost make an extra year of nursery fees worth it. Nope, scratch that, no it doesn't!!

I just made beef enchiladas. Which were very tasty. I'm hoping I don't wind up sick though. I used the left over ground beef from Saturday. It was either use it today or toss it. Let's see if I chose correctly.

Is everyone snoring?

Reese is usually up about 1am for her midnight feed. If ya'll are like me you feed with one eye open in the hopes you can salvage a small bit of sleep....mentally telling yourself you really aren't up, that it's all just a dream.

Ponder this: the chances of pregnancy after snip-snip is 1:100 WTF! How is this good odds?

ataraxis · 14/05/2009 07:56

ooh, goody, I haven't done breakfast for you for ages

Expectant · 14/05/2009 08:12

Thanks for breakfast and good to see you back - a little late for me though

Another jet-lag fuelled night here and he now will not settle in his cot - I think we did indeed create the proverbial rod by letting him sleep in the bed with us most of the time we were in England...

Off to music class in a bit though.

Steaky how did the session go yesterday? (I do mean the one with the doctor)!

Morning

Thanks for brekkie Ataraxis mmmm yummy.

Expectant - We are slowly breaking DD out of the habit of sleeping with us on holiday too. Night before last we had 30mins of pure angry screaming everytime I put her in her cot. Eventually I gave in and fed her to sleep and put her back in her bed. Last night was better [yay]

Morning Sazzles - how are the armpits today? red and rashy yet?

For the record Sazzles - is a very YUMMY MUMMY! looks perfect, dresses co-ordinatedly (no that is not a word), and generally looks great!

Miamla · 14/05/2009 09:32

superb breakfast ataraxis

i've got a fun packed day today... tidying/cleaning this morning then smear and knee mri results this afternoon. oh joy!

hmm... i typed this over an hour ago so hello to all that i've x post with

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 09:34

oohh I vote ataraxis on brekker every morning

Miamla - thought I had a crap day doing admin/cleaning/flat pack building but don my cap to you

Oops - am quite sure Sazz is delicious never mind yummy - am just jealous

girls slept through, sun is shining, DD1 to school, DD2 at nursery and Dylan napping - I've managed to do the majority of the phone calls I needed to do so will carry on before something interrupts me!!!

alittlebitshy · 14/05/2009 09:36

ataraxis hello and thanks for the brekkie

buckets your cake and wine night sounds fab. I am put to shame - i barely bake for us let alone for entertaining . nb dh makes birthday cakes so will be baking dd's tomorrow!

We have had so many good nights lately. In the last 2 weeks i think we've had maybe 2 middle of the night wake ups . We had one eve where at bedtime, just as ds was asleep dd had a LOUD tantrum and woke him, and another eve where lodger dropped ssomething heavy in room next door to ds and H woke up (as would i) but nights have been full of sleep for us. Am getting rather used to it but have no doubt it will not last. It never does with ds .

Miamla · 14/05/2009 09:39

wow, only 3 x posts

oops i agree with you about sazz but sssh, she'll get all big-headed on us

sazz any curtains that have been replaced in this house since we moved in (can't believe it was almost a year ago!) were bought not made by me. so even with stitching skills doesn't mean curtains get made!

expectant apart from not sleeping how's your little intrepid explorer doing?

oopsacoconut · 14/05/2009 09:42

Dizzy - so am I, I never look more than slighly wrinkled as opposed to very wrinkled!

body scrub purchase here too VG not that we're prone to thread influences at all

and I think the topping you're looking for is fondant maybe?

LoveBuckets · 14/05/2009 11:16

Dizzy Deffo doing a tower of Hummingbirds as they're so shockingly orgasmic (and I shall be the toast of polite society and the Duke of Wotsit will undoubtedly proposition me and have to duel DH etc etc...) I have access to a Lazy Susan and several glass cakestands. Bear in mind I'm cackhanded and accident-prone so only some varieties will be iced, the uniced ones can be bunged in baskets rustic-style. Other iced cakes can go in military rows. Good idea to splash out on cases and decs, am such a tightarse I hadn't even considered it.

VG Might just be icing sugar and lemon juice - you could have fun experimenting to get it just right.

Albs Baking is my therapy! Since I can't get to a yoga class I have to settle for cake.

Miamla Shall we all have a Hummingbird cupcakes day on 3rd of July then, like a virtual meetup.

TS Male vasectomy fails 1 in 2000, female sterilisation fails 1 in 200. I looked into the latter after DS1 was born but decided the surgery was an awful lot of hassle and risk for such crappy odds.

I am going to purchase some expensive microdermabrasion facial scrub this week as I read Nicky Hambleton-Jones says it's essential. By scrubbing the dead layer off every week, the wrinkles don't get a chance to become too deep.

Been to baby music club and as usual Kurt climbed on all the drums and squished several babies trying to steal play the lady's ukulele.

TwilightSurfer · 14/05/2009 12:37

1 in 100 vasectomies may fail to prevent pregnancy. I think I may have worded my post wrong earlier. Viable sperm can be around for 6 to 8 months. Tubing can grow back together. Just a lot for me to worry over think about.

Not a good night here. Glad others are seeing the light.

All the talk of cakes makes me want to bake something. My kitchen's clean.

argh - been on the phone to the bank. my card has been cloned. raah raah raah. they got 50 something pounds before it got stopped (they tried 300+ and thank god that got stopped as there's not that much in there). not happy.

CaptainCaveman · 14/05/2009 13:53

Sneaking on during quick work break...
Thanks for updating Dizzy . We are ensonced in our lovely new home - 6 days in and I've stuck to my 'keep your new home tidy' promise . I LOVE IT. The day after we moved in ds1 was playing in the garden in his old 'little tikes' pedal car. He's way too big for it but he couldn't really use it in our old garden due to space etc. Dh and I shared a little 'arrr bless him' moment

Am missing you all madly, work has taken over lately but hoping that will all calm down again from next week.

Just to reassure you all, O has still NOT slept through the night ONCE since he was born. The little 'darling'

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 14:32

ALBS what a complete PITA, did they buy anything nice - gits

sazz lovely top, anything with the word thunder in the title is fine by me though

CC needing some photos of the new pad please!! glad the move has gone well if I was closer I'd bring a Bree-esq basket of muffins

sun still shining, lots done this morning by both DH and myself, hope to continue again tomorrow although I shall be at a cafe doing a voluntary shift so DH hasn't realised that he's on his own!!!

still more to do so off to get on before I have to collect DD2 from nursery

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 14:45

am currently watching Dylan ignore all her toys and play with the dog bed
