back from having smear and nurse asked when baby was born and has recommended i book appt to see doc. meanwhile, my knee mri results are back but they wouldn't tell me what they are so when i came out from nurse i told reception that the nurse said they were to print them off for me. i now have results and along with a loud of medical jargon i need to be referred to see a consultant but only doc can refer me. i reckon i might be anaemic again so asked the nurse for a blood test form but only gp can do it.and on top of all that i still haven't had a referral re my piles and yup, you guessed it, only doc can deal with it. My doctor will only discuss one issue per appt so i apparently need to book 4 appts but i can only have one booked at any time

absolutely ridiculous. i feel like i'm falling slowly apart at the edges and in a month's time i'll have been able to get the appts i need

rant over
as you were girls

oopsacoconut · 14/05/2009 18:04

dd currently watching 3rd and bird - she is too tired to do anything apart from sit on me or yell. She decided this morning breakfast wasn't for her so she has wanted food and milk constantly from 2 hours after breakfast until now. She just ate 1/2 an avocado, an oatcake with pate and a handful of raspberries and still wants more so I have sweet potato roasting for later.

DH's car needed to go to the garage today woi be checked as it is making a strange noise the shocks have gone but it is only 2 years old and has almost no milage on it, so I complainedloudly explained the situation to the service manager and he has got the company to pay the £900 for the new rear shocks!

Dizzy - at least she isn't napping in the dog bed!

catching up back in a bit.

AnnVan · 14/05/2009 19:36

Hi again everyone! Haven't caught up, but I'm sure I saw something about a london meetup? I#d like to do that, someone fill me in please!

oopsacoconut · 14/05/2009 19:38

Ann - no date yet for London meet up - Steaky hasn't confirmed when she will be in town yet.

LoveBuckets · 14/05/2009 20:17

Oh Miamla What a PITA, have you cried yet? I would be in tears with frustration myself. Could you maybe get 2 separate longer slots? Annd perhaps you could do a phone appt re the knee results/referral?
I can't see the GP I want yet, have to phone first thing Weds to get the Thurs am appt I can do, not liking my chances.

CC So glad the move went smoothly and house is (so far) perfect. It's a mad time isn't it, learning all the little things about the new house when you've still got every detail of the old house taking up room because you know it by heart. Like suddenly changing all your pin numbers and passwords.

Discovered Kurt is perfectly capable of eating tagliatelle and LOVES it! He also likes the cocked up Mars muffins (how appalled would I have been when my first baby was that age!).

Bathtime, then I'm off to bed with The Mentalist.

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 20:19

miamla how infuriating for you there are so many things wrong with all that I don't know where to start - do you want to fire on the knee jargon and see if someone on here can help?

hi Ann when does the new laptop arrive?!?

DH at work, all 3 girls in bed, dinner dishes away, washing machine on (3rd load of day but still nothing to rival TS) and huge pile of ironing to attend to - think it can get done tomorrow - am pooped

poppysocks · 14/05/2009 20:35

Crap day here. Not entirely sure what caused it but spent most of the afternoon throwing up and feeling like my brain was a marble in a tin can. Thankfully DD1 was at nursery but poor DD2 had a pretty rubbish day. In the end, I lay on the floor topless but with a blanket over me as freezing while DD2 played around me and crawled over for a feed whenever she needed it. She did though get to the cat food when I put her down next to me when I suddenly had to throw up in the utility room . Managed to scoop the bits out and she didn't seem bothered so assuming she's fine . Picking up now by the power of jaffa cakes.

How unbelievably frustrating miamla. Am for you. Is there a decent GP who would discuss the four issues with you, within the 10 minute appointment time?

And albs aaaargh. for you.

Hope P is finally full now oops. DD2 wolfed a phenomenal amount when DH got back and gave her her solid tea.

Great to see you CC. So pleased the move went well.

LOl at Dylan's chosen toys dizzy. E is far more keen on the laptop, remote control, speakers, DVD boxes etc. than anything actually designed for a 9 month old.

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 20:42

friend has just sent text, her baby girl born today at 28wks weighing in at only 2lb 12oz apparently doing well in SCBU though

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 20:45

sorry about your shitey day poppy have some Dairy milk, its on buy one get one free

hotterpotter · 14/05/2009 20:46

Buckets have fun with the Mentalist

Ann hello

Dizzy ironing is the devil's work, leave it

Oops at your gannet girl Hope she's full now.

CC glad the move went well and you're enjoying your new home When's the garden party???

ALBS what a bugger hope you get it sorted soon

Miamla that is so rubbish like Buckets I think that would have made me cry, although it doesn't take much these days

Have been crying on and off all afternoon, it's a month now since I found out I had failed the interview to get my own job, and my line manager has still not actually spoken to me about it. Not sure if I'm being pathetic but I don't think I am. I know he was off at first on paternity leave, but he's been back in nearly 3 weeks, has sent he odd text saying he'll try and call but it's very busy, he has actually tried once (big deal) but I was in the shower. I really don't think it's too much to think he could spare 5 minutes to see if I'm OK, is it, ven if they are really busy, so what? Perhaps I should do an AIBU

hotterpotter · 14/05/2009 20:50

Poppy sounds like you've had a bad day, very enterprising of DD2 to forage for her own food though glad to hear you are feeling better though

Dizzy 2lb 12oz what a tiny thing, will keep everything crossed for her

hotterpotter · 14/05/2009 20:56

Oh no have I driven you all away with my petulant whining

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 20:59

am here am on the phone though

poppysocks · 14/05/2009 20:59

Oh dizzy. Your poor friend. Must be such a worry. That's not a bad weight though and I'm sure she's in good hands.

Poor you hp. Does sound pretty unreasonable to me. Basic human decency aside from being a good manager. iirc we go back on the same day? 8th June? I'm certainly thinking about it more now that it's close .

hotterpotter · 14/05/2009 21:01

Leeds Leeds Leeds

One down, one to go

hotterpotter · 14/05/2009 21:04

Sorry, just channelling a little of DH's tension during the play-offs

Poppy I have wangled a few more days so am going back on 17 June still then I will be able to look properly for another job. Glad you think IANBU

oopsacoconut · 14/05/2009 21:05

HP -I'm here just packing and unpacking dishwasher as DH seems have a phone attached to his ear by super glue.

Poppy - sorry to hear you are not feeling great.

Dizzy What a tiny little baby - will keep them in our thoughts.

Miamla - can you just og into first appointment as say 'Whilst I'm here can you please help with .....' He can't exactly say no bog off and make 3 more appointments. That is what I tend to do.

Buckets - I have learnt what days the only worth while GP in the surgery works and tend to start ringing 2 mins before surgery opens. Enjoy The Mentalist.

oopsacoconut · 14/05/2009 21:07

HP - What crap from work. DO they not think they have a responsibility to discuss things with you regarding your job or lack there of?

dizzydixies · 14/05/2009 21:08

poppy why oh why oh WHY did you not phone me?!?!?!?? next time lady please phone

TwilightSurfer · 14/05/2009 21:25

Poppy are you pregnant?

Miamla why can't the nurse tell you what you need to know? Here it's the nurse that gives you way more info than the doc.

HP {{hugs}}

Dizzy nice job!!

Buckets, Oops, Ann, ALBS, Captain

Sazzles nice top!

Totally exhausted here. Babysitter was here 1 to 4. I had the neighbor's two girls from 11:30 to 2:30. Laundry still going. House is clean. Ran to the grocery store before sitter left so we can eat in for the next few days. Tonight is Kindergarten orientation (6pm) and it appears we are ALL going. Otherwise all is well in TwilightLand.

WHY THE HELL IS THERE NOT AN EXHAUSTED SMILEY???

poppysocks · 14/05/2009 21:25

Thanks dizzy. I did think about it! I know how busy you are at the mo. DH managed to leave work early thankfully.

poppysocks · 14/05/2009 21:27
