Hi Ann glad to hear you had a good night, you need to be fresh if you're off behind the wheel again today . No such luck here I'm afraid, DD tantrumming outside DS' room at 6.40 meant we were up quite early this morning

ALBS I am similarly daft sometimes, although my stupid timewasting game of choice is freecell

TS you mani/pedi your DD? My DD is lucky if she has her hair brushed

Buckets come on where is the cake???? Happy Birthday BucketGirl Hope you're feeling better today too

Oops but also for enforced MNing. Hope they can sort you out really soon.

CC if you accept heathens then I'd love to be a virtual godmother

Cyteen how fab that work will pay for some driving lessons . I'm sure you don't need many anyway Hoe will DP feel about letting you drive his car if when you pass?

Miamla what happened with the flapjack?????

Being invaded today with friends and children, shame it looks like it's going to rain . Any of you feel like coming over to eat sausage butties and assist in the general trashing of my house, you would be very welcome

Sazzles that's a mean boss thing to do [grrr]. Glad to hear I am not the only slovenlymother sensible one when it comes to bathing

Look forward to seeing you in a while then

Am being kicked off by DD as she wants her cbeebies game on. Not bad really, DH usually caves after 30 minutes. I have been ignoring her whining for nearly 2 hours

Later ladies...

Miamla · 27/05/2009 08:58

but i'm still second, right dizz?

sorry i disappeared and left you all in suspense about the flapjacks. DP pinched his laptop, the cheek of it
But i think it was all part of his cunning plan.... he had laptop upstairs, DS was alseep so it left me pottering around downstairs so I ended up ironing him 3 shirts. I don't do ironing but he appreciated it so not all bad

So, the news you were all waiting for... the flapjacks were retrieved from the oven, tested and put back in the oven for another half hour. Tested again and half were eaten . But, they are the savoury ones so they're positively healthy (apart from the kilo of cheese i used!)

Think i'm off to Leamington Spa today. Got a friend over there who's invited us round. I'm evaluating the siuation after a cup of tea

last night we had wake ups at (bed at 8.30), 10.30, 11, 1,3 and in bed with me he slept til 8!!! so not as good as previous night but hey ho

dp bought ds one of these yesterday. DS loves it! kept them both quiet for ages last night!

Miamla · 27/05/2009 08:59

hmm, that'll be my morning's brain dump then!

cyteen · 27/05/2009 09:06

LOL at everyone checking in for flapjack updates

Well done for all the sleeping babies, unfortunately your good influence didn't reach here Less fussing, thankfully, but Joe still woke up at midnight, 1ish, 3.30, 4.30 and then got up at 5.50 [bleurgh] Disturbingly, however, I didn't hear a peep out of him at 3.30 and 4.30 - DP got up both times, I didn't even have a clue that Joe had woken then My mummy radar is on the blink. Not that I'm complaining too much as I only feel moderately cronelike this morning.

Boy now asleep, I should be doing a million and one useful and productive things instead of MNing in my pyjamas.

Miamla if you're going to LS via Leicester, give me a shout

alittlebitshy · 27/05/2009 09:11

i love the way you just pop along to somewhere a good long drive away mamla. spontaneous for me is going to sainsburys rather than tescos .

Miamla · 27/05/2009 09:17

you've got me worried now, L Spa's not that far, is it?? perhaps i should check a map! ARe you really en-route cyteen?

Miamla · 27/05/2009 09:20

lol, its miles away! thought it was alot closer to London

Perhaps it had better be an overnighter instead of a day trip in that case! lol

and cyteen did you do geography girl? you're north of L spa and i'm coming from the south! you got me all excited about popping in on way up!

cyteen · 27/05/2009 09:25

Heh, no, my geography suck and I don't drive so my appreciation of exactly where things are is limited I just know that LS is near enough to be vaguely possible.

Miamla · 27/05/2009 09:31

vaguely possible? yes
going to happen? no

Miamla · 27/05/2009 09:31

sorry!

AnnVan · 27/05/2009 09:32

Aaargh. I really need to have a shower/ breakfast etc, but Seb is in full on clingy mode. Ack, can't do anything because he screams if I so much as put him down. And as for trying to mn - well he keeps right clicking, as he seems to have refined his love of the laptop to a love of the right mouse button - why?

AnnVan · 27/05/2009 09:33

Ooh sorry Oops -
Ok we're now out of bacon too, so that leaves toast or porridge ladies

ann, my cunning technique for having a shower is one of distraction. I've got a few toys that DS only sees once in a while so if i give hiim one of those, he's completely engrossed in the time it takes me to shower
I've got a similar toy for the car too, makes journeys a bit easier with him

Miamla · 27/05/2009 09:40

VG two things. firstly, you can stop shouting flapjack at me now. thanks very much for your concern but i promise i'll let you know if i need any more reminders!
secondly, you are a funny lady DS came over to investigate what i was laughing at when i read your note to CC
oh, i know i said two things, ;but thirdly, wow! v jealous of your own room potential! i do my sewing floating between the dining table or my sewing cabinet depending on whether DS is asleep or not. (if i'm on dining table, he can see me but can't get to me through the stair gate on the door but sewing cabinet is in 'his' play room aka as our living room so he's got easy access) Hmm, perhaps i should move sewing cabinet into dining room....

oopsacoconut · 27/05/2009 11:47

Oooh it's 11.45 already I took DD up at 9.20 for anap and we have just got up .

alittlebitshy · 27/05/2009 12:56

yay for naps!!!

I did that a few times when ds was slepeing uber badly - (is one of the perks of having older dc at schgool in the day)

VG you are quite funny.

It's raining again. And of course we HAVE TO go out in it. DD1 has her kindergarten test today. This is the one administered by her new school. At this moment she's removing all my pots and pans because "her sister wants them". On a positive note she's keeping Reese out of the cat flap.

Weird dreams for me all night. Everybody I'm friends with on facebook were at this huge lake park here. Very strange.

Off to tidy myself before going out. No shower necessary since it's raining so hard....would be pointless.

As for dd1's mani/pedi....if you'd seen how disgusting she looked after running around outside all day, barefoot, playing in the dirt. EEUUWWWW! She required a full head to toe scrub. She would sit still for me to scrap the dirt from under all her nails so I quickly just trimmed them all. Again EEEUUUWWW!

Have a nice day.

there's one of those different translation words mrsazzles and i discussed. lol for me the "quite" has more of an "absolute" meaning without using the word absolutely since i use it way to often in real life.

TwilightSurfer · 27/05/2009 13:38

thank you. i'm sure surfergirl will ride her wave with flying colors.
