I am currently looking for another highchair to replace our Antilop which is going to live in the Auction room. My folks have given us some money to buy a wooden one - looked at the Tripp Trapp and also the funpod but not sure which. Both about the same money.

Sazz - if you are planning to try Woodchester best get your walking boots on, it's a bit of a yomp.

I have nothing to add to your emporium I have only one of each thing - I need more LO's or a big shopping trip!

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/05/2009 21:26

LOL we could all open a shop. I am looking at other prams AGAIN as dd took another chunk out of ds face when they were in pram yesterday. It had just healed from last time and she did it again. little man held his breath and went blue. Looks a mess.
DH still not here and wine not yet opened. will get it open now.

cyteen · 25/05/2009 21:26

oops we don't even have a highchair atm - had to throw our John Lewis one away as it had gone all mildewy , not impressed. DS has been eating all his meals picnic-style on a cloth on the floor.

dizzydixies · 25/05/2009 21:27

can't recommend the tripp trapp enough oops but don't get a painted one, go for the wooden one - the paint is coming off ours but then we're not exactly easy on them

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 25/05/2009 21:30

the reason I like the tripp trapp is that we move the seat height down as the girls grow, they're still not really tall enough for a normal seat AND it has a foot rest so I can stick them up at the table for ages arts n crafts, tea, colouring in etc and they don't get tired

oopsacoconut · 25/05/2009 21:41

I have to confess I like the funpod as it can be a chair, highchair, low chair, with or without tray, and then can be used as she gets older to help with the cooking.

Cyteen am [shocked] that a highchair can not last that long.

dizzydixies · 25/05/2009 21:41

No1 what are you looking at now?

I am just a sucker for a gimmick!

No1 - a NEW PUSHCHAIR??? how are you planning on sitting them so DD can't take bits out of M?

dizzydixies · 25/05/2009 21:47

you're absolutely right Sazz the accountant speaks sense ladies, I just love the tripp trapp and the girls do too although I won't be buying a third, DD1 can go on a seat by that time

oops there has to be a back to back option surely and if anyone can find it No1 can

oopsacoconut · 25/05/2009 22:05

We will most likely get a tripp trapp as they last so much longer. the kids at work sit use theirs and the DD is 9! Thanks Dizzy for the wise words on the painted ones - I fancied a turquiose one but will stick to wood.

Sazzles - Ikea do a similar one to your ones but in dark wood now but my mum wanted something 'proper' for DD. Not sure what that means but it is her being born present so they win on choice and price.

oopsacoconut · 25/05/2009 22:07

I am being summoned to bed so will 'see' you all tomorrow.

dizzydixies · 25/05/2009 22:08

I have a turquoise and a red one and the paint is coming off. my friend has two wooden ones and they still look as new - I'm more shabby shabby chic than she is but still

Sazz, its more likely to climb up and steal grated cheese if we're honest!
