Must make more effort to 'get groove on'....

CaptainCaveman · 19/05/2009 13:25

Actually must just make more effort. Full stop.

cyteen · 19/05/2009 13:30

albs sorry to hear of card cloning woes I gather it all got sorted quickly though, so that's good.

hotter absolutely NBU to expect maybe a smidgen of support/sympathy from your erstwhile workmates Wankers.

Miamla your docs sound totally useless, can you change surgery? What kind of 'system' is that anyway? They are fules. If it makes you feel any better, you looked the picture of willowy elegance and health when we met, I was most

(Have msgd you btw.)

CC! My fellow mover, so glad to hear all is well with the new gaff. I am likewise resolved to keep it clean this time round, after the post-move fridge cleaning horror Thankfully the new place is so much smaller and better laid out, it should be easy - you can vacuum the whole house in ten minutes

Do I get an award for slummy mummy of the week? Managed to forget Joe's travel cot AND baby monitor when we came down to PIL's yesterday, so he spent the night in bed with me while DP slept in the other spare room. Also he's napping in the carseat despite the fact that he will be in it again this afternoon for the journey home. I'm sorry Joe

CaptainCaveman · 19/05/2009 13:36

Nicely done cyteen, I like your style

Miamla · 19/05/2009 13:41

cyteen "willowy elegance"? aww shucks! you've made me blush! I'm going to try and remember that next time i'm feeling grotty.

Good work Sazzles, I am resolved to do more activity now that we're back in the land of the living and have a big leisure centre nearby.

We bought Joe a walker last weekend, the big-pair-of-pants kind, he is in heaven He's roaring with laughter right now as he traverses the kitchen floor. I meanwhile have been poking through the cupboards and fridge in search of something to give him for lunch that didn't expire in 2007 Love my PIL but they really need to sort their food out.

TwilightSurfer · 19/05/2009 14:27

sazzles, fit bloke in sauna was gay.[grim]

TwilightSurfer · 19/05/2009 14:28

LOL!

TwilightSurfer · 19/05/2009 14:29

Gin[groin] and now [grim] our baby sleep deprived minds are full of mistypes.

i wonder if i've mistyped in my check register and actually have more money than i thought......?

alittlebitshy · 19/05/2009 14:29

unfortunately my card cloning woes are not over .

The feckers got over £140 and the card claims ppl have to send me forms which i have to fill in before I can be re-credited THEN they have to open a dispute. raaaah.

Sazzles the very fact that you can retain such dazzling information inspires me . You didn't say that to the guy in the sauna did you ?

Just off to pick ds1 up from school and then going to purchase some cleaning items [saintly glow emoticon]

oopsacoconut · 19/05/2009 15:31

Just a quickie in passing

anyone near Leicester this bank holiday Monday this look like great fun. am I'm not closer.

cyteen · 19/05/2009 15:35

Ooh yes, a friend from NCT mentioned that - think the family cyteen will attend! Any other August ladies fancy a daytrip to my manor?

DS is riding the mother of all brown waves at the moment At least 10 poos yesterday (all of them looking and smelling like lentils) and currently expelling the fifth or sixth of today. Sorry for TMI, also sorry that I find it so amusing

oopsacoconut · 19/05/2009 15:40

Cyteen - DD is doing the same - I changed 5 poo nappies this moning before we left the house at 11am. I initially blamed the samosas Dh has been feeding her but now it has been going on for days I really ought to feed her some non fiberous food for a day or two!

TwilightSurfer · 19/05/2009 15:44

Sazzles I can not even count the number of times I have to use the 9 rule. It's all because I tend to work on the balances late at night or with scream children around me...start typing the number, look away, look back, number gets jumbled, keep going, blah blah blah.

cyteen WHAT are you feeding to create such poos?

i just braved a trial use of nair. i don't know if all of the bikini area counts as trial other than it's either going to react or not react. fairly pleased with the outcome. i wonder if it's as good for the whole leg? anybody?? vg i think you mentioned using veet. wasn't brave enough to get wax and do it myself. no time to go get it done professionally. a friend gets her brows threaded...that sounds cool. beauty stuff is such a pain in the ass....costs too much...hurts....blah blah blah

anybody guess my word of the day?

cyteen · 19/05/2009 16:16

TS Mackerel fishcakes yesterday, lentil burgers and broccoli/cheese muffins the day before...he's really been shovelling it in lately.

cyteen · 19/05/2009 16:24

Right girls, I'm out again till Friday. See you then

Miamla · 19/05/2009 16:54

ts your word of the day? i reckon its "bald"

sazz dear goodness! now you're making me I'm sure i've done nothing to deserve all this but you're certainly cheering me up!

but how does the divide by 9 thing work?!!

cyteen hmm,i'm coming to yours for dinner!

dizzydixies · 19/05/2009 17:37

gah, have spent ages making mushroom soup and am not sure if its quite nice or minging

off to do Rainbow run

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 19/05/2009 19:55

Hi everyone, missing you all, but bit shite here lately. Hope to catch up properly real soon.
I am having my hair done tomorow [drastic emoticon] will post pics if I can.
Think mail box

....possibly early mid life crisis

LoveBuckets · 19/05/2009 20:39

Right, which of my 3 Mars Bars should I start with? (They were 3 for £1.20 in Co-op - how could I refuse?)

TS Well done for facing your doc (and not attacking him.) I remember seeing my evil midwife when I was pg with DS1 and in the middle of a PTSD relapse, I managed to hide in a corner without her seeing me. Then went up to see my doc (who did all my antenatal checkups so I could avoid her) and cried about it. Think I would have punched her if she'd spoken to me.

I've done home waxing/sugaring on my legs and it was all comedy and agony rolled into one, wouldn't recommend it. Hence am way too scared to let anyone near my bikini area and anyway I'm pretty sure DH would just ROFL if I did anything more than trim it and wouldn't come near me til it grew out.

Steaky Pretty sure Miamla or someone crafty could knock you up a replica squirrelfox . Pattern here

Went for swim, jacuzzi, sauna and steam last night with friend, followed by a pint of real ale and a pudding in a lovely cosy quiet bar I've discovered in town. If I'd gotten a shag too it would have been the perfect night. Apart from the red and white heat rash I got on my legs after, now I know how VG feels.

STILL don't know what cheque balancing means {blush].

oopsacoconut · 19/05/2009 21:01

Buckets - balancing your cheque book is where you check the cashed cheques against your bank balance. IN the US and South Africa they send back the cheques you write so you can tick them off as cashed and work out how much moiney you have left! (I think)

I am waiting for DH to dish up the ice cream with sprinkles.

DD is very clingy atm and won't play on the floor and when I leave the room she screams blue murder. if she is on me she will happily play and smile at anyone, it is very very tiring!
