cyteen · 15/05/2009 17:00

Gaahhhhhh another thread already that I will probably miss, seeing as cocking BT have completely ballsed up our broadband service and thus we will not be connected till next Friday I am MNing from DP's office - that's dedication!

Hi to everyone, will see you all again next Friday All fine here apart from being Plague House, DP and I have had colds/flu and Joe had his first ever Exorcist-style projectile puking episode last Sunday.

Miamla · 15/05/2009 18:10

albs wish i'd seen your message re tomorrow before i popped round! doh! not sure what's happening tomorrow, i'll do my best to pop in but think dp might want the cat

Miamla · 15/05/2009 18:10

lol, dp hates cats! it'll be the car he might want!

Miamla · 15/05/2009 18:16

sazz trust me....i'm really really bad at netball
I'm glad DD1 is being adorable, you're right about 2s being badly represented on here

cyteen hello! sorry to hear you're having bt issues

Miamla · 15/05/2009 18:17

oh and sazz sorry I woke Emma up but really, she was just being greedy having all that sleep to herself!

dizzydixies · 15/05/2009 18:30

it is CHUCKING it down here and I mean the kind of rain that bounces back up at your face off the sodding pavement typically DH will spend most of the wkend sleeping off stupid shifts so I imagine I will be lacking in patience and hair by about 3pm tomorrow

kids whinging, DH working and I'm shattered after a terrible night with DD2 and Dylan - permission to be in bed on a Fri night by 8pm please

LoveBuckets · 15/05/2009 18:42

Sazzles Lol at needing to record your good moments with DD1, good idea.

I was useless at all sports at school, refused to wear trainers for years once I didn't have to do PE. The first pair I eventually bought as a grown up were orange platform ones (thanks Baby Spice). In the 5th year I was asked to join the netball team but that was only because it wasn't cool anymore and everyone was dropping out, plus by then I was relatively tall. Funnily enough I declined the offer.

I've just written a song. Not sure where it came from, was inspired by yet another songwriting friend and also my jealousy that DH's band are now playing a song he wrote. Weird thing is it's a teensy bit country and I HATE country music (apart from Jolene by Dolly Parton, everyone loves that don't they?). DD is now sitting next to me playing my guitar and extemporising a lament about hard schoolwork.

LoveBuckets · 15/05/2009 18:43

Ooh got another poo in the potty from DS1 tonight

TwilightSurfer · 15/05/2009 18:56

hi

dd1 scored above average on the first of two pre-kindergarten pre-tests . one is administered by her preschool...i'm sure it's to see how well they've done. the other will be administered by her new school...probably to see where to place her. makes me smile.

dizzy i'm with you on the shattered front. my dreams of a good nights rest were blasted into next year by a storm last night that sounded like i was bunked in the middle of a battle field...with the battle going full force. dd1 lasted an hour then crawled into our bed. reese slept through the entire thing. she slept from 9p to 5a. me....awake from 10:30p until 1:30a.

miamla i love your news. go walking babies!!!

sazzles you made me smile with your moment with midi-sazzle. she's such an adorable child.

still feeling under the weather here. i've had a headache for 5 days. thought it was sinus but now believe it to be hormonal...started spotting after lunch. i've felt run down for days. the nurse mentioned in her message to me that my blood tests came back normal but like buckets i have a hard time with that result. something is abnormal because i don't feel normal. don't anybody get any crazy ideas about implanation bleeding...dh has kept his distants for a while. i think his new meds have cause a slight depression to set in with him. we're both a sad lot at the moment.

i promise to find some really uplifting happy news to share with all soon.

dizzydixies · 15/05/2009 19:22

TS well done midi-surfer but sorry to hear you're blue - maybe bucket's country song might help would you try some echinecea to help you stop feeling run down?

sazz I'm sorry but I'm on Midi-Sazz's side here, its a girl's right to have red shoes have swapped voddie and chaka khan for dairy milk and Eastenders!!!

LoveBuckets · 15/05/2009 20:19

Have just recorded a 'lalala' version of my song and it's become a Greek/Jewish wedding dance. Whodathunkit? DH will be ROFLing when he hears it but I say it's a barnstormer!

Sazzles Well he is 4, it's about bloomin time.

TS Have a google of Vitex Agnus Castus, it's a plant that's supposed to balance your hormones. I took it before I started TTC my eldest as I was convinced that chlamydia and depo provera had rendered me barren. Can't say whether it helped balance me or not, 2 accidental pgs later suggest my fears were mistaken LOL. Well done Surfer Major btw.

Dizzy Hope weather improves so you can get the big 2 running about and exhausting themselves.

Hi all

We have a lazy morning here as Dh did not start work until 12. Then we did manic running around trying to get cakes baked, tiffin made, flapjacks cooked and dinner ready for when Dh came home at 8.15. He really wanted DD to saty awake for him but she was so flat tired I had to put her to bed. We have an auction tomorrow which will be exhausting enough without a tired girl.

We have had leek and bacon risotto with a bit of chorizo to add a bit more meat for DH.

Sazzles - I was desperate to go camping the week before DD was due but DH convieniently booked his car in for a service so we didn't go - I still hold it against him now! DD1 sounded angelic this morning.

Miamla - I can't believe your boy is walking.

Buckets - you tube your song then we can see it.

Dizzy - it has been peeing it down here too today and there was a pi$$y old man parked in a parent and child spot at Tesco, I glared at him as I dragged a soaking wet DD into the shop and he gave me the finger and carried on reading his paper, so I was a cow and tolfd the customer service desk, I was cold and wet as was DD who scored a new set of clothes in the sale.

TS - well done to Midisurfer, all that back talk and stroppiness may be down to her being very bright and needing loads of stimulation and variety.

oopsacoconut · 15/05/2009 20:58

Who's I forget?

Hi Cyteen hope your broadband is fixed soon.

any more????

hotterpotter · 15/05/2009 21:20

Evening all

Just nipping on while DH finishes tidying then off to drink wine and watch telly.

Oops you are a baking whirlwind! DD and I made bagels for the first time this afternoon, they were great fun to make and have turned out pretty well for our first try

Your dinner sounds yummy too Sazzles

Buckets I am in awe of your creativity. I love singing but do not sound good Thankfully DCs not yet old enough to realise

ALBS good luck for tomorrow

TS well done to DD1 Hope you and DH feel better soon

Dizzy sleep well I'm sure there will be some sunshine to send your DDs out into over the weekend [fingers crossed]

Miamla housemaids knee . Am with you on the hatred of netball. I always was goal defence due to being tall, but was never really any good. And yay for seeing DS walk what a clever boy you have

Steaky welcome back! Hope your break is good for you all . Sorry I won't get to meet you but Bristol/London too far

No1 if you're there, you don't have to have good news to post

Wine time now, have been looking forward to it since 9am

We sing a version of Jolene every time we drive through Goleen -a village near here.

Miamla - woohoo on the steps and re. your knee.

DH has asked me not to reveal his identity to you via (from 4.57 on) this clip

Eek - he's coming back!

OP posts:
Sibh · 15/05/2009 22:04

He's a drama teacher by the way.
Not a member of Westlife.

Buckets - we need that song!

Sazzles - glad to hear midi-Sazzles is in such lovely form. Like the place where I live, toddlers are beautiful on a fine every day.
