Miamla you need to walk into the ONE appointment and say, "I AM A WHOLE PERSON AND SHOULD BE TREATED AS SUCH! THIS VISIT IS ABOUT MAKING ME WELL, WHICH IS ONE THING, AND THAT REQUIRES A DISCUSSION ABOUT THREE DIFFERENT PROBLEMS!"

and if that doesn't work say, "CERVIXKNEEPILES IS MY PROBLEM!"

Makes me realise how good my surgery is. Sounds like Miamla's doctor has got some crazy power trip going on

It's pissing down here and I am in a foul mood this morning. Sorry if I'm a bit snippy, have already yelled at the dog and sworn at the cat andthechildren

Miamla · 15/05/2009 08:41

thanks all! you see, this is why i chose the aug girls and not the july ones (and nothing at all to do with being thrown off the july thread eh dizz ) You've all made me smile this morning by how angry you're getting on my behalf.

booking an appt in DS's name is sheer genius! I'll probably get banned from the surgery for booking an appt for a child that's not ill!
But yes, i'm going to write down what TS wrote and quote that if i need to. i'll see how i get on Monday morning

right, off to find my results letter

Miamla · 15/05/2009 08:44

oh and good morning!

hotpot have a rant on here. seriously, it really helps! i felt like i was completely fallling physically apart yesterday

sazz love your disclaimer!

ts its actually CERVIXKNEEPILESANAEMIA but yes, i am definitely going to quote you! very wise words

hmm, other posts are on previous page so once i've found my results, i'll read back and remind myself!

Miamla · 15/05/2009 08:46

oh and while i think of it... DS has got a new trick.. he's worked out how to clap [proud mum] But things get tricky when he tries to stand and clap at the same time, he gets too excited and keeps wobbling over!

Ooooh and he took another step on Wednesday so I've seen him doing it now

morning.
ds napping cos he woke up earlyish i think (was mutetring to himself, sucking his bars and i;m not sure if he went back to slepe or not).

when he wakes up we have to go food shopping for dd's party tomorrow. eek party.

miamla i thoguht my gps could be crap but yours... well.... so ridiculous.

Miamla · 15/05/2009 08:52

DP must have moved my results...they were surprisingly easy to find!

so here goes, any help appreciated

Findings: Linear hyperintensity within posterior medial meniscus could represent intrasubstance tear. Lateral meniscus appears normal.
Cruciate and collateral ligaments, patellar ligament and quadriceps tendon are normal.
Small marginal patellar osteophytes. Lateral narrowing of femoropatellar joint space and chondromalacia patellae grade 2. Subchondral lesion seen at femoral trochlea.
Small joint effusion. Discrete prepatellar bursitis.

Conclusion: Impression for intrasubstance tear of posterior medial meniscus. Lateral narrowing of femoropatellar joint and chondromalacia patella grade 2

Recommendation: Specialist referral is recommended

blimey, i applaud anyone that makes sense out of that lot!!

Steaknife · 15/05/2009 09:35

okay.
who ordered rain, chaffed nipples and a big stinky nappy?
I am sure I didn't but it has been delivered and there is no return address.

Lomg day yesterday.
Flight delayed by an hour and a half because of a bird strike when the plane landed at Marseille.
Izzy was v good on the flight.
Mind you it took us four hours to get to dads - the AA riute finder rekons two and a half hours. but dad took the scenic route - pretty but loooooooooooooooong.

A bit of shoppy shoppy today should sort me out.

A couple of questions....

Should I be worried about Izzy's poos? Normally a solid one per day - is this normal? I thought they should still be a bit squishy.
And - where apart from Mothercare can I pick up some nice bodysuits on the highstreet.

Right nappy to be changed.
Sorry for not replying to you all - hope you have good fridays.

Miamla · 15/05/2009 09:45

hi steaky
welcome to the UK

DS's poos vary between solid plums and squishy. not sure if this helps or not

glad you had a good flight.

has a london meetup been arranged?

LoveBuckets · 15/05/2009 10:10

Morning all. Raspberry muffins right here ladies.

Steaky Big Sainsburys does lovely girls clothes (and some nice Mum ones too) v cheap.

We too have clapping in the last few days, I nearly cried because it just seems like all his achievements are done to impress/amuse me (as opposed to being entirely self-serving or to stop me nagging in DS1's case). He's also very pleased with himself for learning to do High Fives, although I'm a bit because at some point soon it will get muddled up with the sign for no/stop when we need it.

Finally a lazy day here, not planning to leave the house except for schoolruns. In fact I think I'll go make some coffee and lounge around in bed til Squirt wakes up.

albs sorry, missed your post you sneaked in between mine. what more have you got left to sort for her party? if you'd given me some warning i could h;ave popped round to help!

sazz 399 in 44 days? but that's not even 10 a day! good grief! most of us do 10 each a day. some probably have a higher average than that

Miamla · 15/05/2009 11:00

sazz re your knee.. was that the official medical term "royally buggered"? did they mange to get you sorted or do you still get pain from it now?

my mum gave me a lecture yday about how knees are important and we should look after them/get them seen to if they hurt. and during the conversation she accidentally let slip that hers has hurt her since before she had me
What's the saying about do as i say and not as i do!

Miamla · 15/05/2009 11:05

lol, i've just googled a few words off my results and apparenty "prepatellar bursitis" is also known as "housemaid's knee" Lol! Is this proof that i've been a better housewife? but I can tell you something for nothing.. my knee has got nothing to do with being on my hands and knees scrubbing floors

Miamla · 15/05/2009 11:07

you lot are going to be pleased when my knee is better and i'm able to go out walking again! otherwise we're going to do a new thread every week

right i'm off now to do something practical like drink my cup of tea and eat the double decker that is screaming at me from the kitchen (its good medicine don't cha know!)

i think it was because they (my school) used to automatically put me in the squad even though i was useless and hated it. Obviously because i liked and was good at all the other sports they did (hockey, athletics), my dislike of netball was a mistake on my behalf
some girls used to try out for years to get on the squad and hated me for not even going for try outs but still having my name put down!

can you please explain to Emma that she needs to share the sleep quota with the other aug babies..its not all for her
thank you! (ds napped for 20 mins today so far)

photo on my profile of my soon-to-be godson's christening present (his name's henry in case you couldn't guess from photo, its about A4 to give you an idea of scale) Its an unusual christening present because his mum commented on how she's not sure what to do with all the silver stuff from her other DCs' christenings! i got him an illustrated bible as well so there's a bit of tradition with that at least.

Miamla · 15/05/2009 12:05

DS was so eager to get hold of my mobile earlier that he took two steps to come over and collect it! my baby's walking!!!!!! almost! he was giggling so much after he'd done two that he fell over

alittlebitshy · 15/05/2009 12:38

I meant sucking his bears . though ds being ds his (cot) bars would appeal too......

maimal we're under control Doing v lazy food - sarnies is the most effort we'r emaking this year (apart from dh's creationn cake.).

If you're free tomorrow miamla do feel free to come to the party (2-4 same hall as christening) - dd would love having one of her grown up friends there).
