missnatalie · 30/06/2010 18:56

Gosh!! I havnt been on here for such a long time!! Its taken me a while to find the thread.

How are we all doing? Ok i hope

Well i have some news......Im pregnant again with another Feb baby. Still early days. Im only 8w but am kinda getting excited. I feel like death warmed up. Sickness ALL day. Tiredness ALL day. It was never this bad with Henley.

I cant even go into our kitchen as all the food smells make me wana puke. Even changing a dirty nappy has me throwing up. Its horrible.

Weve put the potty training on hold for a while. He was doing really well for a few weeks but then suddenly hes terrified of the potty. We even bought 1 of those fisher price musical ones but still terrified. He tells me when hes done a wee so he must be near ready. Any ideas how i can get him over his potty fear?

Please not a word on FB about the pregnancy. We havnt told anyone yet

xxx

sunshinesarahandco · 30/06/2010 21:36

OMG Miss nat, CONGRATULATIONS, thats wonderful news, hope the sickenss passes fast!

cant help with potty fear though i am afraid, stick around wont you its very quiet in here!!!!LOL

loobyt · 01/07/2010 11:31

Hi everyone!

Probably don't remember me, haven't posted in ages. Hope everyone and their little ones are doing well.

Congrats Missnat. I'm pregnant too, 32 weeks now and I must admit that the thought of a new born and a toddler is a little scary!

We've also moved to sunny Devon where we are renovating our cottage. Loads to do before the baby is born, including fitting a staircase, currently using a ladder!

So how is everyone getting on with potty training. We are trying and DS has used it a few times in the evening when he's nappyless before his bath but not really given it a go throughout the day yet. They say girls take to it better then boys, not sure if that's true.

Anyway, will try and pop in a little bit more often from now on.

Take care all.

sunshinesarahandco · 02/07/2010 14:19

hey looby i remember you! congrats on the new home and new baby very exciting!

new baby and toddler are not as bad as you think! baby will just fit right into family life! my new baby is now 19 weeks-he was born feb 19th and is a dream,!

as for potty training Rosie is sometimes keen and others not at aLL

LOVELY TO HEAR FROM YOU AND BE CAREFUL ON THAT LADDER!LOL

loobyt · 03/07/2010 10:33

Hi Sarah!

Thanks for the reassurance, I suppose you do forget just how much a new born sleeps during the day which should, I hoope, take the pressure of a bit.

We have finally had a joiner round to measure up for our staircase so it should be don't within the next 3 weeks. Good job as I really want to try for another home birth this time.

Another Feb baby for you then, did you have a boy or a girl?

Glad I'm not the only one still working on the potting training! No rush though, they'll get there in the end.

Lovely to hear from you too, I'll try to keep in touch this time!

sunshinesarahandco · 06/07/2010 18:21

hi looby- baby boy, 7lb 11 oz, arrived a 38 weeks another very quick delivery!

we called him Elliott and he is just a lovely baby always happy and very good generally-

at the time of his arrival we had Rosie in plaster cast- she has hip surgery in Jan to correct a missed clicky hip! spent 14 long weeks in cast so we were so busy with her Elliott has just had to fit into family life and so far so good!

we are back to the hospital next thurs for what is hopefully her last operation, to have the pins removed from the hip! hopefully all will go well and we will be home the same day x

wont bore you any more about it though!

sunshinesarahandco · 11/07/2010 12:47

thought i would pop in and see how you all are,

Rosie has her last op on wed- we have to be in wolverhampton hospital for 7am!(her consultant works there and at the birmingham childrens !!! what fun! hopefully only be in a few hours and be back home to rest, she is only having the metal pins removed so not too gruesome! still another general anastetic Rosie is ok, and semi understands!

will b e sure to let you know how she gets on x

Bessie123 · 14/07/2010 12:15

Hi Sarah. Hope Rosie is ok and the op went well.

sunshinesarahandco · 14/07/2010 20:44

hi bessie!

Rosie had her pins removed today, all went well and she has recovered very well indeed, we are at home, and expect her to be sore for a few days, calpol you are my friend!

she has dissolvable stitches so should heal very quickly, we have been reffered for physio as the doc felt her hip was too stiff, so thats something to force her to do! lol

hope everyone else is well, x

sunshinesarahandco · 18/07/2010 10:37

where did u all go?

missnatalie · 18/07/2010 21:32

Hi, im still here....lurking . Got terrible pregnancy sickness. All day everyday. Im 10w now and lost 12lbs as i just cant keep a single thing down. Doc wanted to admit me to hospital but i refused as no one to look after DS and DH cant get any time off work at all at the moment. Im surviving (just) on ice cold water and chopped up pieces of apple. I really do feel terrible. Cant wait until all the sickness is over.

So glad to here that Rosies op went well Sarah. Who is here consultant at New Cross. Henley was under Dr Dyson & Kalra. They really are fab on the childrens ward. I think he was on C1 or maybe C2?? Cant quite remember.

I promise to keep in touch but at the moment i have no energy at all to come on here. Hope you are both well

xx

sunshinesarahandco · 18/07/2010 21:58

hey nat x sorry to hear u r feeling so poorly hope it passes soon and u feel better,

we were under mr phillips on ward c2! the staff were brilliant- will be going back to birmingham childrens for her out patients appt from now- her doc works at both sites!

sunshinesarahandco · 28/07/2010 08:40

are u all too busy having a life to post on here?????

lljkk · 28/07/2010 11:15

Hi Sunshine-etc. .
I am still around, never sure what to say.
No more head or body gashes lately.

Am still getting nowwhere with the toilet training. DS just isn't interested. Is now officially the latest of my lot to toilet train. Is trying to say more but still very unclear.

Is cute but stroppy!

I am having a rather boring summer school holiday, but at least it's a change from usual hecticness.

sunshinesarahandco · 28/07/2010 12:04

lol so glad i am not alone in here!!!!

we have just started the toilet training here- with Rosie having 3 operations in the last 5 monts we have had to delay, she is doing very well tbh- its me who is struggling!

enjoying the holidays here, a nice break from the school run,

lots of days out planned here but we shall see how much gets done,

took the dc's to see a show yesterday called the little big club, all on stage in our local theatre, it had fifi, barney, fireman sam, bob the builder, pingu, angelina ballerina too, the kids thought is was brilliant, and had a blast!

dh is having his vasectomy today-sob- this means no more babies ever!!!!!
i have 3 so really dont plan to have any more but its just so final!!!!

gotta go Rosie is doing sticking!!!! there is glue and glitter everywhere!!!LOL

lljkk · 28/07/2010 13:07

Part of me thinks that I really do not want to do Toilet Training if it's going to be a hassle; I don't want small one clamouring for a wee at inconvenient moments, and knowing that he really can' wait so I'll have to drag all the reluctant others off to a loo every time. I'm not one to lug a potty around, either -- I need him to be big enough to perch on a regular toilet seat.

SOooo... I am gritting my teeth and looking on the bright side .

sunshinesarahandco · 26/08/2010 15:50

hi to anyone who may be lurking! we are 95% dry in the day and very happy about it! yay

hope all is well x

loobyt · 27/08/2010 14:28

Hi all, no Sarah, not been too busy having a life to post, I've been too busy having a baby! Tilly was born on 23rd August after a 1 hour 20 minute labour, from start to finish! I had her at home, was planned that way but won't have made it to the hospital anyway. My DH started to deliver her and was rescued by the paramedics who arrived literally two minutes before she flew out. So no time for any pain relief, not even gas and air! Was very scary and so different from my 20 hour labour with DS! She is so beautiful and DS is being a great big brother!

Re: potty training, DS loves his potty and will happily use it when we let him run around nappy free. He has had one outing in big boy pants and that was a success. DH is going to concentrate on potty training over the nest couple of weeks and try and crack it!

Sarah glad Rosies op went well, she's such a brave little girl and well done on the potty training!

Missnat - sorry you are having such a hard time of it. I hope things get better for you in the second trimester.

sunshinesarahandco · 27/08/2010 14:32

aaawwwww congratulations Looby- what a fantasitc birth story! glad all is good keep us posted on how you are doing, x

Egg · 03/09/2010 19:57

Wow hello you lot. I just re-found this in threads i am watching. Had a quick skim over the last few months. Congratulations Looby on the v quick delivery of Tilly (lovely name). I hope things are going well.

Also congratulations to Missnat, hope you are feeling better and your 12-week scan went ok.

We just moved house last weekend but only in same road (we were renting before). I tried to potty train DD before we moved so she could wee on rented carpets instead of our new ones (!). She is doing really well but now DS2 has joined in. He is also doing well and sits on potty at right times without prompting, but he wees over the floor every time due to angle of willy! Might try to get him weeing standing up...

Sarah I feel I have kept up to date with you as see your facebook updates (despite me not being v active on facebook...). Glad everything is going well. Am jealous of your DH's snip!!! Wish I could get mine to have it done...

lljkk · 04/09/2010 06:09

Ooh, I am so jealous of those of you making good progress with the toilet training. DS continues to have NO interest.

Congratulations to those with new babies. Not that I want one myself, but they are just such lovely creatures, aren't they? :)

DS is finally talking more, he tries to copy many of the things we say. His sound production is still way off so, eg., "chick" comes out as "dit" but he is making steady progress.

sunshinesarahandco · 05/09/2010 21:16

EGG!!!!!!!! wow i cannot tell u how lovely it is to 'see u'! hope i havnt bored u to death on FB! how are Ben, Jacob and Rebecca?oh and tell ur DH that the snip was no where near as bad as my DH expected :)

for anyone else who wants to add me on FB-i'm Sarah Monaghan! i am always on there!

Grin

lljkk glad to hear ds is talking now ! hope ur well x

Rosie is starting nursery on Tuesday- just 2 mornings and a week and i cannot wait, she is so ready to have her independance! lol

rozzyraspberry · 12/09/2010 20:22

Hi everyone - I've not been on here for ages - life has been a bit mad!! I've increased my hours at work so now only have 3 days a month off which is fine but busy. I'm also running my very first marathon in 3 weeks (eek!) and the training for that has been very time consuming. I've managed to raise quite a bit for alzheimers though so it will all be worth it!

Congrations looby and sarah on the new babies and on the pregnancy missnat (and to anyone else I've missed).

My dh has also just had the snip - all went wellSmile.

My 3 boys are all well - ds3 started playgroup 3 mornings a week a few weeks ago. Was a bit distressing for the first 5/6 visits - he had a lot more stamina for screaming than the other 2 ever did. He's settled in now and loves it though which is great.

Hope everyone is well xx

sunshinesarahandco · 13/09/2010 11:06

hey 'rozzy lovely to hear from you too, x

wd on the marathon training, good for you to raise money for such an important charity,

Glad to hear your DS 3 settles at playgroup/nursery, Rosie is going tomorrow for the first time- i have stayed up until now! she is excited so i am hoping its not too bad x

sunshinesarahandco · 20/09/2010 13:09

u all gone into hiding again? lol

all good here,
