alkar · 18/01/2010 14:17

Lol Bessie!!

Forgot to say glad the sweat test was -ve strawberry.

Sarah, hows Rosie?

snowflakesarahandco · 18/01/2010 17:25

hey ladies,

Rosie is ok, we are home from the hospital after a long 8 hours in surgery and a 3 night stay- i am shattered, Rosie is once again doing very well, she is very pale as she has lost alot of blood the hospital did't want to gicve her a transfusion but she is on iron medication and will be for some weeks ahead,

On the whole doing very well, very happy as usual and eating like a horse!!!

i on the other hand am exhausted, 6 weeks till baby is due and feeling it now!!! the hospital have called to inform me i have a nasty uti PSEUDOMONAS?(sp)that needs to be treated asap intravenously but i need to be in for at least 3 days and atm i cannot spare 3 days so we are trying to get a soulution together am going to discuss it with the mw on wed morning!!!!
i fell well in myself and the baby is at no risk its my kideneys theya re worried about!! it never rains but it pours!!!!

hope your all ok, xxxx

strawberrycornetto · 18/01/2010 22:08

Oh Sarah, you so don't need that. What terrible timing. I knownits easier said than done but make sure youtake care of yourself. You need to be strong to care for everyone else!! I can't believe you've only got 6 weeks left. Glad to hear Rosie is ok, children are so resilient.

Heard back from DS's consultant. The tests only showed minor reflux but he is going to treat it. He still wants to the ct scan done though so it sounds like he's not sure. I so wanted a definitive diagnosis but if er have rules everything out I guess we will just be left with bad luck. He's my Friday afternoon baby!!

snowflakesarahandco · 21/01/2010 12:46

good news, mystery infection of which i had no symptoms has disappeared!!! how very bizare- however i will not moan as it means i dont have to go into the hospital for days and have iv anti biotics!!LOL plus run the risk of getting noro virus as the hospital is bogged down with it atm!!!LOL

Hope everyone else is ok!!!

alkar · 22/01/2010 10:20

Sounds like a mix up sarah - I bet it wasnt your urine that was tested. Happens all the time, blame the MW not the lab though . Glad you're ok though.

DS is 2 in 9 days time, I can't believe it. There must've been a few birthdays by now so happy birthday to anyones LOs that are reading but not posting xx

alkar · 31/01/2010 09:16

My little boy is 2 today. Happy Birthday Daniel xxx

Wnere has everyone gone?!?!?

snowflakesarahandco · 04/02/2010 18:10

hey Alkar, Hope Daniel had a fab 2nd birthday!!!!

Rosie's is on sunday!!!! she is so excited bless her!!!

this thread needs reviving doesn't it

alkar · 05/02/2010 11:10

Hi Sarah, yes a revival is definately needed!

How is Rosie now?

alkar · 05/02/2010 11:11

What are you doing for her birthday? We went to a soft play centre with some other kids but I gues she won't be up to that yet.

snowflakesarahandco · 05/02/2010 12:55

we are off to the safari park i think¬!¬!!! its not far from us anyway and she loves animals, Hopefully it will be good for her,

We have been to soft play a couple of times since she has been in cast but its not really very fair on her as she cant join in as such!!!!LOL

i also am very worried about the little guy making his arrival- feeling ready to pop atm!!! 3 and half weeks to go- very excited, not sure if i have told u already but we are calling him Elliott!!!

any ideas how to lure the others back??

jennycomelately · 05/02/2010 13:52

Hi, coming up to DS4's birthday next week so thought I'd look in and say happy birthday to everyone else's little ones. Have namechanged from Slacker btw, while it may be a fitting nickname for me it was always quite depressing being addressed as such!

Also I'm 11 weeks pregnant with my LAST EVER baby! - number 6 - not feeling terribly enthusiastic about it and have been feeling awful so that doesn't help, but after my scan next week hopefully I'll feel more on board with the idea!

Sarah, sorry to hear that Rosie has had to have a cast, what bad timing with your baby imminent too. You always sound very cheerful though and like you're coping admirably.

DS4 is a gorgeous little boy, says a few odd words now and just enjoys pottering about and joining in with the rest of the family. Am going to make him a car cake for his birthday as his favourite possession is a little 4x4 that makes vroom noises. And DH has promised to take the day off work so we can have a nice family birthday - looking forward to it.

alkar · 05/02/2010 15:25

6!!! Congratulations Jenny (feels weird calling you that!)

Enjoy the safari park Sarah, we have one close to us here and I love going too

Were Harry and Rosie early?

snowflakesarahandco · 05/02/2010 18:34

congrats Jenny!!!! yes its weird!!!! hope your pregnancy goes well and the feeling rotten passes soon, xxx

we are doing ok and i must admit i am very proud with the way we have adjusted to life in a hip spica- its hard going sometimes and not doing much good for my back ouch!!!!! lol- generally just getting on with it though with much help from my mom and sister!!!!

Alkar harry was born at 37+2- very spontaneous waters broke in early hours, had back ache contractions began about 10- hours later he was delived in 1 hr 56 mins!!!!!scary stuff!!!

Rosie was 40+4- again waters broke 10-30pm contractions pretty much straight away- delived at 03-30!!!!!

lets hope for another fab delivery xxxx

strawberrycornetto · 05/02/2010 21:42

Hello all. Happy birthday to Daniel and to Rosie for Sunday.

DS has a couple of weeks to go yet, his birthday is 26 February. Where have the last two years gone?

My exciting news is we have our house on the market and have had an offer accepted on a house in the country. If all goes according to plan, we will move and I will stop work and become a full time mummy. I am excited, happy and terrified all at the same time.

snowflakesarahandco · 06/02/2010 08:40

wow sc---- thats fab hope all goes to plan xxxx hows things?

alkar · 10/02/2010 21:02

All quiet again!!!

How's Rosie doing Sarah?

Took Daniel to get his swine flu jab yesterday, all ok so far he's just been a bit grumbly. I had mine in November and I remember having a sore arm for a couple of days so thats whats probably bothering him.

Hows everyone else?

omy · 11/02/2010 15:43

Wow - amazing news strawb! How wonderful for you - cross fingers and toes all goes well.

I have been absent for AGES but I remember rosie was going to be having an op - how is she doing sarah? xxx

snowflakesarahandco · 11/02/2010 16:02

Rosie is good, she is getting on very well, pulling herself around the house on her arms and generally keeping me busy!!!!

we are back on the 25th for a cast change and then another 6 weeks till its off totally!!!

Good to hear from you omy, how are you guys doing?

omy · 11/02/2010 16:04

Slacker! I mean Jenny! how nice to hear from you - I always knew you were no slacker anyway! Baby no 6 - awesome - lets hope it's a little easy delight.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to all feb 08 babies! (wherever you are!)

Good luck sarah - you must be very close now. My sister is having her 3rd too - a girl - at the same time as you - in the wilds of brazil! I am on line waiting for news every day - she is hoping the baby's not early as the midwife won't arrive in their part of the jungle until the week it is due!!! It will all be up to mum & dad otherwise!

Leila is lots of fun now - though she is having a tanty right now so I'd better stop writing!

omy · 11/02/2010 16:12

Hi sarah - we are doing well - work is easier now leila is bigger and quite happy with her lovely carer. Fridays I have off and really appreciate them!

I am so impressed with rosie coping so well with her reduced mobility. I hope you have some help lined up though - you will need it!

snowflakesarahandco · 11/02/2010 18:35

omy- i am 37+1 atm- baby boy and cannot wait for him to arrive!!!!

Good luck to your sister, hope she manages to wait for the midwife, xxx

Glad to hear Leila is settled well and work/ home life is balancing well for you!!!

any ideas how to get everyone back to catch up? its dead quiet on here lately!!LOL

hows everyone else doing? SC? Alkar? Jenny?

jennycomelately · 13/02/2010 16:06

Lol at you all thinking it's weird to call me a normal name . Well we had Felix's birthday and it was low key but enjoyable, he loved his main present - a mini micro scooter - but his sister has nicked it off him! And then I had my 12 week scan and the baby looks like a healthy little GIRL which I am so pleased about (fingers crossed it doesn't get changed at next scan!). And I'm feeling slightly better so good news all round.

Wow, Omy, does your sister live in Brazil permanently? I hope it all goes well for her, or have you had news by now?

StrawberryC - moving to a village is the easy bit, I've never regretted moving out of London. Especially if you pick a nice village with facilities, not a crappy village like we've landed up in! I'd imagine the change to SAHM is a biggy though, can you keep your hand in and work part time? I guess that would be easier once kids are in school. It all sounds very exciting!

Sarah, how are you doing? Glad you've got some help with Rosie, and that there's an end in sight.

Hi alkar, hope Daniel's feeling better after jab.

Well DH and older boys are going out to a gig now so I'd better drag myself off the sofa and do some parenting, it's so much easier to just let them get on with it but I guess they need some input! Talk soon x

snowflakesarahandco · 19/02/2010 21:56
