No Aubergenie, it's really light. It feels like a strong breeze will blow it away, until my big fatty M is in it! I haven't put her in the pushchair bit yet but it is really easy to push about with just the car seat. If you get second hand you can always jazz it up with a new seat cover. This is very similar to the baby carrier you like......

Marthasmama · 05/05/2009 10:09

Ooops, link didn't work. Try this

Hi all. I just cannot believe how quickly the threads move. I've been off line for almost 2 weeks due to a pesky router problem, 3 call outs to the broadband provider and one day of DH digging around and swearing from time to time and I'm back . Managed to track you down though. Not much changed here but we have managed to get Sander to sleep through for a whole week, hurrah!! Sorry to those who are having probs but I'm so glad of at least 6 hours of uninterruppted sleep. Weaning going okay as Sander will eat anything and will turn into a porker if I give him half a chance. I'm making sure he gets loads of time belting around in his walker and crawling(well rolling!) to work it all off. No hope of using a carrier for Sander as he is already 24lbs and my back would be broken!

CantSleepWontSleep · 05/05/2009 11:26

Welcome back Lozza! You can carry much much more than 24lbs in a carrier!

Sorry you are feeling yuk myjob. Know what you mean about permanent colds though. Ds never seems to be clear, but iirc dd was the same.

I'm reading... jsut little to no time to post! Q falls asleep feeding every time. Then I put him down either in his cot or our bed.
My friend who looks after him while I work strolls him around in the pushchair (in her house) until he falls asleep.

star6 · 05/05/2009 11:37

sorry - that was to answer hmm

aubergenie · 05/05/2009 12:10

Sorry you're feeling yuk, Myjob.

I can totally understand why that design isn't everyone's cup of tea - I think some people would say I have strange tastes in some things! Still it's motivated me to take pictures and get some maternity stuff on Ebay. We are planning to try for another soon (when I'm less knackered), but I've got a few nice bits that will now be too big so I'm getting rid.

Love those Zapp accessories MM!

Welcome back Lozza. of all your lovely sleep!

Marthasmama · 05/05/2009 12:15

OOooooooo exciting! More babies!!! Even with the total lack of sleep I am still so broody. So, who's going to be first Aubergenie or hmm........

M is sleeping on me for the 2nd time today and must have done a sleep poo. She's really stinky!

Myjob - I was thinking, Dear Lord I'm so boring. I will shut up about babies. It is so weird. I was never a baby person. Until I was 25 I wasn't ever going to have kids! I loved shopping, drinking (& smoking faaaaaaaaags ) and eating out too much! Hopr you;re feeling better and your little herberts are letting you get some rest. M has finally cheered up!

afternoon all,
myjob - sorry you're feeling so poorly, hope you get well soon.
jenwa - so sorry about your gran, hope you're ok today.
MM - I love the idea of other people having more babies!
CSWS - hope you're a bit perkier after a tiny bit more sleep.
Both DSs have man flu colds and are whinging for Great Britain.
Managed to dash out this morning while DD asleep, DS2 at pre-school and DS1 at school and paint the bottom of the climbing frame. I have lovely green smudges up my arms and over my glasses that I'll have to pick off later...
I tried to load a photo in between computer crashing - will check to see if it arrived on my profile or disappeared into the ether.

pepperrabbit · 05/05/2009 16:42

oh yes, and Star - I had a friend who used to get in the car and drive her son to sleep
She was knackered for about 4 years.

jenwa · 05/05/2009 17:57

Hello
Am OK, thank you all for asking. And yes HM, have seen her quite afew times recently as sort of been expecting it
Funeral will be 18th May! That is my wedding anniversary! We never did much for our anniversary last year as had the 1 in 20 downs risk so were waiting for results so another miserable one this yr .
Did tell DD about my Gran, she was more concerned that DD2 had weetabix coming out her mouth then asked "who died her", I said she had died by herself, I think she though someone had killed her!

I dont like fish either...yuk, only cod or fish fingers

HM Sorry you had a meltdown, it does happen so dont worry, you are perfectly normal Its nice DH had P whilst you had a sleep, makes you feel so refreshed.

DD2 not so cuddly. She likes to fall asleep in her bed, wont sleep for long in her car seat or pushchair so bed is the best. She likes to be flat and tilt her head right back and is very bendy!!! She cant do that when cuddled up too!

myjob I wish I was 25

Right, something funny just happened although DH would not say so! He was poorly last night and been sick so been in bed all day, anyway, he just woke up as he felt wet and he has had the squits in bed in his sleep [yuk]!!!! Off to wash the bedding now! Thinking I may not sleep in the same bed tonight!!!!!

DD2 now crying so better go, she pooed too....poo city here!!!

Jenwa - I told you dd1 would surprise you. They're so matter of fact about these things when they're little. And, for DH, poor bloke. I know mine would have been mortified and I would be sleeping elsewhere. I wouldn't fancy waking up next Mr Poo Pants.

Pepper - I am SO lucky that my ds is a big girl so never moans about being ill.

I'm having an early one tonight, I really need to!

Marthasmama · 05/05/2009 20:06

I'm watching Gok. It's making me want to go shopping, but not for the high street stuff. Back when I was young free and single I used to get designer stuff on occasion. It was so much fun. I loved Ghost back in the day. I used to spend a fortune in there. Now I have kids to spend money on and they're so much more beautiful than me. Plus Ghost have gone way down hill since Tanya left.

Marthasmama · 05/05/2009 20:19

Oh that's an early night for N isn't it. Mmm cup of tea, you could have made me one

Marthasmama · 05/05/2009 20:19
