thanks all he is on gaviscon but not antibiotics. He has a cold and glands are up in his neck but no temperature. OK so I will try and get him to take some extra water from a cup then as I am breast feeding him.

Cocodrillo · 04/05/2009 19:56

lovely pics on FB, LBB

swampster · 04/05/2009 20:01

Just keep him permanently attached to your norks, lardy.

katieblirdsnest · 04/05/2009 20:16

Lardy hope he's ok again soon.

talking of poo's...ivor hardly ever does, he's quite clockwork and literally only goes every third day. when he was smaller it seemed to give him some pain but doesn't seem to bother him now. he's bf so i don't think it's anything to worry about.

i've had such a lovely weekend. went to the wallace and gromit exhibition at the science museum which dd loved (and so did i!). if you've got older kids it's definitely worth a trip.

ivor has really settled into a good sleep pattern now, 7pm to 7.30am with one wake up for a feed at about 4.30am so i'm feeling much more human again.

Helloooo everyone.
Just got back from my trip to see my Uni mate in Devon....Picked up DS en route home from his little holiday to his grandma and granddad - he is full of it but absolutely knackered so it was a v.peaceful journey home. DD has been napping on and off today but spent most of the journey bar half an hour awake - traffic on A303 back from w.country was awful and I had to stop once to feed her and do nappy stuff- she's now completely overtired and struggling to go to sleep - poor thing doesn't know if she's coming or going but she was really good.

I'll catch up with the posts tomorrow but hope everyone's ok....
That was an uneventful post wasn't it

littleboyblue · 05/05/2009 07:48

thom Sorry, just I never think about having a drink until someone mentions it, then I'm all !
coco Thank you
lardy How's ds today?

dinkystinky · 05/05/2009 08:03

Katieblirdsnest - Sounds like you had a lovely bank holiday weekend. DS1 is 3 and a total Wallace & Grommit fan; was wondering about taking him to that exhibition. Do you think he'd enjoy it or is it abit too old for him?

Coco - hope dd2 is better. Both my boys have bad colds again (DS1 is really poorly with his - his cough sounds like a 70 year old smokers! Definitely going to get his chest checked out at the GP's today).

I have a bloody UTI!!!!!!! Arrggghhhhhhhhh.

katieblirdsnest · 05/05/2009 08:22

Dinky there will definitely be bits he'll enjoy...tv's with w&g on, things to draw on, plasticine, levers to pull etc. and a tunnel slide that he can sit on your lap if he's not confident enough to go on his own. then try and get him off it again if he's anything like dd! we pre-booked tickets on the day, but there was no queue for either buying or picking up tickets and that was on a BH monday.

katieblirdsnest · 05/05/2009 08:28

not sure if i previously mentioned the weight charts that are used in the uk. my sister who is a biochemist and works for unicef in thailand is always annoyed when i tell her about the charts and comments that have been made by the hv's. on the uk ones ivor's weight have jumped up centiles but our charts don't take account of bf babies who normally put on more than ff at the beginning. when she entered ivor's various weights onto the World Health Organisation charts for bf babies he stayed on exactly the same centile (86th). i now hear that the nhs have now realised it's a problem and are about to transfer on to the who system ie. one chart for bf and one chart for ff...good news but amazing that it's taken so long!

dinkystinky · 05/05/2009 08:34

Cheers Katieblirdsnest - will check it out next weekend assuming the boys are better for then.

Herb - glad you had a nice weekend. The A303 is always a pain - think it must be the stonehenge druid influence on it!

LBB - sorry to hear you have another UTI! How many is that in the last 12 months???

New thread up and running [[http://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/postnatal_clubs/750251-Fab-Feb-2009-baby-coos-stinky-poos-three-months -on?rnd=1241508485193]

Hey - its only taken me a year to figure out to do links!!

P.s. Swampster - Carmeniere is DH's favourite wine and everytime he drinks it he ALWAYS trots out the story about how it was a dead grape, made extinct in Europe due to Filoxera and then, in the 80s in the USA, when the whole of the US was going crazy for Merlot, they started importing Merlot grapes from Chile by the boatload at extortionate prices. A grad student went to Chile as part of his phd studies and noted that the acres and acres of "Merlot" grapes werent Merlot at all - and after further investigation discovered they were Carmeniere and that Chile was the only place on the planet it had survived on. Needless to say I have heard this story ALOT...
