Well they kept sending me letters about a smear when I was pregnant so as I was overdue one the GP booked me in at my 8 week check.

I did have a period yes but it seemed to last a day and then went away again. Very odd.

F has been fine since, just really freaked us out. He was fast asleep in my arms when I noticed he was taking 3 breaths, then nothing for 7-8 seconds (which felt like an hr!) and then another 3. DH took his pulse and rang my dad (paramedic) who said he would expect a pulse of no less than 130 in a baby of his age so we were a bit

I'm glad I noticed!

PinkTulips · 01/05/2009 17:58

88 is shockingly low for a baby of his age. although form doing first aid training i know it's very hard to get an accurate pulse on a baby just using fingers as the beats run into each other alot and you can lose count easily so maybe it wasn't as low as that really? poor little guy either way

hope the withdrawal from the bp meds isn't too weird for you

(btw, you are sure it was a period? only when i had bleeding fro a day after dd and though t it was my period and it disappeared it later turned out i was actually preg and that was the implantation bleed)

MarkStretch · 01/05/2009 18:47

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH PT don't say that!

DH listened with his stethoscope

PinkTulips · 01/05/2009 19:14

oh, well so much for me trying to be reassuring then poor frankie

happened to my cousins wife, she didn't realise til her dd1 was 4 months and she started puking at the smell of flowers.... she was 2 months gone!

littleboyblue · 01/05/2009 20:02

Calico Oh!!!! Did you not know dh was planning to hand his notice in? Better get back on the phone to the child tax credit office and tell them staright away, also get down to the job centre, find out exactly what it is you're entitled to while you're both out of work. Are you on mat leave or unemployed? If unemployed, you could apply for income support. Also regardless of your situ, your dh will obviously sign on for job seekers (?), and because of a drop in household income, I'd also look into council tax benefits and help with the rent on home unless it's owned...........
MS lol on the missing cervix! Glad I didn't go now then......
Hope Frankie's ok now, sounds quite scary. Hope you're ok too being off meds.

lardybump · 01/05/2009 21:30

Evening all... so MS you could be up the duff again..... Wow that was quick

DS and I had our six week check today (yes he will be 10 weeks tomorrow.... ) and all ok but keeping an eye on DS's reflux. He also said that his glands are up which indicates he has a cold (DS has been snuffly since birth so I didn't notice) which could be why sickness has got worse... He also is getting bunged up with the gaviscon so we will have to use lactulose in future... nice...

MarkStretch · 01/05/2009 21:50

AAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH stop saying it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

PinkTulips · 01/05/2009 21:53

i have 2 HPTs left over from last year, want me to post them to you?

lardybump · 01/05/2009 21:54

I also had a bleed for a day a while back, there was no way I could have been pregnant so called HV who explained that it could be that I had over done it that day and the bleeding was due to that... Either way you need to rest a bit more MS!!1

PinkTulips · 01/05/2009 21:59

pmsl

lardybump · 01/05/2009 22:01

lardybump · 01/05/2009 22:08

MarkStretch · 01/05/2009 23:04

Again- AAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!

littleboyblue · 01/05/2009 23:35

My aunt had 2 babies in 11 months. Planned. Crazy!

I've just killed the biggest spider. I'm shaking! It's spread up the wall

littleboyblue · 02/05/2009 07:00

Morning. Been up for 2 hours and still not dressed! Luke is asleep again and ds1 is having breakfast. Think I might pop over to my mum's or I might go and see some friends in Putney today.

MarkStretch · 02/05/2009 07:33

Morning

We are going to a wedding today. I love weddings. DD is going to Grandpa's for a sleepover and DS is coming with us. DH and I still arguing over who's driving.

It's a gorgeous day here, hope you all have a lovely day!

(Took F's pulse last night when he was sleeping and it was 136- yay!)

thehouseofmirth · 02/05/2009 08:14

LBB getting up before 6am sucks. I do find the earlier we get up the more slobby we are and the longer we stay in our pjs. We are currently watching Toy Story in ours...

Ooh enjoy the wedding MS. I'll have to wait for some more of my friends to get divorced before I get any more weddings to go to!

littleboyblue · 02/05/2009 08:22

MS Have a lovely day at the wedding.
thom I know!! Nearly ready now though. Well I've showered at least! But have also done a bit of housework.

PolkSaladLucie · 02/05/2009 08:29

Enjoy the wedding MS - with your matching pram ! Good news about F's pulse last night. Shouldn't you drive? As you won't be drinking anyway ! I was just thinking the other day who was going to be first to get pregnant again...

lbb have a nice day today, whatever you decide to do.

THOM - I agree; when John does the morning feed I get up at a reasonable time and we get dressed and sorted and out the house fine. When I get up for the feed, I stay in my pj's for ever! A bit jealous of Toy Story - I'm looking forward to cuddling up with M for a duvet day.

Calico - hope things get sorted asap, and your DH has a plan in mind...

We've got a busy weekend ahead of us. M and I are taking my Gran to the church's coffee morning, and then my mum and sister are coming round, and tonight we're going round to John's parents. Tomorrow after church M's godmother is coming round, so I might be able to have a cuddle with my daughter at about 7:30 tomorrow evening!

littleboyblue · 02/05/2009 08:37

Does sound like a busy w/e PSL Enjoy.

Gosh, getting pregnant again? Never!!!!!

elkiedee · 02/05/2009 12:12

Eek, I thought 2 in 21 months was crazy enough.

I've been awake since 6, out of bed since soon after 8 (was feeding and reading in bed before that) and am still in my nightie, though planning to have a bath and get dressed quite soon, milk monster permitting. He's long overdue for a nappy change as well.

Cocodrillo · 02/05/2009 12:24

Hello! Has anyone noticed I've not been around? Had no internet for six weeks, but finally back online. Have some catching up to do... Have saved loads of money though, didn't realise how much absent-minded internet shopping I do. Hope all the babas and mamas are happy and healthy.

mumoverseas · 02/05/2009 13:28

afternoon all,
MS, sorry to read about your two scares, at least I hope the 2nd one is a scare Have a fab time at the wedding and make sure your new buggy is in the photos

PSL enjoy your weekend and make the most of everyone else cuddling M to have a rest.
I feel really guilty that none of mine or DH's family have seen H yet

calico, hope all ok there and your DH has a plan

coco, welcome back, you were missed as are all the others who have vanished!

I finally re-started my studies last night (well just had a quick read through re-fresh before the nanny is in tomorrow when I can do some proper studying)

dinkystinky · 02/05/2009 13:50

Welcome back Cocodrillo - hope all is well with you.

MS - have a lovely day at the wedding today. PMSL at the chat about you and minimarkstretchno2!

PSL - sounds like you have a hectic weekend ahead of you. Hope you get some down time too.

Lardy - wow, a 6 week check at 10 weeks! Hope his cold clears up soon and that the gaviscon/lactulose combination isnt too explosive (literally)!

LBB - Danny normally decides sometime around 5ish is a good time to start the day (though today slept until 4.50 and then after a feed snoozed till 7.30 - am in shock still) and I agree its so hard to motivate yourself when your day starts that early - particularly as I'm rubbish at getting to bed before 10.30 and rubbish at sleeping during the day. Hope you get a rest period today.

THOM - Toy story, a classic! Have yet to get DS1 to sit down to watch it - he loves Monsters Inc though so hopefully will enjoy Toy Story too

We've got DS1's birthday party at a soft play area this afternoon - so have been making sandwiches to feed the 5,000 and DH has been baking cakes. Sadly DS1 has a monster cold so didnt sleep last night so we've put him down for a nap now in the hope he'll not go into meltdown at his party. Now counting the hours until Danny catches this lurgy...
