They are out of the UEFA, but they won the match. The atmosphere was great. IT WAS FUN!

Good God! I can't believe I'm saying this.

LittleMissNorty · 18/04/2009 17:16

I saw some of it - and it was quite good . did look for you

Went to buy DS a infant kit but they haven't got any on their website any more!

Ohforfoxsake · 18/04/2009 17:21

Aw, wish I knew, could've picked you one up in the sale.

I love my baby, I really, really do but

she is driving me fucking insane.

If she's not being my clingy shadow, she's hitting and clawing at me, whinging and being miserable. Sitting down one to one and reading is acceptable it seems. She is currently in her high chair as I am getting mad at her for not eating her dinner.

Foxy's top tip of the day:

Don't leave basket over-flowing with clean washing and white linen on top anywhere near toddlers chucking range when they are not eating pasta in tomato and basil sauce for tea.

AAAAARRRRRRRRRRRSE.

I am going to bathe her now and put her to bed.

Ohforfoxsake · 18/04/2009 17:23

(That's bed-linen, incase you get the wrong idea about me and think I have actual expensive linen things like napkins or trousers. I don't)

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 18/04/2009 17:33

lol foxy. My Dad watched the footie on TV, I think DS1 has renounced his "passion" for city and gone back to being obscure

did you go away with no children?

am making sausage risotto - it looks as grim as it usually does! hope there's something nice in the yellow ticket section of the co-op for me and DH (he is apparently coming home tonight) baggins is still asleep on the sofa - bad plan.

another hint for foxy's tip of the day - don't leave a nice clean pile of ironed clothes on the kitchen table when baggins is in his highchair and DS2 has put his unfinshed lemonade down within his reach.

Sputnik · 18/04/2009 17:50

Thanks Foxy
Glad you had a good trip.

TheNatty · 18/04/2009 19:15

nattys tips for the day..
dont leave a brand new pair of red gloves on the side, load the washing machine and walk away to answer the door before coming back and putting it on.. without checking that DD hasnt put the gloves in the wash

arse

was all my aplix nappies too, so they all have pink velcro now

TheNatty · 18/04/2009 20:54

where are you all

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 18/04/2009 21:24

I'm just off to put the kids to bed (baggnis didn't wake up for tea until nearly 7 o'clock)

LackaDAISYcal · 18/04/2009 21:36

we have just been watching an owl t'wit t'wooing down our neighbour's chimney pot.....we think it was listening for the echo; silly beast. great that we get wildlife in the city.....but we are rather .....all we get is pigeons on our chimney!

had a lovely day today just me and the bumble. We were at a trade fair thing where I was manning the BFing stand. It was really nice just chatting to people and cuddling my bub without screaming and fighting and angst and trouble in the background.

DS1 is a maestro on his bike now though and was out cycling with his grandad today.

does anyone know what a back person who will sort my pregnant spine out is called and how to find one locally

LackaDAISYcal · 18/04/2009 22:37

you want either an osteopath or a chiropracter natty. Try here

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 18/04/2009 22:46

of your lovely day daisy. I am maxed out on kids today and feelinng really down and teary, and about to crack

just got down from getting baggins to sleep - he was fighting all the way. He is now downstairs again.

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 19/04/2009 00:11

baggins is still going strong.

fortunately DH came home with wine (but no chocolate) so I aren't running away for the time being.

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 19/04/2009 01:14

I gave birth to the duracel bunny. and DH (being a man) is encouraging him by watching True Lies, baggins is shouting encouragement to Arnie

can someone pass me the Greggs bag and a 4 pack of froot shoots

I so hope (in a purely selfish way) that I will not be here til after luch tomorrow. If he/they get up at 6am again I think I will run away...

TheNatty · 19/04/2009 09:49

aww ria!
pmsl@duracel bunny tho

what timme did he get up in the end then?

LittleMissNorty · 19/04/2009 11:18

Hope you got a lie-in Ria....

We however, were up at 6.30am to go to a boot fair to check it out for when I sell all my baby gear in the summer.....only to find at 9am there were only half a dozen pitches and not many more visitors....so went to another boot fair and picked up one of these for a fiver

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/04/2009 11:41

Good bargain there Norty Jamlet loves those. We don't have one at home but it's the first thing she goes for when we go into the garden at the children's centre.

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 19/04/2009 12:51

12.15 now I know what you all mean when you say you feel like a new woman (neither of us were asleep all that time, baggins was pretty unsettled really, but he kept dropping off again. I love a sleeping baby)

it did mean we missed our planned trip to the boot sale though, but it sounds like DH only has another week before his close-down for refurb, so we might get a couple on before he's back at work properly.
Good bargain Norty.

Have a great day everyone.

Bumperlicioso · 19/04/2009 13:21

Hello,

What a bargain Norty!

Glad you had a relaxing morning Ria.

I've been v industrious so far. Was going to go swimming with my friend and her LO at about 9-9.30, but I didn't set an alarm and DD didn't wake me until 8.30 but . So we rushed around, got to the pool at 9.20, played for about an hour, came home, put DD to bed, made packed lunches, put tea in the slow cooker, put the washing out and am just waiting for DD to wake up so we can join DH at the allotment!

Hope you are all enjoying the weather

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 19/04/2009 14:47

that sounds lovely bumper what are you having? I need to be more adventurous with my slow-cooking. we've been in the garden, but the little girl from down the road is here and she won't stop talking!

LittleMissNorty · 19/04/2009 16:29

oh god I think I've got a virus....my ears hurt (thought it was the wind this morning), my throat hurts (thought it was cos I slept with my gob open) andI'm freezing with a jumper and T-shirt on - but it seems I am the only one that's cold . Feel like shite.

DD had her nap in mummy's bed with mummy .....from 1.10pm till 3.45pm .....said to DH..."didn't you think to wake us?"....og but you looked so peacful.....right oh matey, you can put DD to bed at 7pm then!!!

Well done on the lie-in Ria.....was all done and tidy and organised when you came downstairs?

LittleMissNorty · 19/04/2009 16:31

oh my skin hurts as well.......sorry for moaning!

How old are DCs when they can make you a cup of tea?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 19/04/2009 18:09

that you're not feeling well Norty

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 19/04/2009 18:23

norty, hope you feel better soon.
