thank you daisy. you know me, can't stay away long (although I did stay away last night after DH did the fixing, just to prove I'm not an addict! and have been trying to not be on today when the kids might notice)

Not sure if I'm a fan of the fairy-whittington (as DF calls him) myself. I think DH likes him. he is inspiring, but a bit for me (food philistine that I am).

I am off to read a novel (DS1 has ordered three men in a boat from the library for me, but Katie Ffrode will do for, having exhausted the Maeve Binchys that might still surprise me!). DH has a massive walk planned for us tomrrow, so if it's sunny I might not be here for a while (I'm sure I've had sciatica twinges).

My DCs were both up at 5:30 am this morning. Typical as I went out for PTA curry night last night and didn't get to bed until midnight. Dh is also away so the pain is all mine. Thank goodness for Playhouse Disney and chocolate cake (for me, eaten sneakily in the kitchen - for energy )

morning fairy up too early here too, but about 6.30 I think. No chocolate cake in the house (I am only on-line so early to rejoin freecycle - I need a microwave and still can't find the receipt for the broken one)

I can't get my dratted email to work. I really don't like technology that much.

It rained in the night and DH is in bed so I don't know if we're out or not today.

Right, my DH and DD are both still asleep.....going to rectify that situation.....some of us have been up at 2.30am and 6.30am!

oh arse natty. If it's any consolation they can't "live" on humans and will die once they have bitten you.....

get yourself off to pets at home; you can get these things called flea bombs that you set off in each room and they fumigate the whole room. you need to do it then clear out with the dc for the day thbough.......and keep the receipt and send it to your landlord for compensation.

I have a tmi moment this morning. One of my puncture wounds has been a bit infected, raised, red skin around it and pretty sore, but the redness didn't get any bigger and looked like it was getting smaller. This morning, the wound itself looked very raised and a bit of the skin had come off the top....so i had a poke at it and all this greeny orangey pus oozed out . not sure whether to get to the docs or whether this is it "coming to a head" so to speak and will get better on it's own.

Glad you got your Duplo daisy and fairy. I got the Polar Zoo one. Dd and ds have been arguing over it all morning. Dd wants to build it properly, like the picture on the box, and ds just wants to put the bricks together and take them apart. Luckily ds has just fallen asleep, so hopefully by the time he wakes up dd will have got bored of it and he will have a chance to play! It's all fun and games here !

Are you still about? I have a couple of Qs re NCT sale. Can I sell stuff that still has the tags on? or do I havee to remove them as you aren't supposed to sell new stuff? And can i put BNWOT on the description if i have to remove them?

is duplo like giant lego or is it the rounded one? we have the big rounded set out atm and baggins isn't interested. I was wondering about getting the giant lego stuff out for a bit (my friend gave me both lots when her boys got too big, our house is like a fecking toy shop)

we are just back from a 6.5 mile trek here partly done in sleet storms and gale force winds! (the sunny dry spells were lovely) I was wet throught to my pants, all bathed and dry now, I will have to start tidying up picnic things and wet boots/waterproofs and make a curry for tea.

I know that the NCT sales round here all accept new items, I put a couple in last week's one with no probs. I was reading the ts & cs of one in another area and they won't take new things, so I think it is down to your local NCT, they all have different rules. I've got another sale tomorrow (the 2nd of 4)!! Luckily there are loads of branches round here, so loads of sales to help me empty my loft!

We're all full of the cold here, snotty noses all round. DD's nose started running whilst she was eating lunch. She picked a bit of cabbage out of her soup & wiped her nose on it. Bleurgh! She is a minger very resourceful
