He eventually fell asleep. I've just been in to wake him up, as he's a nightmare to get to be if he sleeps much after 3pm. He's taken off his trousers and thrown them out of the bed, along with most of the contents of his cot. He's also managed to reach out and turn on the light. He's obviously tried to take off his nappy and given up as he was fast asleep face down with his naked bum in the air. I have of course taken a photo for future embarrassment purposes. Am I a mean Mum?

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 15:31

Thanks for the advice Fury, I think laving him is the only way. I can;t stand the thought of no more naps

HellHathNoFury · 17/04/2009 15:47

LOL!

Yes DS is very much the same, we peer through the keyhole and see all sorts of bizarre goings on, usually his toys are all piled up on his face, he has both legs in one trouser hole and is wearing his socks on his hands.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2009 15:56

Thanks Fairy

Can I say that I love my DH very much? My treat he has promised me has now been booked! On May 10th I am going here and having a thai ritual And I get to stay over at my brother's that night and do whatever I want on the Monday!!

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 16:19

Ooooooo Jammy, you'll love it there. It is so nice.

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 17/04/2009 16:21

jammy. do you want to lend him out?

vaRIAtyisthespiceoflife · 17/04/2009 16:25

oh my word, Nature Chris has gone all leather jacket and tight black trousers...

Sputnik · 17/04/2009 17:05

Re naps, even if they don't sleep it's good to have some time out anyway.

Jammy that sounds lovely, I like the sound of herbal steamed dumplings. And well done on not fitting your skirt too. I am plunging back into the diet too, you are a great inspiration!

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 17:40

I went out to the car earlier and realised i have a flat - as in pancake flat - tyre. My lovely Dad came and took it off and took it to the tyre shop for me. It looks like we've been driving on a slow puncture so have buggered the actual wheel and need a whole new wheel, not just a tyre. I coul kick myself as the last time I drove it, I found the steering a bit hard, but I thought it was a problem with the power steering, and didn't worry as it's going for a service in a couple of weeks. Am cringing while I wait for Dad to come back and tell me how much the new wheel is costing. Bah

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 18:01

Dad's just been. £120. Obviously not great but thankfully not as bad as I feared.

TheNatty · 17/04/2009 18:12

ouch! dear me thats not what u want to hear for a slow puncture.

the bank took 30 pound off me in fines today, so ive got no money now till thursday, arse!
so looks like im not going out to the MN meetup this week, or anything else i had planned
great when its easter and nothing is on locally for free...

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 18:17

DH works for the same company as me, but his boss is nicer and grants special leave.
My boss is an arse.

On the plus side.... my hotel chocolate tasting box arrived, so my life isn't completely awful

TheNatty · 17/04/2009 19:58

must be horrid having to work when DC sick and ur not getting much sleep.

im bored

FrazzledFairyFay · 17/04/2009 20:00

I love those boxes Fury, enjoy .......

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2009 20:03

LOL at "poor Jammy"

Sorry about your car Fairy, and your cancelled plans Natty DH is a bit because our car failed its MOT today. But he cheered up a bit when he found that £250 - £300 will fix it instead of the £800 he initially thought

DH has ordered some reduced easter stuff from Hotel Chocolat. I might get to have a nibble

TheNatty · 17/04/2009 20:17

mmm yummy jammy

HellHathNoFury · 17/04/2009 20:23

I threatened to quit today. VERY LOUDLY.
My boss thinks I am a troublemaker.

No, not a troublemaker, just have a 2 year old and sadly when nursery closes their doors, I can't just leave him to it.

Oh yes, and I have a fucked pelvis, and yes I do need special treatment.

And yes, I am pregnant, and get leave that you don't.

Sorry!

Cocksucker

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2009 20:31

Fury

Fuck, I was holding Jamlet earlier (because she was being a right whingey/shrieky little so-and-so and wouldn't be put down or go to Daddy) and a muscle at the top of my inner thigh went "ping". Didn't feel too bad at the time but now I can hardly walk! So much for having a nice 2 mile walk along the river with DH and Jamlet tomorrow

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 17/04/2009 20:32

And I doubt I'll be going to the gym either
