LackaDAISYcal · 30/03/2009 13:18

ouch at the impetigo....that's horribly contagious isn't it? be careful with own towel and flannel etc till it's gone.

It's great that DD is sleeping in a bed...but getting her to stay put initially is a right royal PITA

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 30/03/2009 13:37

I have to say I'm in no rush to get DD into a bed - I really don't want her wandering around - especially into my room! She's alrady gone into the nursery over the weekend and poked DS awake through the bars!

Poor DS Fairy.....can he not have cream to clear it up?

Talking of which....Daisy...I meant to say that I don't think we've had fungal infections with DD....sorry for being thick, but how do you know she's got one? My DD doesn't like it when I wipe "down the middle" so to speak....but poo gets everywhere! I don't pull her about at all, just wipes and a bath 3-4 times a week. Also, I've just cleaned DS after a huge poo....when I moved his willy around to clean, the very base of it looked quite red in the creases....is this ok? normal? He doesn't seem to be in any pain.

LackaDAISYcal · 30/03/2009 13:53

aargh, she has pulled every drawer out and strewn it round the room and then pulled the front off one of the drawers. I have put her back in the cot and she is not a happy bunny.

I've had to rearrange the room so she can't get at the drawers from the cot, or the blind from the cot and now you trip over the chair going in the room. I was hoping to be able to have her and bumble share in the hope that he'll wake less, but that doesn't look likely. I can't move her in with DS1 either as there is just too many irresitable toys in there for her.

Norty, she gets decidedly whiffy and has had a discharge before.

Just keep an eye on DS; bumbles penis is a lot wrinklier than DS1s and he can get quite red around the base and underneath. I have to make sure I dry him with a soft flannel after wiping him and usually use a wee drop of barrier cream.

great - thanks. If I asked DH I'd just get some sarcastic remark .

Typical, he's just gone to sleep 30 minutes before he's due a feed

DD would wreck her room given half a chance - so she doesn't get one!

Ahh my scotland rugby shirts have just turned up for DS.....they're so sweet!

HellHathNoFury · 30/03/2009 14:22

A snippet of my day.

I just read that Billy Redden (Duelling Banjo Kid) actually couldn't play, and someone knelt behind him and put their arms through his and played, so it looked like he was playing.

I think if they knew how little work I did sometimes I'd be fired.

trace2 · 30/03/2009 14:25

hello all hope your all ok?

Riallytoofattoflounce · 30/03/2009 15:22

hi trace, how's things with you?

I am annoyed with DH (again). He is now having a bath, after about 10 minutes "gardening" (during which I had to supervise the kids playing in the garden. I haven't done anything I wanted/needed to do today). And I took a chunk out of my hand cutting DS2s hair

TheNatty · 30/03/2009 18:47

omg ive had a shit afternoon.

thomas decided to pull his trousers and pants down a pee EVERY WHERE at the park, so he went home in the pushchair with a blanket over him and no clothes on, and poo ellen had to do the 30min walk home i had to keep stopping and carrying her for a bit until my back gave out and she HAD to walk again.
by the time we got to our road she was crying "im tired mummy, please pushchair plesae!" with real tears, and i was in tears cos i hate to see her so upset.

ive now put thomas to bed with just weetabix because i am just so angry with him that i dont want to be snappy shouty angry mummy.

my temper is so short and i keep crying atm, bloody hormones. micheal needs to hurry up and finish work next week so i can catch my breathe.

and im not going out till then. i cant cope anymore with a bump this big. grrr

Riallytoofattoflounce · 30/03/2009 22:21

natty. some days are just sent to try us. and these Juney babies we all used to have are bloody heavy. hope you feel a bit better now.

I have just finished bleaching the living daylights out of the bathroom (well, not the mould on the ceiling, or the tile grouting, but most other bits), looks like I'll be going back to manic housework after they all go to sleep, like I used to when DS1 was little. DH thinks I have it easy. Pah. And I have washed my hands with the royal jelly stuff I got for xmas, and put hand cream on because DS2 told me yesterday I had hands like Daddys! (If I'm going to have grafters hands I want them like my Dads - real graft not fluffy cheffing!!!) It's taken the bleach smell off anyway. Now please tell me bleach fumes aren't harmful to sleeping children?

where are you all tonight?

LackaDAISYcal · 30/03/2009 22:34

Oh natty. poor you

Maybe carrying a change is in order, in case he repeats it. Do you think that he might be struggling with the concept of the new baby? It's difficult for most children, but with his SN?

ria, i think only if they are inhaling the fumes directly.

can you come and do my bathroom too please?

I am sleeping on the sofa tonight as an experiment to see whether bumble is waking to feed because he knows I'm there. We are contemplating putting him in beside DD but want to make sure he isn't going to wake her up. fingers crossed for a few hours undisturbed sleep as we are waking every hour and a half to two hours at the minute

OMG we got the claim stuff from BUPA....my op cost £2100 with an extra £950 for the consultant and £500 for the anaesthetist

OP posts:
Riallytoofattoflounce · 30/03/2009 23:00

I have been up and opened the bathroom window (don't know why I didn' think of that, and as a bonus it will annoy DH) I'll do yours when mine stays clean daisy!

DH got sent a reminder for his BUPA op, the first one I think - [shocok], was very relieved we didn't have to pay it. I believe its about £35 for a urine test?

Riallytoofattoflounce · 31/03/2009 10:51

morning all.

DH is a bit narked with me this morning. I got up with the kids and did breakfast, clothes lunch etc, then when he got back from the school run (which he gets up for about 5 mins before) I announced - just like he does - that I was going back to bed. Unfortuntely I only half-dozed and had a bizarre and unsettling dream that he was cooking lunch for DM&F but hadn't tidied the house. So I haven't gained anything but hopefully made a point

baggins still won't eat anything except apple.

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 11:51

good for you ria , but pooor baggins I hope he's betetr soon.

I am in a bad way this morning. I have a poorly DS1 off school, and bumble to look after (DD off withthe PIL...I take it all back ), but feel very ill indeed . I called the docs as my wound is still really infected and my MIL was worried about it and whether it's causing my symptoms; sick, fluey, temp, cold sweats, diahorrea. Anyhoo they wanted me to go in, but I'm too sick to drive. She thinks the fever etc are to do with the cold I've got rather than anything more sinister (although how she can tell after a 90s phone consultation I don't know ). But she is leaving me a prescription for ABs at reception but I can't get out to collect it

good job I'm not actually dying.

I'm off to crawl under the duvet and feel like I'm dying insteas.

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 31/03/2009 12:36

Daisy. I hope you feel better soon. Could your PILs go and get ABs for you?

Ria, well done. Sometimes I think positive action is needed. I hope the message gets through.

My parents are back today, after 6 1/2 weeks. Hooray . We're going round to see them in a bit. Bad news though is that the airline have lost 2 out of 3 of their bags, while they were in transit. They have no record of them at all . Fingers crossed they get them back soon, or at all.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 31/03/2009 12:46

hooray fairy - where did they go? It's a bugger about the bags, DM&F had there's sent to Dubai instead of NZ on the trip before last.

OK, DH washed the pots and cut the grass. Now he's going to play on the Wii and then have a bath, then he's off to the jobcentre to declare his hours and explain why he hasn't got a proper job yet, then straight to work until tomorrow night (probably) and try and sort out his missing wages. I aren't even attempting any hopusework til the kids are all in bed.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 31/03/2009 12:47

daisy. It all sounds nasty, whatever is causing it. Hope you and DS feel better soon.

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 13:44

I've had a snooze on the saof and feel worse

jaunita from ny Nov thread lives about five streets away from me and she said she'd pick up my prescription when she is at baby clininc this afternoon....dontcha just love MN PILs out and about so incimmunicaod. /they have a mobile but never have it switched on!

Dh called; he is going to get finished earleir than anticiapeted so as he told work he's be out all day he is going to come home and work from home when he is done

sorry crap spellng.

OP posts:
LittleMissNorty · 31/03/2009 16:16

Blimey Daisy....sounds horrible....hope everyone has turned up and you're being looked after. What is it with people who have mobiles but don't leave them turned on?

Where have your parents been Fairy? 6 weeks holiday ....just a day away from this lot would be nice!!

Just got back from osteopath...costing a bloody fortune....I've been 4 times now and at £35 a go, its getting expensive...and I've probably got another 6-8 sessions!

Good for you Ria about going back to bed! Did he say anything? Hope Baggins gets better soon.

Right, spose I better do something!

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 16:47

I hope your parents' bags turn up fairy.

gah DD is having a major paddy, because Dh brought her in from the garden and her beloved ping ping (swing). she has been screaming for nearly ten minutes

I'm waiting on the doc calling me back. Not happy about taking ABs unneccesarily, but equally want to make sure that there is nothing more serious going on.

OP posts:
FrazzledFairyFay · 31/03/2009 17:05

You sound in a bad way Daisy - any chance of getting to GP tomorrow?

My parents have been in Oz, Nz and Tahiti . They primarlily went to see my sis who lives in brisbane. The trip sounds fab but I think they found it too long to be away.

LittleMissNorty · 31/03/2009 17:08

what are you worried about Daisy? Have you been googling? (is that a word??!)

Riallytoofattoflounce · 31/03/2009 17:18

am I right in thinking the age limit has changed for tixylix again?

baggins has tantrums about coming inside too daisy, it is a PITA.

I think my parents found their trip tiring this time too fairy. Apparently DM said to UK Dsis (after a boozy lunch) that she doesn't think she'll go again

OK, tea nearly ready. Back later I hope.

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 18:05

norty.....I have. My symptoms are either flu or blood poisoning

Actually just back from the docs and he says it could be either (or at least the sart of a bad infection), but he didn't like the look of my wound and gave me a telling off for not going in sooner with it . If it doesn't improve within 48 hours on the ABs then I have to get back to them ASAP. If it does get better, either the ABs are working, or the viral whatever has passed.

OP posts:
LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 18:14

We got sky+ today.

DS1 is amazed by the fact we can pause it and keeps doing so because he can. the novelty will soon wear off I'm sure.

OP posts:
TheNatty · 31/03/2009 20:04

sorry to hear you have been poorly daisy, hope you feel better soon x
