Hi Sputnik....whatever happened with the new house? Did it all go through?

Check they're clean, that should be. Though they are also pretty lean.

All the talk of scales yesterday helped me pluck up the courage to weigh myself this morning. I knew I'd put on weight but I am now 5kg more than at the end of last summer, I nearly cried. I have been eating loads out of stress from house buying and illness, mine and DCs. So that's it, I am going to whip my body into submission, no more excuses and am up for reviving the fit thread.

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 16:51

Ha, Daisy, well basically we were on the verge of handing over our deposit when the banks got together and announced they were really tightening up on giving mortgages. So although we'd had verbal assurance we'd get one we needed actual approval so have had to wait ages for it. We now have it and are handing over the deposit on monday.
So that is one less worry. Just the stress of actually moving now.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 16:56

Good news on the house ....maybe the stress of the move will help with the weight loss

although stress makes me comfort eat....

I'm going to get fit this year for sure. I'm going to start swimming again after the easter hols and am aiming for a long walk every day, weather permitting. I've got to get my pelvis issues sorted though and then I can start jogging again.

you have mail sputnik

glad the house stuff is getting sorted, tho u have been comfort eating.

godknows what im cooking for these children today, no food in the house, i must go food shopping tomorrow

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:04

No, it's all the stress that made me eat in the first place. That and sleep deprivation. DS's sleep habits haven't changed since her was 6 months old! When we get back after easter I am going to phase out bf. Maybe that will help me not to want to eat everything in sight. It should definitely help with the sleep.

There is a big park near our new place and I've been considering running there, but I always hated it. We'll see.

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:12

Oh good, I just copied it onto a label and stuck it with the nappies [efficient bunny]

I am tired and hungry tonight, and am slipping just a little as I can't face the thought of cooking a proper meal, let alone eating it. I have a tidy-ish conservatory (and it''s clean cos I did the cleaning), I have put my other pushchair back together and mended the raincover. I now have to clean the pushchair we did the long walk with last weekend and modify it's raincover. Boring day.

Have baked buns and honey flapjack for the DCs and have pizza in oven. Just a walk to the shop for milk and visit the grandparents and it'll be bed time.

Hi sputnik & butterfly

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 17:33

But I will lose weight, I will (just not tonight)

LittleMissNorty · 04/04/2009 17:36

Hi everyone. Nice to see you Butterfly

Ria - I read that as baked beans & flapjack . Buns and flapjack sound much better!

Boring day her as well....DH and DD still got colds and sore throat....highlight of the day has been walk in the park with DCs and dog!

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:38

Maintenance is ok Ria. It's saturday night after all.

LittleMissNorty · 04/04/2009 17:38

btw, Daisy I can go to a Savacentre on Monday if you still need the coat (visiting a friend that lives really close). Why don't you take a pic with your nice new camera then I know what I'm looking for. Our local Sainsbury's had bugger all.

LittleMissNorty · 04/04/2009 17:39

Well done on the house Sputnik....not though - I bloody hate moving. Is the credit crunch biting over there as badly as it is here with mortgages etc?

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:40

Hi Norty.
DD has another cold too [despair].

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:48

Credit crunch here too, but not as bad as in UK as there was never such a huge boom in the first place. Does that make sense?

LittleMissNorty · 04/04/2009 17:49

it is never bloody ending! Is it nursery do you think - it is here!

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:50

Right folks, step this way for ass kicking thread.

LittleMissNorty · 04/04/2009 17:51

yeah, not as far to fall! I'm very thankful we got a 10 year fixed rate on our mortgage!

Right, colouring to supervise! Later

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 17:52

Yes, she get's every bug going it seems, and so does DS. Would help maybe if they'd open the windows and give the place an airing once in a while, but Italians regard draughts as potentially fatal to children, even in august.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 17:52

I'm with you on the comfort eating. I have managed to avoid my nightly bag of sports mix for the last two nights though. My weight loss so far has spurred me on to lose more!!

What I find really ironic is that I've hardly drunk any alcohol since xmas, because it would only make my headaches (which I was getting every day) worse. It would've been far better for both stress levels and my weight to have drunk my glass of wine and left the peanut butter alone.
Now I seem to have shaken the headaches I might go back to my alcohol fix.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 18:08

thanks for the offer norty....can't take a pic though; mine has none left whatsoever and camera wont arrive till later in the week!!

But, it's a red hooded kagoul type thing with white polka dots and a red fleece lining. It was about £8 iirc. size 1.5-2 please

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/04/2009 18:19

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 18:26
