aww, bless your DDs jammy & daisy. Glad you had a good time jammy. Are you going back on the healthy thread?

Glad it's nothing more serious for babyfury, but is obviously a bugger for you. Hope the physio has some good ideas for you.

hi everyone.

DS2 poorly again. Poor little poppet hasn't really been right since his fall

Riallytoofattoflounce · 03/04/2009 22:14

oh bugger. DH has come home (unexpectedly, he was meant to be staying over and doing breakfast tomorrow) and brought wine. And now I want some.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 08:38

morning all I know it isn't really early, but it sure feels like it. And stupidly I have offered to make boiled eggs for breakfast

TheNatty · 04/04/2009 08:47

morning ria.

i feel like i have a hangover this morning, how weird is that? im drinking a pint of water right now incase its dehydration.

bloody heating came on again this morning even though it was switched off..

TheNatty · 04/04/2009 09:53

tax credits have cut my money AGAIN
13 quid a week
great, so i just wont eat at all yeah? ffs
their systems are down till tuesday apparently
so ive got to make do till for the next 3 weeks with just 39quid coming in.
great

just as well ive got vouchers and savings stamps, and enough money to put some electric on the meter.

arseholes

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 10:04

oh dear natty. did the citizens advice get them sorted for you? (I think I missed the outcome while I was having my PC break)

hope they don't cut mine for 4 weeks - I feel really bad for spending £40 on DS1s birthday present, but I'll manage so long as we have no crisis (as in it was the "crisis" money I spent - not that £40 would be much use)! Wish DHs new job would start and then we could get sorted properly.

TheNatty · 04/04/2009 10:25

no CAB was rubbish, they didnt do anything.
they cut our money from 90 to 60 for the last 3 months, now they are cutting it to 13.

my electric is 10 a week let alone food.

thank god i saved some money, tho when they find out abotu that money they will generate a even higher overpayment most likely.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/04/2009 12:46

Sorry about your tax credits natty

And sorry that this is going to sound really insensitive straight after it, but I came on to post that I've just booked our next holiday Another cottage, but in France this time. In 10 weeks time. Which just happens to be on Jamlet's 2nd birthday (eek! that means there's not that long to go to that)

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/04/2009 12:47

Oh and there are some pics on FB

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 13:09

natty savings only affect your tax credits if they are over £3000 iirc.

why are they adjusting it? when I got tax credits, it was only adjusted once a year, if required, after your returns form was done in April, unless there was a major change in circumstances. Since your DH has stopped working, surely this would only work in your favour?

because we got a final assesment for the last two years. this is the same problem thats been going on since november. they reckon we were over paid 500 odd in 06-07 and 600 odd in 07-08.
when they work out 08-09 i reckon they will say over payments again.

even though all the way along we have told them everything so i dont get what they are on about

but nothing we can do, they are taking back the 1200 over 6 months, so like 4 times the rate they gave it to us, that why we are left with nothing

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 13:46

no advice natty sorry, it's a shame the CAB couldn't do more. There was a woman here who went to the local paper about something similar and they eventualy sorted it. don't know if she got it all written off, but it was certainly an improved situation.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 13:50

do you think www.red2black.org.uk/here would have any advice. I read about it in a church magazine ages ago and it was a good article. In effect it could be considered in the same way as debt because they're making you pay it back?

Todays lunch seemed very small and insignificant

DH is tidying the conservatory. He is off to work later though, and out til tomorrow night

Ohforfoxsake · 04/04/2009 13:57

Hi all,

Daisy Sainsburys didn't have the coat, but they did have some spotty stuff, so I'll keep looking and see if they expand the range.

Natty presumably the Tax Credit people are regulated and not a law unto themselves? Get the Financial Ombudsman, your MP or someone like that involved. At least start a thread on here and find out if its happening to anyone else and see what they did.

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 16:10

but didn't they just send you a shit load of money natty?

just as an aside though, as you use your RL name and often talk about your DC and DH by their name, is it wise to be so candid about financial stuff on here?

Have we all got our bets on the national today?

I bought a shiny new digital camera this morning with my NCT profits. My existing camera, although only 2 years old, has a really slow shutter lag, so I have tons of photos of the side of the kids heads. DH got a Canon ixus for work and after playing with it for a bit thought it was really nice and quick so bought an 8MP version of it. DH wasn't too happy about it though as we have cameras aplenty in this house....but he takes his everywhere so if I don't have my own one then we'd never have any pics of the kids.

oh arse...how bloody rude of me

Thanks anyway foxy

OP posts:
TheNatty · 04/04/2009 16:15

yeah i will do, no sense bothering yet tho, its all going to change in a few weeks when DH offically finishes working.
then they will prob take away what little we are getting!

and daisy i meant that the bonus DH got end of last month is counted as income, so the unexpected amount will push him yearly salary over what we told them it would be for this year. because we werent expecting such a high bonus, and it was only cos he won some award thing at work that he got it.

so we are buggered pretty much.

oh well who needs to eat..

TheNatty · 04/04/2009 16:20

wouldnt be worth stealing my identity daisy, i owe to much money to people!

Nice to see you Butterfly, thought you'd abandoned us

Sorry you've had some more bad news Natty. Remember to send me your address for those nappies: sputnikinspace at gmail.com. I am starting to pack already and will be off on tuesday. I got them out today to check they're lean, they look so tiny!

Glad you are sort of ok Fury, make sure you take it easy, you do not want to end up on 2 months of bedrest like I did. Can you get some sick leave for this?

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 16:46

Hey butterfly, I've been looking out for you to paste a link to us
