Daisy what model Ixus did you get? Mine is a 950. I am not overly impressed with the shutter lag myself, hence me getting a new one....so now I am wondering if you have a better model than mine or if I got a lemon, if you say it's better shutter lag than the olympus.

Butterfly good to see you

Mum came over today. SHe has never had japanese food before and was very nervous at trying it.
Whilst she enjoyed it (didn't have any sushi though), she was somewhat surprised to see a 22 month old shovelling in sushi, fish eggs, char sui, and tamago. He ate as much as an adult. Then we went to the waffle hut and he had one of those too. Then 2 hours later he had a whole jacket potato, beans and cheese followed by a strawberry trifle.

I knew my shooping bill would increase with another mouth to feed but I really had no idea it would be by so much. He is a bloody gannet. He is in size 3-4 clothes now. I am beginning to wonder if he has some kind of peculiar disorder. Or is just a greedy pig.

Sputnik · 04/04/2009 19:33

He didn't look particularly fat in your pics Fury.
Perhaps he has a tapeworm
I could do with one of those actually

LackaDAISYcal · 04/04/2009 19:34

It's this one which seems to be the same spec as the 80. DH has got a 90 for work and having played with it a bit I was really impressed. I found a review of each which said that the shutter lag was the same (0.32s) on both of them. It's streets ahead of my olympus, but that's a couple of years old now and wasn't great to start with (DH thinks it's a generic camera branded as an olympus as he can't believe olympus would produce anything so shoddy themselves)

funny thread

HellHathNoFury · 04/04/2009 19:43

He's not fat. He's built like a brick shit house though.
I think the only reason he's in size 3-4 is because I tend to buy clothes for him in sainsbos and I think they size a little small.

Daisy the 80/90 must be better than the 905 then as the 905 doesn't rock my world tbh. But then I am also aware I am a tough audience Xmas Grin

HellHathNoFury · 04/04/2009 19:43

It lies! It said put an f in front!
then

TheNatty · 04/04/2009 19:47

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 21:40

jammy your photos are fab. I love the flower shots. DD looks like a very conifdent walker now. Did you Dad go through that tunnel?

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/04/2009 21:54

Thanks Ria
Her confidence with walking improved no end last week. We were outside so much and on a range of terrain - pavement, grass, gravel, stony beach, etc. And quite a lot of slopes too, some of them rather steep.
And no, my Dad didn't go down the tunnel. He went back down the steps that lead up to it

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 04/04/2009 21:58

Oh you'll never guess what I forgot to pack for the holiday? I packed clothes for me & Jamlet, nappies, toiletries, toys, food, plates & cups etc for Jamlet, coats & shoes etc, but I forgot to pack any knickers for me And what a good move that was! I was forced to go out and buy a multipack from Sainsburys on the Sunday and I then had a fresh, brand new, totally unworn, lovely soft pair each morning for the rest of the week! My bottom has never felt so loved

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 22:01

lol jammy. I usually forget toothbrushes.

Riallytoofattoflounce · 04/04/2009 22:31

am glad you found that PND thread daisy, I was going to link it for you (cos i knew you would have wise words) but I didn't get round to it.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/04/2009 06:56

lol jammy. I alwys for get something vitsal as well ehen we go away. I think it's because I have to pack for me, DS1, DD plus all assorted toiletries, clothes, crockery etc...and now DS2 is in the mix it's going to get worse.

LackaDAISYcal · 05/04/2009 07:00

oh and so much for fecking Sky plus. It records, but won't fecking play back and if we pause it it won't start playing again . Missed 5 minutes of Primeval last night because of it.

But as Dh pointed out....it only says pause and record live TV; nowt about playing it back

If we change our minds will they refund the £80 we've already paid??? It was meant to pay for the phone line that they haven't installed yet!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2009 07:19

God Daisy, that sounds shit! Hope you get it sorted. And well done Bumble for the big sleep!

Riallytoofattoflounce · 05/04/2009 09:25

if you kick up a fuss they should sort it out. Our first sky+ box didn't work properly, so they sent an engineer to sort it and were going to charge us for him coming, DH argued it out with them though

Is it just me, or is Nature Chris really lovely? (though those children are annoying)

am not looking forward to the prospect of a whole day alone with my lovely children.Xmas Blush

Riallytoofattoflounce · 05/04/2009 09:26

oh bugger. I meant bunny blush!

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 05/04/2009 11:25

I've got that jacket for Daisy

Ooooh, after I threw a bit of a wobbly the other day about how it's always me that gets up early with Jamlet, even on holiday, etc etc blah blah blah, DH has said he will fund a short trip away to get a little "me time" for me So the plan is to ask my brother & his girlfriend if I can stay at theirs one Sunday night, and for me to have a day at The Sanctuary on the Sunday, followed by a day to myself on the Monday to go walking, or sightseeing, or to museums, or whatever... Sounds like heaven

Riallytoofattoflounce · 05/04/2009 12:19

jammy. I think I must be getting something wrong somehow

so, it is a glorious day here, and I am spring-cleaning DS1s room - somthing else I'm getting wrong.
