OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Scorpio - Good luck for your scan, what time will you be back so I know when to come and see how it went? Agree with the others that 'she' is just being an inappropriate pain in the backside and that you have nothing to worry about there.

Denny - We've already had that chat a few times before and he still just doesn't get it. I feel like I've got 2 children rather than a husband sometimes.

Sal - Poor R. Did either of you get any sleep last night? Last time G was like that we got a plug in karvol thing that's a nightlight too, you put a little pad with olbas oil type stuff in it, and switch it on, and I guess the heat from the light in it warms it up and keeps the 'help you breathe more easily' fumes circulating all night. Helped a lot.

Soph - Stupid but you saying that you were making my bed up made me very happy, it feels like no-one does anything for me without being asked/told and there you are, never met you, making up a virtual bed for me. Thankyou!

Soph73 · 12/05/2009 09:58

Morning all.

Knitter - any time, I'm good like that

Scorpio - thinking of you

Sal - how's R. Sam's all snotty and runny eyes again. He's only been back at the Nursery a week He's still sleeping & eating OK at the mo though, so fingers crossed that it won't get any worse.

Denny - can't believe they stayed that late. So, what did come first the choccie or the ironing

ScorpiowithabigS · 12/05/2009 11:26

My scan is 1 pm and I will post by 4, it's a good drive away and the inevitable waiting! I have had 3 dreams about having twins LOL

Denny185 · 12/05/2009 13:29

Chocolate was lovely, ironing not finished

Waiting with baited breath scorpio

Soph73 · 12/05/2009 13:39

Ooooo, Scorpio should have had her scan by now. Hope she posts before I go home.

Denny - come on now, I don't want to meet you all crumpled

ScorpiowithabigS · 12/05/2009 14:32

baby all fine, measuring fine and good heartbeat. They scanned through my tummy so not hugely clear but deffo a baby! Just one LOL

Denny185 · 12/05/2009 14:42

Hooray, you can relax for the rest of the day now.

Shall get back to the ironing now

Soph73 · 12/05/2009 14:45

Yippee ... so, so, so, pleased for you Scorpio. Like Denny says go and relax and celebrate with some non-alcoholic bubbly

Denny - haven't you finished that ironing yet, tut!

KnitterInTheNW · 12/05/2009 15:49

Scorpio, brilliant! Isn't it mad what technology can do these days? Hope you're doing as you're told and having a relax.

LadyBee · 12/05/2009 16:40

yay for Scorpio's singleton baby!! Am v pleased all ok. Right, will go see whether Benedict is close to waking, I'm home today and tired him out taking him to RhymeTime, then a cafe, then a playground, then some more shopping then back home on the train.

SalLikesCoffee · 13/05/2009 00:24

Brilliant news, Scorpio!

Knitter, thank you for the tip. I hate it when I can hear him struggling to breathe. I'm not sure whether it is because this was one of the first things I worried about when he was born - he had fluid in his little lungs and we weren't allowed to handle him for 3 hours (they weren't allowed to weigh him etc until the paed approved his breathing). I now know it's very common and all that, but at the time I was scared silly, and refused to call my family or anyone saying he was born, as I was afraid he'd die. Strange the things that go through your head sometimes, isn't it?!

Hmm, enough of my nutcase-ness.

Soph, hope Sam's feeling a little better. When R started nursery, they said most kids have constant colds for the first year, and at the time, I though "surely not". Well, surely, apparently. Sigh.

Oh my word, look at the time. Uhm, I'm off. Night everybody. Sorry I'm so quiet typing, but I read everyone's posts every day, I promise!

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/05/2009 09:23

I'm soooo tired

even htough i had a good sleep. Had scan yesterday but DH didn't feel well so was very quiet; then because the sonographer said baby is measuring 6 days behind what i think (he said is very touch and go and normally they wait for 12 weeks for proper date as scan wasnt even transvaginal)the first two things he asks are 'is it my baby' (DH was in Thailand for over a week when they are saying i conceived LOL)and 'can we have proper sex yet?' was the 2nd one.

Then we get home and he goes to bed. Until 645pm. Then stays up playing Xbox, but couldnt help me get dc from nursery/school.

Then i do EVERYTHING again this morning. And he has forgotten i have booking in with midwife today.

And, to tell you the truth, i am worried how i am going to cope with mimi and bump. She is being a bit hard work this last week or so, getting into everything and i am constantly chasing her around. 4 children is alot, isn't it?

EllieG · 13/05/2009 10:43

Hey all - sorry not been around work is mad

YEY for scorpio's baby!

Yes, 4 children is a lot but you are a great Mum and your house will be full of love and fun and a bit of running around will be worth it. And will probably be good for Mimi not to be precious first girl anymore!

Will try to catch up tonight - after about a week of sleep and no illness Molly has a cold again so is back to wakefullness and whinging at night [sigh]

This too will pass.....

EllieG · 13/05/2009 10:43

Soph73 · 13/05/2009 12:40

Afternoon all.

Sal - Sam's OK thanks, we went to the docs this morning and she gave him some drops as he has mild conjunctivitis. Last night I bought some nasal spray for him which cleared out a lot of the gunk. I remember reading or hearing that children who go to nurseries have about 8 to 10 colds a year and apparently it can go on for about 3 years Sam will always be more prone to coughs and colds because of the DS so it's just something we've had to get used to unfortunately

Scorpio - you poor thing. I'm sure your DH is more than aware that it's his baby, but you know what men are like when they're not feeling 100% Yes, 4 children is a lot but you'll be fine and, like Ellie said, it'll probably do Mimi good, especially if it's another girl

EllieG · 13/05/2009 14:13

I think I might have to remove a baby from a woman this afternoon is so sad

Soph73 · 13/05/2009 14:52

Ellie - poor you, hope it goes better than you expect xxxxxxx

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/05/2009 16:02

Ellie - it's for a reason though, sweetheart. big support for you x

MW went well, though she reckons EDD of 25.12.2009 LOL. Will have to wait for 12 week scan to confirm ANY date for me [hm]

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/05/2009 16:07

loads of stuff has changed since having Mimi - new notes format, a swab test for chlymidia (sp?), nuchal fold at 12-13 weeks....loads! I only see MW at 16, 26, 34, 36,38 weeks.

Soph73 · 13/05/2009 16:10

Scorpio - sounds a bit like what I had here when expecting Sam. Can't believe you've been given Christmas as your due date - sweet Although an absolute bugger for DS or DD as both Christmas and birthday tend to get lumped together. A colleague of mine is expecting her first around Christmas

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/05/2009 16:12

i know, poor thing. My sisters birthday is Dec 23rd and she hates it. Though i could be 2 weeks either side, who knows!! So, so far i have LMP EDD as 22nd, MW 25th and scan 28th!

Soph73 · 13/05/2009 16:13

OMG, just realised Denny doesn't have any piccies or a profile on here and I'm supposed to be meeting her & family on Sat I guess she'll recognise me though as I'll be the mad bint going up to everyone asking if they're Denny LOL

Scorpio - are you still coming? If you are can I have the name of the place you're staying. Ta

ScorpiowithabigS · 13/05/2009 16:15

I'm not sure whwhat I'm doing soph, we havent booked yet and we do fancy Malta....will let you know soon though!

Soph73 · 13/05/2009 16:16

Well, that's just not on ... I was getting all excited

Peachy · 13/05/2009 16:20
