bored.

Hello?

Anyone got answers for my milk question?

We dragged our alcohol box out of the cupboard under the stairs today as part of a big clean. I am now seized with an overwhelming urge to mix disastrous combinations and get completely trolleyed.

You just know that if I were to, it would be the night that DS wakes over and over with teething pain.

I wonder if we even have any tonic.

KnitterInTheNW · 25/04/2009 19:51

Hi LadyBee!

Do it!! If B does wake up and is in pain, surely some alcoholic milk would be just the ticket?

VictorianSqualor · 25/04/2009 19:54

Ladybee, just saw on your thread the BabyBee isn;t taking milk from you at all jnow, PAnda is pretty much the same
I think he has had two feeds in three days and they've had to be sat up for no longer than about a minute. He kicks and screams if I lay him down for a feed now!

KnitterInTheNW · 25/04/2009 19:56

And I can't really help with the milk thing, G doesn't have any milk feeds any more. Still doesn't like milk from a cup, only water, so since he refused to bf any more I've just upped his yogurt/cheese/milk on cereal etc intake each day.

LadyBee · 25/04/2009 20:01

what, you mean you're not all giving brandy in the bedtime bottle already?

I have taken our Big Book of Cocktails down from the shelf...this is now a serious research task

There must be SOMETHING I can make with our assortment. Does every house have a random collection of alcohol stored somewhere? My favourites are the holiday bottles...Unicum anyone? This has to be foulest tasting thing on earth.

LadyBee · 25/04/2009 20:05

xposts..

It's sad isn't it VS...a couple of times BabyBee has pulled at my top so I've offered and he just chomps down and won't latch. It's like he's completely forgotten what to do. But he doesn't get upset about which I'm really grateful for. I can cope with my own feelings as I can see some positive things about stopping now as well (joyful taking of painkillers for example), but if he was anxious about it I think it would be really upsetting.

ScorpiowithabigS · 25/04/2009 20:11

We have kittens!!!!

EllieG · 25/04/2009 20:18

Hey all!

Glad Mimi is bit better scorpio, was worried when read friday's posts

Right then - don't fret about bringing G knitter I wasn't meaning babies weren't allowed, oh no no not at all, just that they didn't have to come. And lunch/afternoon cocktails are fine with me, I can manage pink drinks at various times of day, as am clearly an alcoholic in style of VS

VS - Molly is doing OK - they are lovely staff and they tell me she's fine once I leave, and go on about how happy she is all day. She still cries a bit, but is more of a protest thing and they distract her straight away and I can hear her stopping by the time I get to the door. Have noticed though when I pick her up, she wants MUMMMMMMMEEEEEEE all evening then. She used to be a complete daddy's girl, but has changed to me now, I guess cos before she could take me for granted and now she needs her time. So I have stopped cooking tea and rushing round doing housework when I get in and until she goes to bed it's mum and Mol time, which seems to chill her out nicely.

Hotel was sooooooooo lovely. Meal sooooo lovely. Sleep, OMG, sleep. Oh and I had a shag too. Also good. But the sleep! SO good.

VictorianSqualor · 25/04/2009 20:18

For cocktails use www.thatsthespirit.com/en/drinks/search.asp you shove in what ingredients you have and it gives you a cocktail

KITTENS! Yey!
Wasn't your cat producing last year about this time scorpio? It's clearly as fertile as you

ScorpiowithabigS · 25/04/2009 20:19

she had the last lot on 9th may last year, bless her

we have 2 black & white so far...

EllieG · 25/04/2009 20:21

Awww, bless.

VictorianSqualor · 25/04/2009 20:36

Lol, same LadyBee, I have the most terrible cold and can finally take decongestants!

Scorpio! Fab news, just remembered I meant to get credit for my phone from the shop but bought wine and doritos instead DP now knows I'm not a closet drinker (I think ) and said 'At least it's onyl wine you need to keep you company when I'm on nights' Methinks he has been listening to too many porn horror stories about lonely housewives

Ellie, good, really pleased she's settling better, Panda cries when I leave him with my CM, he actually grabbed my top and wouldn't let go last week but she sent me a text pic of him minutes later laughing in the buggy, rotter.

Right, must go find new phone contract. cancelled last one cos it was about a million minutes, of which I used 10 and 10 text messages of which I used 500,000. Plus as was always had home had landline and didn't really matter if I had credit or not anyway, but now I'm at work every day I might need it.

Booked my flights to London!!!! Whoop whoop!!!

LadyBee · 25/04/2009 21:41

I am actually starting to feel a little jealous about those whose babies cry when they are left in childcare. Mine practically leaps into CM arms. I know I should be happy (and I am, really), but a few grumbles might be nice.
Love the idea of Mum and Mol time Ellie, it sounds lovely and much better than rushing about doing stuff.

EllieG · 25/04/2009 21:43

DH don't like it much - he's having to do more of the housework and cooking - I think he is missing me being a SAHM. Will make him appreciate what I did a bit more I think!

ScorpiowithabigS · 26/04/2009 09:25

So sorry for those with BF woes - its truly horrible, i know, i miss it daily still. I am going to BF dc4 FOREVER, lol

Well we have 3 black & white kitties

LadyBee · 26/04/2009 21:36

Well done Scorpio's cat!
Our big black & white cat is curled up on the footrest with one paw dangling off the end and the other over his face covering his eyes - that's how he sleeps most nights. Daft beast.

Imagine if we had litters. Oh I suppose some ladies do with twins/triplets and such. That must feel weird when they're moving and pushing out, huh? It would be going in all directions. What am I blithering on about? Sorry....

KnitterInTheNW · 26/04/2009 22:11

Don't be sorry! I like reading things like that, that's how my mind works most of the time!

Can't wait to see kitten pics. We had a lovely 10 mins earlier watching a baby bird in our back garden with its mummy, mummy bird was feeding it little bits of whatever she picked up, So cute! I've enjoyed having the garden since we've moved, there are big sliding doors in the living room that look out onto it, and we've been watching the birds collect stuff to make their nests and now get to see the babies too. Mr & Mrs Blackbird have been my favourites but haven't seen their lo yet. George thinks the birds are great... from inside. Outside they're very very frightening apparemtly.

I got my knitting needles out again yesterday after a long break, to finish a jumper I started ages ago for G (although it's come out quite big, and the rate he's growing (ie he's quite little) it'll fit him in a years time rather than now, when it's meant to fit! I've ordered some wool to make lovely pg friend a blanket, like the one I made for Mol. It's the same wool (so soft and really enjoyed knitting with it) but in a greeny colour instead.

LadyBee · 26/04/2009 22:51

I tried teaching myself to knit a few days ago, but it didn't go well. I got confused about casting on...which basically meant I couldn't get started.

Luckily my mother knits so B isn't completely without handknits. DP has been in a very odd mood all weekend. He's been cleaning like a mad thing. He did the bathroom (including mopping the floor) and his drawers yesterday, and today did several loads of washing, cleaned my sewing machine, , reorganised the kitchen shelves and cleared off our thing collector dining table. I finished reading my book and hoovered (but only downstairs) .
I did contemplate asking him if he was up the duff and nesting, but thought best not to draw attention to his actions in case he stopped cleaning. Feel quite proud that I managed to resist being dragged into his madness.

LadyBee · 26/04/2009 22:55

Where is Sal? Did I miss a holiday? Or is she trapped under a large pile of 'Year End'?

KnitterInTheNW · 26/04/2009 23:13

Sal's last fb statud was that she was off to France but may end up in Belgium, something along those lines!

ScorpiowithabigS · 27/04/2009 09:25

i have kitten pics on fb

Ladybee - LOL at your DP. Mine is very good on the weekends, i pretty much do nothing . He made roast beef and all the trimmings last night and did the dishes. We watched 'The day the Earth stood still' on dvd and i fell asleep at 9 .

Mimi is just about better now; poor thing didnt eat for 2 days. She is ok, about 95% now. was paraoid it was slapped cheek but it wasnt, thank god. Its going round down here.

KnitterInTheNW · 27/04/2009 10:48

Kittens v v v cute, please post one to Warrington?

My DH is generally crap around the house.
