Actually I've realised I was talking rubbish as it is a 34 DD that contains the same volume as a 32 E. But the theory is right at least

PetitFilou1 · 26/03/2009 12:27

I was doing one you know vg

My dh does know my MN name - I decided what I wrote wasn't secret from him so not a problem. Although I don't encourage him to go scouting about exactly.....

My dh did 'accidentally' read me moaning about him once - he does bring it up now and again along the lines of 'I suppose you are on there telling them all I'm a total w*nker again aren't you' during an argument (and the funny thing is I'm invariably NOT doing that at the time

PetitFilou1 · 26/03/2009 12:47

and lol at your ds1

Off to get dd so back later..... still have to make sodding Easter bonnet (arrgh)

PetitFilou1 · 26/03/2009 12:48

Hope you've all filled in the DH survey looking for mums who've had babies in the last two years to talk about their maternity choices ladies (on the mumsnet email)

dizzydixies · 26/03/2009 12:49

lol VG my mning adiction is a complete secret from DD1 as she is such a blabbermouth chatty wee thing

I wouldn't be surprised if DH had been on here to try to work out what the sod was going on with me the last few days, hence the tiptoeing and flowers

lovely sunny day here (after terrible terrible night ) but have had excellent, grown up productive meetings with lovely solicitor re cafe so feeling all positive and ready to take on the world

DD2 currently making me 'coffee' and serving it up in her tea set - she's really rather good so I think she's after a job in my expanding empire lol

dizzydixies · 26/03/2009 12:52

oh and dh fixed the laptop thank god as I have work to do on my worlddominationplans cafe thing tonight

had a mild panic and some shakes there last night, withdrawal symptons?!? me?!?!? no no no

much wailing and gnashing of gums so far today, have resorted to calpol after teetha powders did not calm him. He managed a 10 minute nap and a 20 min nap, I am not used to this at all...was hoping for a kip myself at some point

my real name and mn name are the same cos I like a simple life ...dp not sufficiently interested to snoop

off to sow some wheatgrass seeds now for our juicer (I find wheatgrass bleugh but dp likes it)

pf just going to take a look at that survey now...

sambo303triesforScotland · 26/03/2009 13:42

blw ladies, I am thinking of making these for ds tonight, will he be ok with whole corn kernels or should I mash them? recipe here

Sibh · 26/03/2009 15:54

Rolf at VG baiting PP,and PF and her persuasiveness. I have to say, I would automatically believe anything you said Pf. It reminds me that a colleague was watching me type a cv once and said it was a shame I couldn't add that I could blag my way into and out of any given situation and be totally plausible even to the people who knew I was making it up as I went.

I will of course be trying the blagging on the neurologist when I finally get to see him. I went to the doctor with a very nice list of the peculiar sensations and numbnesses I've had since Sunday and he's arranging a referral. He has given me some motion sickness tablets too. Arse, arse, arse.

Maybe a nice neckerchief would cheer me up a bit.

Cyteen speaks the truth on men. Training on DS is going well - when the ILs sent me teatowels and an oven glove for my birthday he laughed hysterically and then said it was a bad idea to give people a present that made them feel like they should be cleaning all the time. That boy will go along way.

Steaknife · 26/03/2009 16:18

DH knows my MN name as he is quite pleased to be known as Mansteak, I had to explain the changing names for the rugby, he like oops's version.

However I do blog and like Mr PF he does throw it back in my face sometimes. I do always try to be fair about him, but he does sometimes ban me from writing some stuff as he knows mum reads it. I just tell mum on the phone anyway She has 2 boys and used to be a college lecturer and counsellor so has heard it all before anyway.

Loads of bra fitting tips here - tis a thread on my sewing forum. The lady that answers questions used to be a fitter.

I got measured at whatsit and whatsit that make the queens bras, I was wearing a 34a and va va voomed to a 30c - it really did change how I felt about myself. No idea what size I am at the mo cos of the stoopid metric bra sizes here.

Talking of the queens knickers, I used to work with a lady who used to work at Pringles (stay with me) When they stopped making the Queen Mums favourite line of underwear her household stocked up with all the end of the line stuff and after that would send it up to be fixed whenever it needed. CAn you imagine the conversation....

At dinner party - "and what do you do for a a living?" , "oh I darn the Queen mums knickers"

Sibh · 26/03/2009 16:44

Is the progress for your empire or the autonomous collective Dizzy?
Sounds very exciting.

Hello. I am home from dd1's three part (maybe four part) assessment. She tried to hold it all together until the end at which time the the therapist got to see a little bit of what I was talking about. Then I took her to get a waffle for lunch and she had a complete meltdown in the restuarant. OH JOY! I have almost come to my own conclusion that it is hormonal.....at the age of 5.

Reese finally figured out how to get the cat toy which was between the chair legs under the table. She'd been working hard for 15 minutes to get to it then I had to take it away because it was a yucky cat toy. Now she's mad. JOY AGAIN!

For the record, the time I've spent reading posts here today has been the only time I've smiled ...today. Thank you.

LoveBuckets · 26/03/2009 18:49

PF LOL at your DH, he'll be on subsidised wine appreciation next then. I'm a winter too so if he ever forgets what he's not supposed to wear, ask me. Funnily enough my DH who looks totally different colouring to me is also a winter, we both look best in black, purples, clear blues, turquoise and proper white. All the kids too.

Steaky Could have written your rant from this morning myself, and in fact I'm pretty sure I have several times! Sounds like you're looking at things rationally though, which is pretty impressive given the sleep situation. I find the best time to have the conversation is just after sex, when it's harder to be irritated by each other. I usually take Kurt into the spare bed when he wakes, at least there's a chance of someone getting some sleep, sometimes all 3 of us can.

Where's Annvan? She on hols?

LoveBuckets · 26/03/2009 19:28

TS High 5 for your DD being herself when you needed her to. I remember DS1's first meeting with paed, was so proud when he refused to draw a picture, slid off his chair, under the table and into her bag of more interesting assessment toys.

Sibh That sounds horrid, hope it turns out to be something harmless but annoying like a migraine.

Dizzy Have I missed something? Are you doing your own cafe or the community committee one?

LoveBuckets · 26/03/2009 19:38

Went to a new baby music club this am, just me and Kurt. He loved it and I felt so guilty as he clearly adored my attention!

Otherwise have had lazy day watching an old Stewart Grainger melodrama I skyplussed yonks ago. They don't do leading men like him anymore. Leading lady had one of those v funny 1940s accents - London vowels with Scottishy Rs that died out by the 70s. Made a delish carrot and apple cake that rose enough to slice and fill, not just ice the top.

oopsacoconut · 26/03/2009 19:55

Ann has no computer if I remember correctly

Just doing dinner
BRB

PetitFilou1 · 26/03/2009 19:58

Don't feel guilty buckets Toby is the same. He goes to Monkey Music and laughs the whole way through - all the other mothers comment on it... He goes to baby swimming too but the amount of times he had to have an underwater swim today was a bit much for him - he began to look a bit worried - and he goes to sleep instantly afterwards so I think prob a bit knackering for him. The rest of the time (unless I get to toddler group to let him watch the toddlers) he fends for himself. But he seems the most content of the three of them nonetheless.

sibh rofl at believing anything I said. I will have to think of something to say now and my mind has gone blank

Now tiresomely must do online shopping....

no1putsbabyinthecorner · 26/03/2009 20:08

lol pf I measured a 34e so got 3 new bras. still need to get new feeding ones though.
I managed to leave ds at dads while i went shopping as dd wouldnt stay.
buckets dd was an abgel whem out today, so i also felt guilty as she needs more time with just me.

hi sazzles hope you are ok and your journey home wasnt too stressful, cant wait to hear about the holiday.

sibh I hope you are feeling ok and get some answers too.

sambo i am thinking its teething here too, as he has been whinging alot last week or 2,or 3......

AnnVan · 26/03/2009 20:10

Hi all. Have hijacked MIL's computer again for a minute. Going in a sec to start getting food ready.
Buckets My pc is dead. Seriously wish I was on hols though.
Saw Dentist today as have massive sweeling in one gum. Dentist not sure if it is the root of the tooth that's infected or if it's the gum. If it's the root, I'll have to have root canal + crown (£1000) If it's the gum i'll just have to have a normal filling. Either way I'm on AB's for the infection.
Little man had some Lentil and bacon soup tonight and absolutely loved it.
Sorry haven't had time to catch up. Am now running off to carry on being busy and computerless. Hope everyone's ok!!
