OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 18:07

Obs if yu have been using it alreadty and ther have been no obvious symptoms then chances are it's OK.

Seen the doc, if things don't improve in 48 hours i have to get back to them ASAP and if they do, either these ABs are working to kill off any infection or it's a virus and will go on it's own. He gave me a ticking off and said I should have gone in last week with it

ellielou02 · 31/03/2009 18:26

awww daisy hope you are ok, & honeymoonmummy PND is horrible sending hugs to you all.
Be back later. OHT at the mo

coolkat · 31/03/2009 18:28

Glad you have seen doc daisy.

Still feeling pants here, very achey, feel very sick. Good for the diet

MIL just been and got ironing. DH has to be asked to do anything, why can't he just do stuff?

Becca feeding every 2 hours, although she slept through so thats good.

Sorry your poorly to merry.

ellielou02 · 31/03/2009 18:30

Hope you feel better soon merrym didnt see your post earlier

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 18:34

honeymoon, I have PND as well...it sucks

sorry merry, I have been too wrapped up in my own misery . I hope you feel OK.

My children are rebelling. DD keeps trying to steal my diet coke and is pointedly ignoring me when I tell her to leave it. I asked her if she was listeing to me...at which she put her fingers in her ears and said No . No idea where she has picked that up from.

Emmanj · 31/03/2009 18:38

glad its getting sorted daisy, take care of yourself.

coolkat - also have a DH that does nothing without beng asked. .....or will 'do in his own time' when not asked, meanwhile we r surrounded by the mess/dirty pants on floor/socks in sofa.
so annoying, they must think we love going round picking cr*p up after them!

sorry, didnt realise about the valerian and bf'ing !

here's for a peaceful evening - have tried the 4 hourly feeding as suggested yest by ceebee and dozy i think it was, has been much better so im keeping fingers crossed for the evening, and hope to not get 5am wake up call 2mw!

Rosa · 31/03/2009 19:14

ooh thats lots of catching up to do guys !
Daisly Lets hope things finally get sorted and you get better soon.
I was told Valerian was a no go as well ,mind you they do seem a bit more OTT here than in the UK.
I had a huge PND meltdown today when my order for an outfit for Saturday ( Mini orsas christening) was cancelled by the shop ( bastrds) as they said they thought it might be a security problem. I rang cust services they were CRA big time and said they could not see what the reason was and they would have to e mail the department and she did not know when they would get a reply. I suggested it was as I put in dh card details as he said he would pay and the site did not say that it had to be the same ( as others do). - Its a Uk company and GPs were bringing out the stuff as they leave in the morning. Anyway I have nothing to wear I tried on my entire wardrobe and dh sat there and said no , no , no - and most of teh stuff wouldn't close It is times like this that I hate this country as I have no options left- I honestly do not have anything to wear but jeans even my mat stuff is sporty and summery.

giraffescantdancethetango · 31/03/2009 19:18

Keep seeing this in active convos and its just dawned on me today what the title spells very clever.

Thats all I came in to say...unless anyone has any ikkle babies I could borrow a squeeeeeze with?

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 19:32

proffers up chunky 21 week old DS for a squeeze .....or there are those babies on the bump to 3 (?) advert; they are gorgeous!!

Rosa , is there no-one on the little italy thread who can help you out? There is nothing worse than feeling uncomfortable......or is there anything you can see online that your mum can pick up at the last minute? arse; just realised that they leave in the morning.

juanitad · 31/03/2009 20:02

Daisy you are still feeling like poo. If it's any consolation, your DS1 is the most beautiful child, just gorgeous!

It was jabs day here today, and you'd hardly know it - the little lad has been more cheerful than on a normal day! Still, glad that's it done now until 13 months.

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 20:05

ah bless jaunita thanks ; it's the blond curly hair that does it ;

I'm wrapped up on the sofa and DH is looking after me.

Rosa · 31/03/2009 20:22

Bless your dh he really is a good one . I ordered on line as mum called the local store to see if they had what I wanted ( Friday) they haddn't .Delivery to here was 5-7 days but we decided too risky so did to her place with express delivery.
They don't have any sites here with next day delivery in fact I can only find 1 clothes site with anything decent and they want 2 weeks !! L Italy know but so far nothing as yet I need Brangelina the Italian web queen !
I really am so upset rather than angry now as I just wanted to feel a bit better in me . As DH so kindly ( or so he thought ) said- Well thats an encouragement for you to loose weight so you can wear your nice clothes again.

MerryMarigold · 31/03/2009 20:24

I'm here. Just big time bunged up and hot & cold-y. Lacks, hope the AB's work quickly and YOU DON'T GET THRUSH BACK. coolkat, you're def worse off than me. I didn't eat last night but have managed my fair share today - nothing dents my appetite .

Dh didn't take voluntary redundancy, but keeps saying he hopes he gets made redundant . I said he may as well have got 1,000 out of the cashpoint and thrown it into the road (he would get an extra grand for taking the voluntary). Can you imagine - I bet he would have made the news?! Could've combined it with G20. Dh has to go to work in casual dress in case he gets egged .

rosa. big poo about the dress. Can you go and get something where you are or is it all really pricey? I so often end up in tears before family events having nothing to wear. I think I have put on weight since a month ago, I am aware I am comfort eating a bit too . Had a Boost bar today - they are sooooo sweet (even a bit sweet for me, prefer a double decker myself).

LackaDAISYcal · 31/03/2009 20:36

Oh dear Rosa......DH's can be a bit insensitive at times can't they?. I'm sure he meant well. fingers crossed you get something sorted.

Can you borrow something from a friend or one of your guests?

I wish I could help.

twinklingfairy · 31/03/2009 20:54

My friend had her baby
A little girl, 7llb 1oz!
Totally home birth, actually a water birth cos he hired a pool for herself.
So good for her, her last was an induced labour and her baby came out with his hand on his headouch! So she was whisked off to be sewn up and didn't see him for hours
She fought long and hard for her home birth and I am so pleased it went with no complications at all. Well a wee tear, but that is a small thing in the grand scheme.
I am well chuft, cos I told her, right from when she told me about her BFP, that is was a girl

PinkyMinxy · 31/03/2009 20:55

Oh dear, daisy sounds like you have had a yucky day today.

And merry and coolkat poorly, too. Oh dear.

Mimi is chewing a lot at the moment, but otherwise fine.

Me not having such a good time of it but hey ho.

Excavated my wardrobe today. My goodness it is another world in there! Three black bags of clothes and a big bag of rubbish. Don't know how it all went in. I also seem to have been having a style crisis since having children as there seemed to be a lot of random clothes in different styles, not too many outfits! lol. I need one of those style makeovers. Apparrently TopShop do one that is very good, with free champagne..

vbab78 · 31/03/2009 21:38

Sorry not been on just dont know where the time goes. Quick update ... whitby was fab. just what i/we (DH) needed . The weather was gale force on the sat and took my legs from under me a couple of times so I used DH to hold on to (6ft 4 and big built so good anchor). But on Sunday was beautiful. Kids were both fine with my mum and dad but apparantly DS kept asking for me. BLESS. DS being really good with the odd two year old glitch but since stopping at mum's on sat we have had trouble getting him to bed and really wants ME . Only takes 10 mins though but normally he would just go no fuss. Maybe it is just the clocks going forward? DS also doing good at toilet training but still needs to be TOLD repeatedly sometimes. Alyssa is 20 weeks today and an absolute pleasure. Has her demanding moments but great. Sleeping through 6.30pmish - 7am+, except for the odd night every now and again when up once. She is so strong willed. Thought DS was/is but not at this early age. ME - been feeling better about myself so not been to see doctor. Started yesterday going on x trainer for 20 mins at a time and trying to eat a little better and get more veg in mine and DH diet. Seeing torvill and dean on Thurs with mum and sis for mum b'day present. Will TRY to keep in touch.
SECRET STORK - Which lady was my secret stork? Love the puntin just wondered about if the letters were on their way? Dont like asking. No probs if not I wont ask again. Me and DS could make some shapes to sew on.
THAT WASNT VERY QUICK WAS IT?

AFingerofFudge · 31/03/2009 21:51

Ooh poor you lacks you must be feeling so rubbish with all that's going on with your body! Hopefully the AB's will kick in and you'll start to feel more perky.
Hmm, this is going to be a "poor you" post!!

Poor you Rosa. I had a major clothes crisis ahead of the christening last Sunday. DH didn't take it seriously, just a few lame "oh you'll find something". Nothing fits, my stomach makes me look 6 months pregnant still and my legs are all flabby. Opted for this tunic top that I could just about squeeze over my large frame, and a pair of black trousers. Wasn't very Christening like, but it had to do, as I truly didn't have anything else. The black trousers were ones I was wearing for digging the garden the previous week. - I kid you not. I had wash them in the interim!!

Poor you coolkat I think I remember it was you talking about being so achey before? Sorry you're feeling sick on top of it, hope you have people around to take care of you.

Merry I can identify with the comfort eating bit. I have given up chocolate, sweets, crisps and biscuits for Lent, and I have to say, mostly in the name of weight loss rather than anything super religious! However, in a bid to still cram calories into my mouth, I have taken to eating cake in large quantities. Before Lent I hardly ever ate cake, my least liked sweet food normally. However, I could now demolish a Victoria Sponge in one sitting if anyone challenged me.

Love to everyone else, hope it's a good night for all!

Honeymoonmummy · 31/03/2009 22:11

Gosh, there are too many of you for me to remember at the moment, esp with my swiss cheese brain!

Sorry to hear those of you who are ill or have PND, altho it is reassuring to have some company on that score! Is anyone else on Sertraline?

I'm ashamed to say I didn't see that in the thread title either, I thought someone had a temperamental keyboard!!

Thanks very much Chocolategal, I will email you.

I've been DF for 4 weeks to see if it helps DD with her reflux, oh to have a toffee crisp...

ellielou02 · 31/03/2009 22:37

coolkat sorry crossed posts with you earlier hope you feel better soon there are so many bugs about just now, know what you mean about DH I usually give him a few days when he comes home then start asking him to help with kids which he doesnt moan about, but then will say would you mind cleaning bathroom for me or hoovering or something and he will say yeah later but later never comes. Think you are onto something emmanj they must think we like to do these things
Rosa Hope you get something to wear, DH took me out for a meal just before he went away in January still couldnt fit into proper clothes so thought I knew what I was wearing black maty trousers (under bump) so they fitted, and a black ruffle blouse, after very stressful time getting ready and kids bathed and ready for bed all ~I had to do was get dressed, put trousers on and hem fell down (stuck it up with sellotape) then put on blouse which I had on for a few hours on Xmas day only to find M had slavered on my shoulder!! So ended up shoving on a maty top too as was way late.
MerryM hope things work out for your DH and his work.
twinkling congratulations to your friend its nice when you have a positive birth both my DD's had their hand on their head when born first one epidural second one nothing. The words wizards sleeve come to mind, lol sorry TMI.
pinky hope you feel a bit better soon.

Love to MerryM and her comfort eating. Doesn't everyone comfort eat ? I just assumed it was the norm. Certainly is, for me
Am off for lunch with my work colleagues. Can't wait. Miss them terribly. Hope my pelvic muscles hold out !!

twinklingfairy · 01/04/2009 09:30

So glad you liked your bunting
Hey if any of you guys want personalised bunting, any colour (well pretty much) its £1 a triangle (I recommend 2 blanks at each end to even things out) then 50p a letter.

I will try to upload a pic of mine, but I always have problems

vbab, how many triangles did I put on yours?

coolkat · 01/04/2009 09:39

Morning ladies,

Bunting sounds nice Twinkling, do you make it its just thought of something I may like but its long as dd1 and Rebecca's name!

Obs have a fab lunch with work colleagues, I know what you mean about Pelvic floor. Been doing all my exercises from Physio but when being sick the other day they failed me. I am so and about this.

Feeling really sick still and now have Diahorrea .

Life is not cool at the the minute!

Ceebee74 · 01/04/2009 10:09

Twinkling just went on your profile page to have a look at the bunting - gosh your DD1 is just gorgeous - so so adorable
