SMS, Coram's Fields is nearest to Kings Cross or Russell Square.

MrsY do you come into Charing Cross or Victoria? You might be able to get a bus to somewhere as close as you would get by tube. The 73 runs from Victoria to Kings Cross - I'm trying to remember buses from near Charing Cross - Aldwych is a few minutes walk from there along the Strand and then I think there are buses which go pretty much due north stopping near Russell Square - it's actually not that far.

Anyone who is or might be coming into central London by train should consider whether it's worth getting a Family Railcard. I realise that for Rosieposey it's probably still cheaper to drive, but for £24 for year you'd save £16 on your fare and the same again for any other adult fare, and 60% of the child fares. You don't have to pay for under 5s but there's nothing to stop you if all children travelling with you are under 5 from using the railcard - you have to pay for at least one child ticket but you'll probably save more on your own fare. eg if adult fare £30, child fare £15 - £45 - rail card tickets would be £20 + £6 = £26.

However, I don't know if there are time restrictions which might screw things up, ie I can't remember if you can travel before 9.30 am.
