bless DS1 daisy, sometimes they do know when you need them.

Grr for you fairy. My DH has just rung to say he probably won't come home tonight as he is doing another clay pigeon shooting diner, and has been asked to do the breakfast for 150+. Pah. At least that will take care of the hours he's allowed to work this week so we should get the weekend together.

Also spoke to dsis who wants ideas for "afternoon tea" for her DHs "playtime" next week. and am (and a bit on her behalf) that she also has to pay to take the other WAGs (bet they don't call them taht) out to dinner. No wonder she's been working overtime since October. He is a SAHD with 2 PT as and when jobs, which is why I am miffed for her)

of your walk jammy.

How is the patient daisy?

Ohforfoxsake · 26/02/2009 20:01

'ello

keepingitRia · 26/02/2009 20:04

hello foxy

sorry bumble isn't himself daisy. maybe it was the GPs

baggins has been tramping round in his wellies with no socks on and his feet stink bathtime in a mintue, just waiting for the other two to get out (they are allowed to play Wii before bed tonight, as I am slack mummy on my own)

Ohforfoxsake · 26/02/2009 20:08

Didn't take long to catch up there

Sorry to hear about grumpy bumble. Good on your DH though Daisy for getting his op done. Now you'll have no excuse ...

Natty - hope you are resting up!

Have we heard from Ekka? If you are lurking, hope your LO is OK

keepingitRia · 26/02/2009 20:13

is it Thursday? How did you get on Natty?

Must get this hobbit to bed...

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 20:16

Speaking of people being AWOL, where's Holly?

Sputnik · 26/02/2009 20:19

Yes, I was also wondering about Ekka, hope all is ok.
Bumper hasn't been about either, and I think Holly has been having too much fun in Ikea to be on here.

I am feeling really pissed off, DD is ill again, after a grand total of 3 days back at school. I have been stuck at home with both of them for the best part of a month, and ill myself too, and it is driving me crazy.

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 20:23

Sputnik, you must have cabin fever

Ohforfoxsake · 26/02/2009 20:24

Sorry to hear that Sputnik. Does your head in sometimes, doesn't it?

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 20:25

Maybe Holly is buried in a mountain of flat paked furniture and cheap household items with strange scandinavian names

Ohforfoxsake · 26/02/2009 20:41

LOL Fairy! They have probably had to move due to lack of room of cot-beds, pushchairs and flat-pack!

HOLLY -

Wonder where Bumper is. She didn't go full time, did she?

DKMA doesn't swear at us any more

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 26/02/2009 20:51

evening guys, uve been quiet

sorry to hear bumble miserable daisy, hope hes better tomorrow.

sputnik i get like that.. im gonna have three home all day soon.. eeek

i NEED to sort nursery for tom in september, he isnt down for anywhere local at all.
im going to register at my local library (hopefully) as the one that is 20 mins away is my nearest yet out of borough. so i hope they will let me, the nearest one in my borough is 2.3 miles away

CAB went well tom missed his special group cos it over ran, was a bit for him as it wasnt on last week and he wanted to go.

CAB are sorting tax credits, and phoned them while we were there to say what are they playing at!
given us loads of legal advice, but have advised not to do anything till micahel finishes work, except send them this letter that states for the next few months we are brassic and can they accept £1 a month till the money is sorted.

what did make me laugh is them saying an average family our size needs 500 a month to do food, toiletries etc.
we only get 320 currently, and he was shocked i was having to do the gas and electric meters on that as well (hence phone call to tax credits lol)

feeling much less stressed, can see light at the end of the tunnel. i cant wait for DH to finish work, cos he is only here one evening and one half day atm, i really miss him

FrazzledFairyFay · 26/02/2009 21:01

Natty, I'm so glad that things seem to be looking up a bit for you, at long last

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2009 21:03

bumper is crocheting. She was making a scarf so has maybe throttled herself with it?

DKMA is about on FB.

Remind me what's up with Ekka's LO?

I can see holly under a pile of cot beds, prams, flatpack and golfing gear, with her mad DS jumping up and down on top of it all

The patient is fine, bless him. He has taken two co-codamol and has turfed me off the big sofa so he can get stretched out. He is currently wearing a truss, his tightest jeans and 2 pairs of briefs with some ice-pops inbetween the two layers....he isn't whimpering too much yet, but it looks inpressive . I have told him, in no uncertain terms, that he now has the very teeniest, tiniest, meerest hint of what I felt like after having bumble .

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 26/02/2009 21:07

lol!
bet he wont be expected to still get the housework done tho eh daisy

im pretty sure i hurt one of my ribs quite badly yesterday been giving me jip all day, probally bruised it

michael is asleep next to me already.

humph. i know hes tired, but ive not seen him all week

OP posts:
Ohforfoxsake · 26/02/2009 21:15

Ekka's LO had MRSA.

If you're lucking, hope he is better

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2009 21:43

omg, when did that happen? I must have missed it entirely. Was this her new LO? I hope he is OK Ekka.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/02/2009 22:09

Hi all. You've been chatty (at last) while I've been busy this evening.

Sorry to hear about toothache, cabin fever, sleeping husbands and poorly babies. Glad to hear about good CAB advice, and brave little soldier DHs.

keepingitRia · 26/02/2009 22:27

you could suck his ice-pop daisy

glad CAB helped natty, just removing the stress of the situation could make it far easier to deal with. What kind of job does your DH hope for after his degree?

we could stalk holly on her website.

sputnik.

I have had a nice hot shower with sanctuary body scrub, washed my hair and am having a glass of wine. I feel nearly human. Still wish DH wasn't staying over at work, but I suppose I mught have to get used to that if he gets the new job.

Now I have to find a photo of me, and one of DS1 for his science homeowrk. I think the teacher must be testing home backgrounds. (the homework is physical similarities)

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2009 22:33

Ria.

No bloody chance

sorry you are all poorly again sputnik. More garlic and some echinacea and vitC.

ouch on the wisdom teeth butterfly. One of mine is impacted. It flares up now and again but nothing worth seeing about iyswim. Mind you, I should get in there and get it done whilst it's free...if I can find a dentist that will take NHS patients that is

Glad the CAB went well Natty; hopefully that's one weight off your mind.

If Norty and Tallulah are lurking

keepingitRia · 26/02/2009 22:40

well we have been very clean, and almost motherly of late

I felt the tone needed lowering.. Even I could go for ice-pops! only cola or orange though. how much are they now? can you still get the big ones? I sometimes used to be allowed 10p at the corner shop after school if I went in for the newspapers.

JammyQueenOfTheSewers · 26/02/2009 22:50

10p!!! I used to get 2p to spend on sweets. Mind there were some sweets then that would be 2 for half a penny

I'm going to bed now before I show my age even more! But I want to share this little irony with you first. The hour and a half we spent walking across fields and along a cycle track etc - saw no wildlife or animals at all to point out to jamlet. Not even someone walking their dog. Stopped at the little Tesco shop to pick up a sandwich on the way home and there were chickens wandering around in the street outside! (And no Hugh F-W wasn't anywhere to be seen )

LackaDAISYcal · 26/02/2009 23:44

I see your chickens and raise you one pheasant.....on a spare plot of land on one of the busy main arterial roads on the way into Leeds. DS was walking on the wall, as he does every morning, and disturbed a pheasant. I'm not sure who got the biggest fright!!
