Gingeme · 27/02/2009 20:06

I'm not going tommorrow but I don't think I'll be doing alot of mn'ing either. Things were going well with Edwards 5ml every 20 mins. He realy perked up. Took him on the school run to meet ds3 and he flaked out as soon as he got back for about an hour. Then I gave him half a digestive and he brought that back up Back to square one tommorrow.
Right off to have a bath.
Have fun tommorrow everyone xxx

simpson · 27/02/2009 20:17

Lilyloo - don't know how far walk is but hopefully not too far!!

Gingeme - poor Edward hope he is better soon...

JustKeepSwimming · 27/02/2009 21:40

Lily - come

Frag - take time off/put feet up

Simpson - grrrrr

Gingeme - healthy vibes for tomorrow

thinking of leaving at 9ish too....

I'll be the one with the grumpy baby who won't sleep in the car......

LuckySalem · 27/02/2009 22:48

Lily - I'm fine with you coming too

Frag - If doc says rest then take it. tell work that they need to keep on top of your work as your REALLY un well and need some help?

I'm driving with A and her boy. I've got a tub of fruit for her to snack on and a bag of toys. Am hoping she'll just sleep though tbh

Ohhh I'm so excited!!!

madmouse · 27/02/2009 22:56

Lily so glad you are coming. If the train is on time we should be at pp by 11.45, the walk is not very long at all

simpson she will be sick by the time she gets here

Fragolina please do what doctor says. Then write to work explaining what doctor says. Then file a grievance if the work is piled up when you come back. I am a manager and that is how i would expect people to treat me if I treated them like you have been . Surprised there are still companies out there who do not realise people are their most precious assets.

Ginge, Nathan was like that. He threw up on Sunday, refused to eat Monday, Ate a bit Tuesday, chucked up Wednesday and Thursday started to get better Friday ate normally by Saturday. Nasty bug and i did wipe him. He is heavier than ever again now though . Oh and I have no intention of telling you how to suck eggs, but my bet is on rich tea rather than digestive. Lighter, bt still nice and sugary.

I am feeling better today. DH and I did not go to bed too nicely. He disappeared upstairs for a whole evening of gaming straight away at 7 without telling me or doing the dishwasher (was planning to do that later but how can i clean the kitchen with all that stuff around!) so I went to bed without teling him, he complained, I told him pot kettle, real pretty. He came to bed neither of us could sleep and we both spent lots of time awake, but at least we cuddled a lot and talked a bit. We agreed that he is pretty damn close to depression again and that helped put things in perspective. He showed some more understanding of my issues so that helped. So even though we were both up well before 6 we were ok.

Came home from work and asked him how he was. Good he said haven't heard that for weeks. He and his boss walked for miles along the canal, had lunch then walked back. Talked about stuff that needed talking. He says he will now tell me what is bothering him too, just did not fancy it tonight. We watched a dvd together, the last time was on our wedding anniversary in September when nathan was unsettled so we fetched him down and he snored in dh's ear. Very romantic that

Sorry for long post but you heard me moan so much that I thought i share this too. Off to bed now, big day tomorrow.

madmouse · 27/02/2009 22:57

that should be it wiped him. although of course I do wipe him quite regularly. sorry, will calm down now

LuckySalem · 27/02/2009 23:00

MM - Thats lovely to hear. I do hope he does as he says and lets you know how he's feeling at all times.

I'm leaving here at 8:30 It (google maps) says it'll take 2hrs 8 mins so as I'm picking A up I'm leaving extra early (need to pack the car up there and put air in my tyres here) Should get there for 11:30 so if anyone is early I have a gold citroen xsara (t reg) 2 car seats in the back and a winnie the pooh airfreshner in the front

Hi all

Just getting ready to leave soon..

Am currently begging DD to fill her nappy before we leave as first morning poo is horrid and wouldn't want to deal with that on train but it seems DD is having none of it

See you guys later!!

simpson · 28/02/2009 07:48

poo mission accomplished

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 09:05

Fragolina - take the time off. It's better to attack a pile of work with some energy than to trawl through at a slower pace becaus eyou're exhausted. ALthough, as MAdmouse said, this SHOULDN'T happen (but in the real world might). Doctors really don't say stuff liek that for no reason. Look after yourself, sweet.

Glad you got off to a good start Simpson and wishign you all a good journey. I find train rides are quite fun for LOs.

Glad MArtha is better.

MAdmouse - DH's feeling better is probably more to do with your cuddles and chat than work, dear! It can make all the difference, so well done for persisting. That evening with DH sounds very familiar!

JKS - hope the drive went well.

Gingeme - How is he today? It's hoprrible when you think they're getting better and then they go back a step. Sabela still has cough but her appetite is pretty much back. I was actually afraqid she was going to eat so much she'd vomit last night.

Tired and a bit fed up today. Sabela very squawky - I don't know why. Will do my best to buck myself up. A huge cup of coffee and this short break has helped already!

AngeChica · 28/02/2009 09:08

Oh hi LaT!

have a great day meet-up ladies.

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 09:10

Hi Ange! What are you up to today?

AngeChica · 28/02/2009 09:56

Well DH is gonna build some kitchen units so I fancy getting out of the way and going to Tynemouth or something maybe. Also need to look for tiles.

Soft play and park yesterday = unbroken sleep til 5am. DS took his first step on a football pitch - it won't be his last I'm sure.

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 10:02

Sounds like a good plan!

How exciting! football

Gingeme · 28/02/2009 10:59

Morning ladies.
Terrible night . Not with George I might add. David moaning cause he had a tummy ache woke Edward up queue an hour of shushing and bribary and shouting at dc as well as DH who wasn't helping by trying to be helpful
Edward still weak but hes keeping liquids down at least today
DH taking George and david to the park later. Hes gone to order the flowers for the funeral
Well washing machines finnished and bread makers on so not all is lost
Have a good day all xxx

LaTrucha · 28/02/2009 13:43

Glad you're making the best of it Gingeme - and that George is managing to keep soemthing down.

I think Sabela is finally dropping her morning nap . It's only the second day, though, so our timings aren't perfect. We stayed out a little too long (shopping!) and she was too exhausted to eat lunch and has now gone to sleep with an empty stomach . Oh well.

Are you going to the funeral int he end?

Gingeme · 28/02/2009 13:57

Hi yes I'll go. My Mums coming down to look after the boys for us.
George will often go to sleep without lunch. Doesn't seem to bother him though.
Oh I'm so sick of CBeebies I can tell ya
Wonder how the other ladies are doing on the meet up ?

nicky6 · 28/02/2009 14:29

HI all

Hope you have a good time today we are not going to make it - charlie had this terrible bug since last sunday vomit diarrhoea all week and doctors yesterday as lost so much weight. Not eating much today but so far no nasties from either end, dh also had death in family and funeral and me in the middle of difficult case and now 5 months preg so all in all hell of a week.

Charlie now asleep. WIll try to catch up proper scan next week

Fragolina · 28/02/2009 14:54

Poor charlie! Glad he's doing better Nicky, sounds quite hectic at your end, hope things settle down soon.

Hope Edward is on the mend too.

LaT: Glad to know T is not the only one that refused to eat lunch! DH in charge today, so had a lie in, but as usual he ignored my instructions about timings and decided to give her lunh at 1 instead of 12 - she refused, was too tired, and slept instead. grrr

I know I should take some time off work, will take things easy this weekend, and see how I feel on Monday.

Ooh, Ange, sounds like lots of changes in your house - cabinets, tiles - what are you guys doing?

OK, going to catch a quick snooze while T still sleeping. didn't make it to meet up today!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 28/02/2009 17:56

Back.. had a lovely day. E had a couple of meltdowns which werent pretty and stressed me out, but we made it there and back. Am thinking of ruining diet with take away now

madmouse · 28/02/2009 18:13

Hi all

Back home here too. It was great and wonderful to meet everyone . will do photo thing later.

Think Nathan is happy to be home, he is rolling on the floor squeeling with delight messing about with his balloon. He was very upset in tesco and had a real meltdown.

Really want to see everyone again plus those we missed today.

Nicky what a tough time honey. Nathan lost lots of weight with a similar bug, he has eaten it all back in two weeks . Sounds like you need to find some time to rest and recuperate.

Angechica I will be in keswick for a week at the end of May? Any good?

LaT missed you and Sabela. Ginge you too. Glad edward's on the mend.

Fragolina · 28/02/2009 18:20

gosh, sounds like you deserve that takeaway mmama.

waiting on the edge of my seat for those photos mmouse!!
