Glad you got it sorted, Simpson.

Has anyone heard anything of MrsMc? Hope everything is ok there.

Very sad about the Camerons' little boy. Terrible situation.

Lily - well done on new thread

Sorry you've been so ill, Fragolina. How are you now?

Sorry you've been up so long JKs! This is the truly knackering time of day, I find, when I've been up so long. Don't forget Sabela! You have the photos to prove her beauty and I can vouch for her character. They could get up early together!

Gingeme - Lovely about the photo. And the pamper. You're on a roll!

Hi Mixedmama - glad all's better. Any news on job front?

Madmouse - I've given up with the ''. I just say my friend.

Hi Lucky! Missed you being around.

Ange - Who on EARTH is Sportacus?

Exam went ok. I made some silly mistakes but it has made me feel better about the course. I was being a bit Kevin the Teenager about it as I have done enough damn exams in my life, but as there were some things I knew, somme things I didn't and some things in between I've decided I can Learn a lot and actually it might be quite nice for it not just to be me and my textbook! That is, hen I got over how terribly young everyone else is. I shall be the matron. I felt quite condecending towards their fashionable clothes!

AngeChica · 25/02/2009 18:07

Found you all!

Was browsing the news at lunchtime and read Cameron story and started to well up at work . Feel so sorry for the family.

Well, (whispers) DS has slept through til 5.30-6.30am for a week now. We were all psyched up to do CC at half term and he just started doing it himself

Sportacus is the buff superhero in LazyTown who must show us all that he can do one armed press ups in every episode. Yes he surely is a gay icon as well

Captain DJ is the cool pirate radio captain of the good ship Guisto, on Space Pirates.

you sound run down and run off your feet Fragolina. I am going to do a few extra days at work over the next couple of months. Luckily my CM is very flexible. I am sad about missing the play group and walks on a Thursday though Needs must, DH car just needed fixing and has cost a grand to repair .

AngeChica · 25/02/2009 18:15

PS Ginge will you post a pic of your tat when it is healed maybe? I have a very blurry old butterfly nearly 20 years old now. I was wondering about a cover myself!

Gingeme · 25/02/2009 19:55

LaT glad the exam went well Can't believe you don't know who Sporticus is Google him , he's worth it lol.
Yep 2 things to look forward to in March. Shame it has to sart with a funeral though. DH's friend wants me to go to his Mums funeral on the 8th March. Going to feel awkward as I only met her a couple of times
Yes Ange I shall post pics. Its a bit itchy now where its healing. Desperate to scratch it. I would highly recomend the tattooist too. Shame you don't live a bit nearer to me

Fragolina · 25/02/2009 20:01

Hi everyone, doubt I'll make meet up, feel that tickle in my throat starting up again ...I really should bring T though if JKS is going to be eyeing up the girls for future partnerships!!

Thanks for new thread Lily, can't believe how many messages are already on!

Someone at work was dismissed for internet abuse, and several more are going through disciplinary - there's a big crackdown on 'chat' rooms and blogs, so will be popping in here of an evening (though DH last night referred to himself as a mnet widower - and I've hardly been on in months!)

Oooh yes gingeme, pics of the tattoo pls when it heals.

Thanks for all the good wishes guys, I'll just hang in there, and it will pass soon enough I hope.

Ange - love your summary of sportacus!

Simpson - good job on sorting that out. I know I've picked up tkts from fast tkt machine lots of times with my own card when they've been paid for through work, so not sure how those machines really work.

LaT - well done on your exam! can't imagine you're the 'matron'

Lilyloo · 25/02/2009 20:22

LaT well done on the exam

Ange sympathys we just spent that on dp car too.
Actually went looking at cars today in two minds whether to upgrade his or not. Really like the look of the VW Touran 7 seater.

It is so about the Camerons cannot imagine how they must be feeling , to loose a child doesnt bear thinking about. I sometimes chat to the ladies on the bereaved mummy thread on here and they are all so strong.

DP back to work tom have enjoyed having the extra help at home and doing school runs etc.
Apparantly he got a netion by top bloke at work though for his performance last week so hopefully things may be better when he goes back.

Gingeme - I think TBH it's nice to have a lot of people at a funeral. It would have been horrible at mum's if hardly anyone had turned up. I didn't even see who half of them were, it was so much of a blur but it was nice to see the chapel full.

Frag - Dh is like that too. He can sit totally absorbed in a football match, not saying a word, but as soon as I;pm on the computer, he's suddenly full of conversation.

Oh but I am the matron. There were two or three young lads trying to be Mr. Cool and I felt about 100, but was very glad I didn't have to be one of the people they were trying to impress.

My friend has emailed several times. She's hanging in there. Last night her baby woke every hour and yelled from 3.10 to 5.30. Hellish.

Lilyloo · 25/02/2009 20:57

Can anyone help with this am pretty desperate for ds..

OP posts:
AngeChica · 25/02/2009 21:23

Sorry Lily I've not heard of it before.

I just wanted to share, I am feeling really broody all of a sudden. Although LaT memories of newborn nights like that ought to be offputting . Maybe it's becuase my "baby" is now a great big toddler but I feel it more than I ever did before getting PG with DS!

Lily that thread is very sad and moving.

simpson · 25/02/2009 21:49

Sorry Lilyloo have never heard of it either. Your poor Ds Would definately talk to teacher and go back to GP for referral to dermatologist.

madmouse · 25/02/2009 22:15

Ange just told dh tonight that it is time he gets me pregnant again fat chance at the moment though

but my toddler is still small, but boy what an attitude my baby is gone. He had a rare long cuddly sleep on me this afternoon and I do miss it.

simpson · 25/02/2009 22:19

Madmouse - I can't remember the last time DD had a sleep on me probably at around 6wks old

Although she is nice and snuggly after her bath when she is tired.

Lilyloo · 25/02/2009 22:20

Ange thanks for vest tip good idea
i hadn't either apparantly quite common think its just variation of warts cannot believe i have a 7 year old conscious of his body and this to deal with

Even had dd1 asking me the where do babies come from ques today too! She was happy with description of how they were born rather than how they get there!

Broody i must remember they are not babies for long (new mantra)

OP posts:
LuckySalem · 25/02/2009 22:34

I'm overly broody too but it's all ok cos I will get my next one..

Lily - I'm sorry I've never heard of it so I dont know what to say but I really feel for your DS.

madmouse · 25/02/2009 22:43

Lucky are you trying to say something???

LuckySalem · 25/02/2009 22:43

No no no, I think we were too late in the month this time

Lilyloo · 25/02/2009 22:44

Lucky ..................
you said you had been busy

OP posts:
madmouse · 25/02/2009 22:48

Lucky pmsl i was chatting to A and she said she had seen my post on your wall and told me you were off with dp. I said yeah I know she is making babies snort

so I was kinda disappointed when you started talking about feeding ducks

LuckySalem · 25/02/2009 22:50

Yeh well the plan was to make babies (well not the reason he took the time off but if as he was off we might as well) but we were just too busy

JustKeepSwimming · 26/02/2009 08:04

Lucky - PMSL at your plan & DP having time off for it

G - hope itchiness going

Fragolina - hope you are feeling better and can make it on Sat. Would love to see T

Lily - so sad for your ds sounds like maybe they are peaking anyway so may go soon anyway? vest good plan, esp atm but not so good in summer.
Would think if you go to GP and emphasise the bleeding as well as social problems you might get a referral.

um, what else....?sorry if i've missed you out, ds1 pestering me to pretend to be a dog so he can put me to bed.....

DS1 woke at 5.45, so marginally better, DH got up with him, i didn't get back to sleep but lay there for a bit longer at least.
DS2 up earlier than his usual too (6.30) but meant he could go back to sleep now before we head off to playgroup (thank god for playgroup!).

suffering today after too many wines at curry night last night....

mixedmamameansbusiness · 26/02/2009 09:29

JKS - Will fight you for T and A

Looking forward to sat ladies....

LMAO at Lucky too

mixedmamameansbusiness · 26/02/2009 09:29

Lily - no ideas i am afraid btu second what everytone said about a dermatologist

LaTrucha · 26/02/2009 10:04

Lily - I'm sorry about DS distress. I hope his teacher can find him somewhere better to change. I'm sorry I can't help with a remedy.

JKS - gald you had a marginally better morning. Hope you enjoyed playgroup.

Madmouse - you can have Sabela sleep on you any time you want. She usually does about an hour on me between 5 and 6 every morning. You up for it? Is DH not so ken on a little addition to the family?

Ange - I'm broody too but we're working on it! It sould be offputting shouldn't it (see my whinge below) but somehow it isn't.

Lucky - seems like we're all at it

Simpson - Ditto my offer to MAdmouse. Cling-on baby for hire here - free of charge!

So, have any of you got little cling-ons at the moment? I have! Please tell me you do because I'm blaming it on being away from home. Sabela just cries every time I put her down. I'm trying to get on with it as best I can but all I can think of (which probably isn't true) is that it's so much easier at home, even if I do have to do the housework.

I'm probably being unfair to her. She still has a cough, DH is away and she's just cut a new molar, butit's wearing me down.

I have decided that if I nee dto do something, I will treat her as I do at home (ie put her in her cot with some toys to have a shower). I did it this morning and she howled. I tried to explain to MIL and she was supportive (although had a different tack from me). I simply can't wait around every morning for one of my PIL to be free so I can give her to them. It's just not working for me.

Sorry for rant.

simpson · 26/02/2009 11:07

LaT - DD is a bit of a cling on too so you are not alone, although its the whinging that really gets to me TBH.

HV suggested giving DD undivided attention for 10 mins out of every hour so Molly knows I will keep going back to her iyswim.

Have to say the last couple of days she has been better (until the dreaded 4pm - then she is child from Hell) so I don't know if it is because that is working or because her teeth are not so sore...who knows

Managed a quick shower this morning by putting DD in her activity station - she has not been in it for weeks and was not amused

fillybuster · 26/02/2009 11:18

Hi ladies,

Love the new thread title! Can I have a link for the Saturday meetup pretty please???
