Lilyloo (((hugs))) (as many as you need despite MN habits!)

off to bed in a sec, so sorry for missing personals.

2 glasses of wine & a chinese takeaway with DH later .....

Lilyloo · 25/03/2009 22:18

Thanks JKS hey ho i guess

OP posts:
simpson · 26/03/2009 09:08

Lilyloo - sorry for yesterday. Hope you feel better today. ((hugs))

JKS - hope takeaway was good

Well, have decided to cut out all wheat products for 2 days and see if it makes a difference to DD's poo.

Pead rang last night and doesn't think i should do this and we will talk about "options" on next appt (7th April) but I have never agreed with him anyway so going to try just 2 days and see if any change...

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2009 09:35

Morning

Plans in a mess this morning as mistimed H's sleep so he's just gone to bed, so no playgroup. have texted other mum to come round here instead if she'd prefer. but house isn't usually ready for 'visitor's' in the morning!!

Simps - yey to 3 teeth! they are shooting out now. maybe the teeth are causing the bad bum then not food?
Takeaway was yummy thanks, if terrible for my diet, i'm soooo near the 8,13 mark but won't get to it with that kind of behaviour!!!
Wheat is a common one i guess. yeah ignore the pead, he sounds cr*p!

G - dunno why the boys aren't sleeping so well tbh. well last night they both went 7-5.30/6.30 T/H so no disturbances thank god. i only woke once for a drink and a cough. maybe i should have calpol before bed too!
How was night 2???
And i so agree about reading in bed, one of the main reasons i've moved babies out!!!

LaT - pmsl at the bonnet pic

Lucky - you can only try with the tag taken off one - i often find if i go to take something back and sort of say 'i know i might not be able to return this but just thought i'd see...' it works. and then you don't get peeved if they say no, just 'oh, ok, never mind'.

Lily - great on DS report so his attitude in class is very good - how has his football been recently?
i wish i had someone else to help with the kids too - it's something that gets me down big time.
like now, H gone to bed, so T can't go to playgroup happy watching tv for a bit but means we have no going out plans for the day which isn't great. luckily dh may be back early/by teatime so could take him for a late walk or something.
If i had someone to just sit here we could go out. need to hire a granny!

Right, going to try to tidy up and do some ironing or something useful!

simpson · 26/03/2009 10:10

Oooh lilyloo forgot to congratulate H on his report, you must be very proud!!

DD had an oat cake this morning, instead of toast which has been a hit

JKS - Am another one who likes to read in bed here.

DS disturbed me at 1am by saying he wanted some cough medicine There was nothing wrong with him, took me ages to get back to sleep. Grrr...

Gingeme · 26/03/2009 11:40

Oh dear George has just gone for his jab and he was aleep Another 5.30 am start for the boys but all slept all night again
Ive been to get my nails done and DH has been trying to keep George awake.
Sounds like a good plan Simpson. Its you that controls what Molly eats not your pead. He's not at home with you every meal time and bum change time is he . Lol at the Bob pants though. We have some of thme knocking about somewhere.
LaT, bonnet, yum very sweet .
Lillyloo brilliant news on ds report. Well done him and you.
George fell off our table in the front room yesterday. Full standing up fall iykwim? he cried for a bit and almost immediately climbed back up I give up.
Right more stuff in the tumble dryer bfore I pick Edward up from playgruop.
Have a good day all xx

simpson · 26/03/2009 12:19

can I have a proud mummy moment??

M just pulled herself to standing using J's plastic chair (Gingeme - like the ones you have)

Hope George ok? Little Monkey!!

madmouse · 26/03/2009 12:44

Simpson I am definitely having a proud auntie Madmouse moment there

You do what is right for Molly, maybe if paed had been remotely supportive so far you would be more interested in his view

Right

Been to doctors.

Have been diagnosed with post traumatic stress disorder and referred for urgent counselling. The referral form has already been faxed and he said to expect to hear in two weeks.

Am a bit shocked, ptsd is what my clients have, not me. It means, as dh kindly pointed out, that I have to admit there is a serious problem.

Housemum · 26/03/2009 13:50

MM - at least though now you know you are halfway to solving it. Have some very un-MN [[[[hugs}}}} from me.

JustKeepSwimming · 26/03/2009 13:53

Madmouse - ((hugs)) as many as you need. your dh is so right and i'm glad you have a diagnosis iykwim?
Also very good for you to hopefully get this all sorted before you think about baby no 2 so you don't spend all the pg stressing (well you probably will anyway but hopefully in a more 'insightful' way if that makes sense?).
Makes the most of the counselling and don't hold back ok?
((few more hugs & cups of tea))

G - H is like that, will fall, cry and then go straight back. silly monkeys!

S - YEY for M

right, sore head, off to find some neurofen and persuade T to come for a walk with me & H before H needs another nap....

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 15:09

MM - HUGE HUGS from me too. Dont care if MN doesn't like them :-P I'm glad you're getting somewhere and I do hope they can sort you out. Your DH is right, you need to relax now and sort your head out. Use the counsellor as much as you need and if there are some things you dont want to talk about thats fine but make sure that its not something you need to talk about IYKWIM.

Simps - WOOHOO to Molly!

Lily - Sorry to hear about your nan forgetting. Bit mean of your dance teacher to be like that. Surely they can understand why you didn't have phones on etc.
Congrats on H's report too

Well having an awful day with A here, she's really wingey and keeps rubbing her ears and gums. I keep looking at her top gum and it does look like its' about to pop but it just seems to be giving her such problems
She's sleeping at the mo on sofa (naughty mummy)

simpson · 26/03/2009 15:56

Madmouse - glad your doctor took things seriously. Hopefully things will happen quickly re councilling etc. ((hugs))

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 18:00

Can I ask you some advice?

DD has taken to throwing her food on the floor on purpose.
I've tried ignoring her
I've tried taking it away
I've tried tapping her hand.

What do I do?

madmouse · 26/03/2009 18:07

we laugh about it

it is all part of discovery, cause and effect, reactions

but maybe we are soft parents

Gingeme · 26/03/2009 18:21

Yes Lucky don't scold them its all discovery on their part. They'll soon forget it once theyve discovered something else they can do just as annoying
George was fine after his jab though the nurse still asked DH if the babys mother knew he was here getting the baby injected whats that all about ?
Yey Molly for standing and they can only go further .
mm sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you. I hope the counciling helps loads
Oh apparantly I am in one of the MN books MrsMcJnr facebooked me and told me. I have ordered a copy. She is doing just fine by the way.
Right half hour till bed time. Better get pyjamas and toothbrushes ready.....

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 18:22

ok but in the meantime she's not eating cos she's too busy throwing it on the floor.

simpson · 26/03/2009 18:36

Lucky - does A use a fork?? When M starts throwing food about it usually means she has had enough or wants fork.

I have to put food on it then she gets it to her mouth.

Gingeme - can I say "I knew you when..."

You must tell us what your quote is...

When DS had his MMR the nurse rang me (DH had taken him) to check I was ok with it...very odd

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 18:52

Very wierd about the nurse checking if MMR is ok.

She wont use a fork only a spoon and she can't spoon pasta and meatballs in, lol

A is wandering around naked at the mo and peeing everywhere dead funny but she's so happy Ican't bring myself to put a nappy on her.

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 18:59

Oh new thing for you all too.
Me and Dp were thinking of trying DD with a potty when we get back from hols as she has a "tell" when she's going to wee wee while she's outta her nappy. Do you think we'll be overly stressing her?

We aren't going to shout at her if she doesn't wee wee in the potty or anything. We were just thinking that if we put her on it when we saw she was going to wee and then applaude like hell it may get her to use it naturally?

Gingeme · 26/03/2009 19:24

Lol Simpson. DH did say would I make any money out of it
Oh luckysalem your making a rod for your own back love. I would say 'no' to potty training so young but if you want to give it a go you go for it. Good luck with it but personaly I wouldn't.
Boys in bed and all is quiet, so far.
My kleeneze man has just bought my stuff I ordered from him and I always feel myself blushing when I speak to him. No idea why he's about my age but has a goaty scraggy beard and never ever wears long trousers. He wears 3/4 length shorts even when it was snowing and he smokes yet I always blush....

simpson · 26/03/2009 19:26

Lucky - you won't know till you try iyswim.

If you think she would do it then go for it!!

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 19:51

I think I may just get her a potty and even if it just becomes another play thing then at least it's not gonna be a scary thing later on.

Lilyloo · 26/03/2009 20:05

Evening all

photos of decorating on profile now!

MM so glad you are getting some help to address your issues !

JKS it is so hard without help isn't it. My il's live an hour away and i know if i lived nearer to them we would have loads of help.

Lucky i personally wouldn't do tt until they can talk. DD was much earlier than ds though. Think she had just turned two and we had maybe one or two accidents.

Simps poor M she sounds to be really suffering again. What makes you think wheat ? Well done on the pulling herself up though

Gingeme do you just have to keep ordering stuff from him then ?

Busy day here making ds fancy dress costume fro tom. He bumble bee. Have sewn black ribbon to a yellow vest. Black pants and top underneath. Have face paints and a headband with the balls on top for antennae and his cousins little black hat (not sure of proper name) that he wears for mosque. Hope it looks ok on!
Dp had terrible day he took ds to school so ended up running late for work. Then he had small bump on way to work. No damage the other girl fine. Until she decides to ring him this aft and say she has whiplash !!

OP posts:
madmouse · 26/03/2009 20:08

Lily she cannot have whiplash yet. It is even too early for muscle pain. She is having it on. Don't panic.

LuckySalem · 26/03/2009 20:14

Lily - She doesn't have whiplash. She's seen £££'s. Dont panic about it.
