Gingeme · 24/03/2009 11:37

Mmmmm.....Simpson
Well I think tommorrow is the day George will join his big brothers in their room He has been sleeping through till 6 for 4 nights now and they wake about 6.15-6.30 so they can all entertain each other in the mornings. DH's day off so we will get the cot in there. Probabaly will have to change the rom round a bit too.
How was your night JKS?
Wow its quiet here today. You must all be out in the sunshine

simpson · 24/03/2009 12:01

Ohhh Gingeme - exciting

Hope no one climbs into his cot!!

DD is sleeping and is now supposed to be having lunch before toddler group, so may have to resort to a jar for the first time since forever

Lets hope she doesn't kick off about being spoon fed

Gingeme · 24/03/2009 12:23

I was thinking of Molly last night while the boys were munching on their waffles George managed about half of one

simpson · 24/03/2009 16:26

Gingeme - I think the reason she eats so much is because it keeps coming out the other end iyswim

Got a big bag of veg reduced to 50p from M&S so will see how much of it she manages....

Gingeme · 24/03/2009 18:09

Yeah hadn't thought of it like that. When is her next appt? Let me know how she gets on? See if you can change peads though he sounds horrible
Well weve done it . Georges cot is now in the big boys room. Just hope they all go to sleep ok. George more or less goes to sleep straight away but the other two usualy have a chat first. We shall see

LaTrucha · 24/03/2009 18:15

Simpson - LOL at big bag of veg! Did you persist with the egg? Could it be that, building over a period of time?

Gingeme - good luck with the cot move. It sounds idyllic but chances are ...

Lilyloo - are you pleased with the results? Pics?

Madmouse - hope things are sorting themselves out in your head after your intense weekend.

Lucky - so how many days to go now then?

JKS - M+S do 32s. Anything nice there?

Just been facebooked by some old school friends. It's nice but I was a very different person then. It's been 20 years! So far it's ok!

JustKeepSwimming · 24/03/2009 18:20

Evening all

H PHSL at the Tombliboos (sp?), T is sheepily eating some plain bread & drinking milk after refusing all tea earlier, grr.

LaT - a sun bonnet? nooooooo

Lucky - anything from DP today about the work thing?

Lily - is M in with L now? if i could guarantee 7-5.40 i wold go for that over waking at night.
but would still prefer 7-7, hahahahahaha

Gingeme - i totally agree, nanny state taking over. sensible people can't just get on with things, hmph!
So hope it works out for you with G in with his brothers. if it helps, H happily lies in his cot, chewing his blankie, falling asleep while we do T's stories/play bed yo-yo with T, etc.

Madmouse - we are here to here complaints, rants, all other not so positive stuff as well as the positive stuff (lord knows i don't hold back, lol!).
and DON'T feel guilty about someone helping you, you know you'd do exactly the same in reverse!

Simpson - i thought you had got on top of the poo situation. what can you think of? still doing a food diary? hate to say it, maybe she will be like your mum said and just 'grow out of it' at 2

Last night was ok-ish. H woke crying at 10 just after i'd drifted off he settled himself though i had calpol at the ready. then i woke at midnight with a hailstorm making a heck of a racket. then at 3.55 for no apparent reason.
then i think it was 5.55 for the boys.

Orchestra tonight - they don't believe me that it's a late night for me! finishes at 9.30 so never in bed before 9.50.

well H melting down slowly and they need a bath tonight so best go

JustKeepSwimming · 24/03/2009 19:18

x-posted LaT.

M&S is where is started and they tend to have 32s in stock for what they have but was hoping i could find a cheaper supply as spent far too much there & debenhams/la senza.
the 'sets' in primark are about 4.50 compared to anything from 15-50 elsewhere.

Yes Lily & Gingeme - i'd like photos of newly decorated & newly laid out rooms please

best go sitter here...

simpson · 24/03/2009 19:20

Gingeme - do you remember me yesterday saying M launches herself at J from a distance to kiss him??? well worked out today that its not kisses, she is trying to bite him

Kind like a "get away from me/my toys" way

DD's bum is so red/sore that when I changed her for bed she was screaming & screaming and when I wiped (yet more) poo off her her little legs were shaking coz it stung her

Gingeme · 24/03/2009 20:50

Well so far so good gave the boys their shower at 6.30. Drinks and bottle done by 6.50. In bed reading a story by 7. Bottle drank, George sitting on my lap, wees done and lights out by 7.05. David asleep almost immediately. George and Edward shouting and giggleing while Edward put loads of toys in the cot while George chucked them out . Settled again. 7.20 still giggling but George laying down in his cot by now. 7.40 George asleep Edward singing twinkle twinkle at the top of his voice and kicking the wall. Re settled all asleep now. Fingers crossed it stays that way till morning Oh and our room looks massive now

Housemum · 24/03/2009 22:00

Anyone else having problems with MN? I have a half-purple screen and all posts squashed down one side, so will catch up tomorrow

Madmouse - MN is THE place to let out all rants and emotions - it's halfway between anonymity and RKL friends - the benefits of talking to "strangers" in that you won't bump into us in Sainsbury's but the closeness of taling to friends as we know enough about each other IYSWIM

LuckySalem · 24/03/2009 22:36

Hey all,
Sorry for no personals, I have read but I'm off to bed so not too good.

DP is going on a different course tomorrow instead at the local store so not too bad.
Been bra shopping today and I'm now a 42F. Where's my 38DD's gone? lol

Aaliyah bit wingey so am tired.

Hope you is all ok though.

JustKeepSwimming · 25/03/2009 06:15

Morning all...

Housemum - Yes there is a problem with this thread - but not with any others that i've looked at yet, weird

Simps - H keeps biting me too, i say No very loudly but it doesn't seem to bother him...
SO sorry for your DD, hope she gets better soon. have you tried other wipes? ultra sensitive ones? or even cloth wipes and water? (we've got some great ones we got when we first started with cloth nappies (we don't use them much anymore!) from somebody like Company Lollipop - will have a look)

G - how did it go?????? the bedtime sounds fun and how was your first night with no baby in over a year (or longer?)
on second thoughts, don't tell us!!

Lucky - glad he is doing a course at least. 42F? think that's called an 'ample bosom' (love the word bosom, say it buzz-umm!) can't be used to describe my mostly-non-existant-nothings!!

Last night:
10 light off
11 woke coughing
2 T up wandering
5 hailstorm
5.25 T up

This is almost as bad as early baby days. my mind is turning to mush and i keep doing really stupid things, need some decent nights sleep.

simpson · 25/03/2009 08:54

What has happened to this thread??

Most annoying...might report it as hate the having to scroll left/right etc and well as up and down....

Gingeme - how did last night go??

Lucky - deffo counts as ample "buzz ums"

JKS - was only using water and cotton wool on her and it still stung poor love but seems better today but we had a "disturbed" night shall we say!!

Lilyloo - have you posted pics of new rooms yet??

Madmouse - you ok today??

Housemum - this layout of thread most annoying, I agree. Grrr....

LaT - how are you?

LuckySalem · 25/03/2009 09:51

all the bras I bought yesterday don't fit!!

The back is riding up, my boobs keep falling out the bottom of the cups and the wiring is sticking out in front! Am gonna have to go back but I've taken the tag off one of them.

simpson · 25/03/2009 10:40

Lucky - have you taken tag off all of them??

simpson · 25/03/2009 10:41

Forgot to say, we now have 3 teeth

JustKeepSwimming · 25/03/2009 10:46

Lucky - grr i know how annoying that is!
Now i've been on 2 threads about bra measuring recently so try this, measure yourself, 'under' and 'around', then come & join me on a thread with a MNer called Piratecat who used to work at Rigby & Peller and loves helping people out re bras.

link here

thread seems fixed....

Gingeme · 25/03/2009 13:12

Afternoon ladies
Simpson 3 teeth yey they are coming thick and fast now. Yes George has bitten me quite a few times now too. Bloody hurts doesn't it?
JKS your night sounds rough any ideas why they are so disturbed? re teeth, temperature, noises outside?
Oh bummer on the bras Lucky. I don't wear wired bras any more unless were going out anywhere special which is probably why I only have 1
Well last night wasn't too bad apart from the start where Edward was bombarding George with toys. David fell asleep almost as soon as his head touched the pillow. George wasn't too far behing him but Edward was still awake about 8pm still singing twinkle twinkle and playing with his Night Garden toys.
George woke at 5.30am where I tried to give him a bottle as quickly as I could and try to get him back to sleep but David woke at 5.45 and was up for the day. I went back to bed and slept till about 7.15. The best bit was reading my book in bed last night though. I havn't done that in over a year Also they are both having their naps now. Edward went down as soon as he got in from nursery as usual and George went down about 10 mins later phew!

simpson · 25/03/2009 15:00

Gingeme - glad last night wasn't too bad in the end!!

Had the most horrific poo ever all upback everywhere

She is currently creeping round in just nappy (clean one obviously!!)as I can't be bothered to dress her for the 2nd time today as poo gone right through vest, tights, dress etc

Waiting for pead to call back....won't hold my breath!!

LaTrucha · 25/03/2009 15:16

Simpson - that sounds awful. Poor Molly. Poor you.

Lucky - bum. You should be able to take it back though. I remember that when I was measured for my feeding bra I came up as a 38 but none of them fitted me and really I'm a 36. Don't know how or why.

Sorry - we have a wipes situation here. I think she's emptied the packet. Back later.

Picture of offending bonnet on profile for ya.

simpson · 25/03/2009 15:38

LOL at pic of bonnet on lampshade as S won't have it near her Good girl!!

LuckySalem · 25/03/2009 16:02

Ok,

I've taken the tag off one of them so I'm gonna have to keep that one aren't I!? I spose It'll be ok for lounging around the house but no good for housework (as proven today)

LaT = That pic is funny!
Simps = When DD has sore bum we give naked time apart from some cotton knickers my mum bought her and cover her in sudocreme. Bath everynight too. HTH

MM - If your still reading. I hope your ok.

simpson · 25/03/2009 16:10

Lucky - thats a good idea maybe I'll put some of DS's Bob the Builder pants on her probably the only ones in the house that will fit her!!

Lilyloo · 25/03/2009 20:15

Evening all

have finished the decorating back to real life (well mnet [grin)

Will take some photos tom and post them up when M has her nap!

MM so sorry you not doing so good! As others have said we are hear if you need to let off steam , as you would be for any of us.

Simps sorry to hear about M. Have you got metanium cream for her bottom ?

Had ds parents eve tonight. Another lovely report and she is expecting him to get above average in his sats! Said he has lovely manner and attitude

However this was topped off by L dance class ringing me at 5.45 (her class ended at 5 [shock) My nan had forgotten to pick her up whilst i was at parents eve Had to rush over there , luckily L was ok! Got bit of grilling off dance teacher as she rang my home and mobile (switched off in parents eve) and dp phone not connecting (not sure why as it was right number)
I ended up walking out of class tearfull!

Think it just the culmination that i have no real help or someone to rely on with kids. I know it not my nan fault (but i did tell my uncle too who was taking her in the car). She has rung to apologise and said she had forgotten !
Still made me feel like a sh*y mum though!
