Ok. Hold the front page, stop the clocks and listen.

I woke up naturally this morning, without DD whingeing at me. She slept until 6.50! First time since she was born that she hasn't woken me up! So that was a lovely mother's day present, even though it's not mother's day here. She's gone to bed an hour earlier today, but here's hoping! Knowing S we'll be up at three. She likes to keep me on my toes.

JKS -that sounds lovely. Glad T is ok. It's a pity when you feel like that about starting a thread. I remember when I was a MN naive. Thank the lord for you guys.

Hi Naetha - We have Bluebell, MrsMc and Nicky6 all expecting again. We're TTC too . Sorry to hear about work.

Simpson - hope you had a nice day.

Lilyloo - gone again?

Gingeme - still not back?

Madmouse - Good on your friend! What was difficult today? My one last year was atrocious - Sabela didn't sleep a wink the night before and I had a massive row with DH. MArvellous.

simpson · 22/03/2009 21:25

Gingeme - just remembered had totally forgotten, am i supposed to be at yours tomorrow??

Lilyloo · 22/03/2009 21:40

Evening all
Hope you all had good mothers day

I got lovely bunch of flowers and lie in and breakfast in bed
Spent today at mil's and sil cooked dinner.

M managed to get sick in the new car though on way home

H went to watch Man City with my dad and they won so he had good day.

Went up to the cemetry yesterday with my flowers. Was really sunny there , usually it seems a cold and miserable place. So took ds up and H and L painted a plant holder and we put it on the grave with my flowers.
LaT hope today was ok for you...

Yes Simpson it is tommorrow and I totaly forgot too! What time were you thinking? My parents are still here but are going home at some point tommorrow.
I'm sorry not to do any personals but I had a very early, 4.48 am, start to my day and I'm just about keeping my eyes open
I hope you all had a fab mothering Sunday.
I am off to bed and shall return in the morning.
Goodnight ladies. Enjoy the pics

simpson · 22/03/2009 22:51

Gingeme - what time would suit you?? Am not bringing any Dcs BTW so will be a flying visit??

Maybe 1pm???

madmouse · 22/03/2009 22:57

Gingeme WOW!!!!Is that really you! - of course it is, looking gorgeous.

simpson · 22/03/2009 23:00

Gingeme- just checked out pics...wow!! You look amazing, you must be really chuffed with them

Can I just say that Molly now has 2 teeth as lots of screaming etc...

Gingeme · 23/03/2009 09:21

Morning ah thankyou. Yes I am chuffed with the pics. Scrub up well don't I? lol
Simpson 1pm would be perfect. Its all ready and waiting for molly .
George now has 16 teeth and is now in the habit of waking about 6am which I keep telling myself will be 7am at the weekend.
Going to look at some flats with my Mum today. She is thinking of moving back to London, they currently live in Kent. Yey a baby sitter at last
Well off to Asdas now before Simpson turns up to get the walker
Thankyou for the lovely comments about my pics.
See you later. xx

Housemum · 23/03/2009 14:02

Gingeme - love the pics - 2nd and 3rd are my favourites - 3rd one is v timeless, a real classic. I must do that one day (thought I have visions of that Simpsons episode where Homer gets his pics done for Marge and the photographer slaps Vaseline on the lens with a trowel!!)

Simpson - congrats on the teeth - Molly must be v pleased with herself.

LaT - what a Mothers' Day present - a lie-in (relatively)!!

DD2 was v sweet yesterday, she woke me with a kiss (hmm, would have liked to keep eyes shut and pretend I was asleep, but 5 year olds don't understand lie-ins). She did bring me breakfast in bed (a Minnie Mouse plastic bowl of cornflakes drenched in milk) and gave me a card which she'd written at school, saying "Hapy Muvas Daiy I luv yoo". DD1 gave me the new Marian Keyes book and a miniature of gin! (Hoping DH bought that and she didn't get served anywhere...)

Madmouse - I missed the Mothering Sunday service at our church yesterday as was too tricky logistically to fit in seeing our mothers, which was a shame as I love it when the kids go off to get flowers for their mums and all the ladies in the church. DD2 needs no excuse to go up the front in church, can't decide if she's evangelical or just exhibitionist! I'm a bit concerned that they give her offensive weapons - they've bought a box of flags for the kids to wave at the last hymn, downright dangerous to equip DD2 with something like that as she enthusiastically risks taking people's eyes out...

JKS - think we've all been bra shopping but as I'm not overly endowed (a B or C if small cut) I've been shopping in Primark/Asda for cheap ones on the vague hope I may lose more weight (although I am same weight as pre-DD3 and it is probably unrealistic to want to be same weight as pre-DD2 unless I properly diet/exercise a lot)

Gingeme · 23/03/2009 16:19

Afternoon ladies.
Twas lovely to see Simpson this afternoon. I hope Molly likes the walker. I know Edward and George certainly did
Housemum I think Ive resigned to the fact now that I will never be pre dc shape or size any more. Its not about size so much with me its more shape. My body shape has changed totaly so even though I'm the same size alot of my clothes don't fit ! Ah well must be time to buy some more then like I need an excuse.
LaT thanks for missing me
Mothers Day was pretty hit and miss realy. Started off bloody early so DH was tetchy and tired from the start I got toast and tea more or less slung at me and my cards sort of give by the boys Dh didn't tell them what theywere for or anything after he went to his Mums and got moaned at by her he came home and gave me my gifts. So that was that realy.
Ah well Ive told him hes got a whole year to try better next year.
George is a snot pot again DH got him some Medised today. Told the pharmacist it was for his 6 year old son. He's getting yet more teeth (George not DH)
Thats about it realy. um and Dad have gone home now. Mums still looking to live back here. Just have to wait and see who she hears from now.

simpson · 23/03/2009 17:19

Hi all

Gingeme - walker big hit but have had to take the safety stopper thingies off as our carpet is quite thick and it kept sticking...

DD keeps trying to bounce in it though but the activity toy on the front a huge hit especially the drum

Don't think it will be long before she discovers that it has wheels though

While I was out DH took a phone call from a company I have ordered something off and they said |I need to re-order it. Ordered lots of stuff yesterday (school uniform still can't believe my baby is old enough for school soon!!) for DS as had discount code.

Did DH think to find what it was I needed to order, or get a phone no. Did he heck!! Men

Guess I will have to wait and see what doesn't arrive!!

Bought stuff in 4 separate orders (to get maximum discount) with 4 different companies BTW so can't be bothered to call all of them

Hope everyone ok today....

AngeChica · 23/03/2009 18:21

Hey naetha!!! Good to hear from you after so long! Ben sounds much like Alek who walked at 12m too and is totally into everything. Now experimenting with twizzling round and going backwards ! He is still really huge, hovering round the 30lb mark now .

Got to see my mum yesterday which was , they were up at my uncle's old cottage in the Yorks Dales. My nan just sold her house there and has moved into a flat, and gave us some money yesterday from the sale, which will help pay for loads of our renovation work and get the garden tidied up and some outdoor play things for Alek. I was so shocked I burst into tears!

Your photos are fab Gingeme!

Gingeme · 23/03/2009 19:45

Oh Simpson what a pain having to wait to see what will or won't turn up men !!
Lol at dd trying to bouncu in the walker. You said she would Yeah they all like the drum bit. Its so easy to make a noise with it I guess.
Thats good you got to see your Mum Ange Wow what a surprise getting a nice windfall like that. How lovely of your Nan.

LuckySalem · 23/03/2009 19:47

Hey all,

Sorry to hear some mothers day didn't go as planned.
I managed to get a pressie but that was all the mothers day I had really. Nevermind, I'm sure when DD is older it'll be better.

Ginge - Them pics really are WOW!!

Bit annoyed with DP today. He's meant to be going on a course tomorrow in order for him to get his promotion and something or other has happened and not been sorted out so he just gave up and went to bed.
Apparently the course was happening in 2 places but he hasn't been booked on either. The HR manager was sorting it, she hadn't rang him so he decided sod it and went to bed. Personally if it were me, I'd be getting a damn bus to my work to sort it if I had to but he just gave up, I dont get it.

Anyways. DD is in bed [phew] and I'm gonna watch top model at 9pm and then i'm off myself.

simpson · 23/03/2009 20:18

Lucky - so what is DP going to do tomorrow?? Will he still go on course?

LuckySalem · 23/03/2009 20:24

No, He's going into work tonight instead - was meant to have tonight and tomorrow night off in return for course and working thursday night.
I'm just a little anoyed at him, esp cos he's meant to be doing his 12 wk placement just after we get back from holiday but he's decided that he'll never be able to do it in time so what's the point, he'll just work at his own pace and hope there's a placement ready when he is.

I mean I know it's his choice in the end but it would make things so much easier for us.

JustKeepSwimming · 23/03/2009 20:39

Evening all

LaT - good start to Mother's Day for you
I did start the thread anyway, most people have said they have had similar sleepers and not worry so i won't!

Lily - that sounds like a good thing to do with the DCs, help them 'remember' their Grandma

G - loving the pics!!!! v glam! i'm holding on for the clock change too, too many sighting of 5-something in this house will be good to have your mum nearby, wish mine would move closer but no chance (mine are in Devon, PIL in Hampshire). i do hop your dh improves for next year, tell him i'm not impressed! pmsl at chemist shopping - have a hv friend who is doing the same so not feeling guilty.

Simps - yey for 2 teeth!!!! men, huh?! oh and my scooter arrived today! and told friend at work about the offer so thanks from her will have to hide it until i can get round to putting it in the loft. (ours is bursting already with baby clothes/toys/seats....)

Madmouse - how you doing?

Housemum - was disappointed to realise that Primark don't really do 32s. they had some 32A but nothing bigger. will have to find a cheap source somewhere...have just realised that i love underwear shopping think it's the collecting a set thing that does it for me
(had basically the same size from 14-30yrs! not the same bras obv, but not much shopping went on)

Ange - he is a big lad good timing to see your mum yesterday. And yey for your nan

Lucky - shake him, really how silly!

well off to bed soon, no dh tonight so have eaten roast leftovers from yesterday (yum!) and watched some csi in peace. and no snoring tonight, yey! (well there may be but it'll be me and i'll be asleep )

9,0 on the Wii tonight.....nearly there......

LaTrucha · 23/03/2009 20:50

Just checking in!

LuckySalem · 23/03/2009 20:53

I know JKS - I'm gonna just leave him to it cos I dunno maybe I dont understand or something and he has been trying to get this for a long time so its not like him to just give up. Just what it seems like really.

Lilyloo · 23/03/2009 21:33

Night all xxx

madmouse · 23/03/2009 22:42

Trying not to post as getting a bit fed up of complaining, but you are all asking, making me feel guilty. Things feel bleak here, just with me, no health/marital issues.

Spent most of the weekend talking with dh and close friend (who spent his entire Friday evening and a large part of his Sunday supporting me rather than being with his family - guilty again) which was very intense and now very tired.

Please forgive me for not being a very good poster atm. I am dealing with some things that are too big to write about, but I know you are all here and I will bounce back.

Gingeme · 23/03/2009 22:59

XXXXXX madmouse. Yes we are all here. Take some time for you and don't feel guilty. Were not going anywhere and are thinking of you .

simpson · 24/03/2009 09:09

Thinking of you madmouse - we are here if you need us ((hugs))

Anything I can do to help, just yell!!

simpson · 24/03/2009 10:52

Having a bad day here...

Fecking sick of throwing away DD's clothes because they are covered in poo

Something else is bothering her system and I am at a loss as to what it could be...like looking for a needle in a haystack...
