Lilyloo & Gingeme - have just bought a folding scooter on Littlewoods.com for £3.90 if interested.

Use quote ZQ884.

Is from age 5 but going to put it in attic with all the other crap toys in the attic for future Xmas/birthday pressies!!

JustKeepSwimming · 20/03/2009 20:36

PMSL Simpson - your loft will fall down one of these days

simpson · 20/03/2009 20:39

LOL JKS - just need the birthdays to hurry up

Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 20:42

at Simps loft collapsing!!
Both H and L have scooters but that a bargain!!

I contemplating trampoline at the minute. Can't get L out of neighbours garden she loves it!

JustKeepSwimming · 20/03/2009 20:49

Anyway, thanks Simpson - have ordered a blue one will be the start of my loft collection!

Trampolines...yes we want one, in theory, but it will totally dominate the garden and be such a pain sometimes. wanted to look at those ones that fold up for the winter?

simpson · 20/03/2009 20:50

Unfortunately don't have room for a trampoline..in garden I mean not loft!! The front garden is massive but back garden pretty small TBH.

DS has a scooter a lazy town one that he got for potty training but a lot of the kids his age now have 2 wheel ones so he can have it for his birthday. So is a bargain as I wanted to get him one anyway iyswim.

Ok attic collapsing!! we have: toy kitchen for DD, pram/buggy/doll set for DD, Stephanie outfit for DD.

For DS: new bike, work bench thingie, sporticus outfit, roller skates (and now scooter)

Is also a general box for pressies for other kids...

simpson · 20/03/2009 20:52

Ooooh JKS - you got one too!!

You will have the balance bike to go up there soon too Has it arrived yet?

JustKeepSwimming · 20/03/2009 20:54

Yes! it arrived yesterday but only got round to assembling it tonight. it looks fab (tried to have a little go myself, lol!) o want one

he'll love it, wish his birthday would hurry up too (may 16th, when's your ds?)

LaTrucha · 20/03/2009 20:57

I really am just not going to say what has just happened. I'm going to put my fingers in my ears and sing lalalalalalaalalalalalalaalalal.

So it's a bit of a thing with wet wipes, eh? They must put something in them!

HAve your LOs got ride ons? I'd love one for Sabela but I thought she was too small. Now I've seen them from 9 months plus. Does anyone know what those ones with a handle for the parent are called?

Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 20:58

Simps that surely xmas and birthdays for this year done ?

We have quite a good size back garden but it slopes so not sure tbh!

LaTrucha · 20/03/2009 20:58

this is very cool.

Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 21:00

I think if you get a pretty chinky one she would be fine LAT!
M has the mamas and papas one but it quite heavy and she uses it more for rocker.
She likes the little chunky car thing my sis has.
Not sure about the handle ones. H had a bike with handle but he was quite a bit older i think.

Oh what happened btw ?

OP posts:
Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 21:03

those with support around the waist look good!

ooh forgot to say M is really walking now too
she has been walking holding my finger but has done full length of room today a few times.
Also tries to put shoes on and take me to door.
She stands at the window watching all kids playing out!
Have taken her out the front for a little this week.
She loves it but if we have nice summer can see it becoming little tedious

JKS - DS will be 4 in Aug. Was going to give him his bike (new one with pedals) but he is a shorty so may leave that till Xmas especially as he will love scooter.

He adores the 6yr old from next door and wants just what he has so he will be chuffed to have a scooter the same iyswim.

I love Ds's wheely bug and regularly have a go on it!!

Lilyloo - think you can get ones that bolt to the ground so maybe that would work...

LaT - the ride on mothercare do is called the smart trike (think Ange may have one - maybe I made that up )

What happened?????

LaTrucha · 20/03/2009 21:04

My brother's in meltdown again. My other brother went to try and find him and did. My brother called him a foul name and smashed him in the face. This is what my Dad gets home from the hospital to. I am livid. And very sad.

You must all think I'm making all this up. I can't believe it myself.

They have ones here where you have, say, a little motorbike for the child and then a long handle so the parent can walk along pushing and / or stabilising it.

simpson · 20/03/2009 21:07

LaT - is this the brother that moved in with you?? ((hugs)) sorry

The mothercare one looks good as it grows with child I think....

madmouse · 20/03/2009 21:11

Oh no LaT, yes, putting your fingers in your ears and going lalalalala is definitely at least initially the only thing to do. Grrrrrr

Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 21:13

Oh LaT poor you sorry nothing else to suggest but maybe nothing more you can do than the 'ignoring' thing.

OP posts:
LaTrucha · 20/03/2009 21:15

I thikn I will 'do the ignoring things'

Not sure I do want to go home now. Anyone for Fiji?

LaTrucha · 20/03/2009 21:16

Ahh this is the feller.

simpson · 20/03/2009 21:16

LOL LaT - I will deffo meet you there

Lilyloo · 20/03/2009 21:22

ooh is that the next meet up sorted then

OP posts:
Housemum · 20/03/2009 21:23

LaT - so sorry to hear that, don't know what else to say

How much do you guys talk - was only out for a day!! What's the wet wipes thing?

Simpson - I've added a couple of new pics to my profile, still no M&S website pics up yet

Smart Trikes - the basic trike with a seatbelt and parent handle (no canopy or plastic seat restraint) is £30 in M'Care, Morrisons did have some at £15 at Xmas, don't know if they might have more in for Spring/Summer garden toys? (There's a pic of Amelie on it on my profile)

Lilyloo - walking is so cute, Amelie just walks all the time now, doesn't crawl much - she likes to walk around the playground when we do the school run so might get some proper shoes tomorrow as she'll wear out those cruisers soon!

Housemum · 20/03/2009 21:26

By the way, the train wreck in the background of the picture is Amelie's favourite activity, detroying any Thomas tracks built by her sister! That was the best bargain in the world ever - we went to France on hols a couple of years ago, and went into a toy shop that was closing down - the brand new train table and track were £75, I've seen them advertised in this country for nearly £300!! Was a right pain to pack in the car though, and we couldn't exactly keep it as a secret present...

simpson · 20/03/2009 21:34

Housemum - love the pic of A in the retro dress, so cute

LaT - if you can't get stuff delivered to Spain, I don't mind posting it on for you....
