Have decided to move H into the smaller room on his own as he has some important stuff coming up at school SATS etc!

L will go in the bunk and i will put the cot in there too with M!

If this doesn't work H and L will share in the bunks (not sure what he will say about princess theme)!
And M will go on her own but have every faith after JKS result when boys started sharing!

ooh MM sorry x post. Hope your ok , we all here if you need to offload

Lucky i am sure she wouldn't have been offended by that.

simpson · 09/03/2009 21:50

Lucky - I wouldn't have thought you have upset her permanently, you sound like a very good friend to her. Did she say anything back?

Lilyloo - Ahh I thought H & L were going to be sharing, was wondering about all the pink

MIL is deffo coming to visit end of April for a week and I have to put DCs together for a week so she can have DD's room.

Am totally dreading her visit already...

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 21:50

Lily - I dont think I've offended her but it must be horrid when you so want them to be able to do all these things to hear someone wingeing about their child doing it.

I've sent her a msg saying sorry and to let me know if she needs me.
That bunkbed idea sounds good although I'm sure the princess theme won't be too good for H - He'll get used to it though!! haha

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 21:50

Simps - She just said bye. I know she wont be angry with me but I just hope I haven't upset her.

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 21:52

I'm without car tomorrow so am thinking of walking into town am tired just thinking of it!! lol.
Might go swimming or library but dont know which as she has her babyclub at 1:30 so dont want to tire her out too much.
Hmmm, might go after babyclub instead, Oh I dunno!! lol

simpson · 09/03/2009 21:57

Lucky - I think next time you speak to her to say Hope I didn't upset you etc...

She may well say all fine, but it gives her a chance to say something to you etc iyswim.

TBH she seems very fond of A so would want to know what she is doing etc just like you want to know about her DS.

simpson · 09/03/2009 22:05

Lucky - forgot to say go for the walk!!

I walked back from town with DD today took me half an hour...

JustKeepSwimming · 10/03/2009 06:31

Thanks all - all the ifs and buts have been playing on my mind. not that we could've helped at all if we'd been awake. and we wouldn't have done anything i don't think if we'd seen a young lad pratting about in his car - being honest here i don't think i'd have gone out and told him to stop, not sure about dh.
also my babysitter would've been with them if he'd not gone to london for a concert....his parents must be thinking about it all too.

for the drivers sake i hope nobody dies (as well as hoping they all recover obv) think he may have learnt his lesson without needing that on his head too.

LaT - you testing today???? good luck!

Madm - feel better soon. i didn't exactly bring sunshine here yesterday!

Lucky - sure she'll be fine, it's probably hard for her but she loves A too. just be honest and say sorry if i upset you, etc.
and although we all want them to do the next thing it can be annoying when they do it! when they can crawl around after you wailing instead of staying in one place (at least you can get away from the wailing then, lol), for e.g.
oh and you would have been more 'sensitive' when pg so it might not be that bad again (smear i mean)

simps - sorry yours wasn't great, i was impressed (if you can be!) last time as it was so much better than i remembered. i kept waiting for something to happen then she said she was finished
(still bled a bit though, tmi)
she said she does all the smears so is pretty quick & gentle with them, worth trying a different nurse next time?
urgh re MIL

Lily - fingers crossed for the girls sharing! i'm still 99% happy with the boys sharing despite so much negativity from family (well In-laws mostly).

G - glad funeral went okish. and you got to chat to him afterwards. hope dss ok.
sad about your parents

well the boys slept:
H 6.30 (knackered after nursery) - 6 (early for him)
T 7.30 (mucking about at bedtime) - 6.

me, well i woke at 12, 2, 3, 4, 5....
we have some radiators that 'click' that seem to wake me up. dunno how to stop that though apart from turn the heating off entirely...brrrr.
think i just have that one good, one bad thing still going.
mind you the boys are still in calpol at bedtime, will have to risk a night off, maybe wed when dh is back!

have good days all

mixedmamameansbusiness · 10/03/2009 10:40

Morning,

MM - sorry you are not feeling so good.

Lily - my boys have shared from 6 months and seems to work well and when BIL goes they will still share as it seems to work well.

Lucky - I am sure she wouldnt be too offended I agree she adores A.

I have dropped another dress size am now a 12 so very pleased. Am looking forward to and quite excited about my training session.

Big hellos to everyone.

LaTrucha · 10/03/2009 11:21

Ugh. Sabela pretty much up from 2am with molar pain. We are shattered and very disappointed and confused as the test came back negative. I don't know what happened with that first test. I did think, as you lot did, that you didn't get false positives. I won't really believe it until AF comes but it looks like a 'no'. Felt like I needed a bit of a boost too, as Dad in hospital with what was meant to be an exploratory operation which turned out to be a major operation as they did find something (unclear as yet what). It's good they found something as he's been ill with a mystery thing for three years, but I feel life is being a bit unforgiving at the moment. A new baby would have given us all a lift.

Sorry. Must dive. I'm on DHs computer and he's back from the shop!

Sorry you're down Madmouse. Plesase come back soon!

simpson · 10/03/2009 11:55

Mixed mama - well done ion being a size 12!!

JKS - can you try ear plugs? Nurse was pretty good actually. I told her to just get it over with no talking, faffing etc. Think it hurt because I was tense iyswim.

LaT - any news????

Supposed to go to toddler group with DD today but my new mobile phone is faulty or if not faulty, then just c**p so have to return it instead....

simpson · 10/03/2009 11:58

LaT - sorry X post...

Sorry to hear about your dad

On the pg front, do you think it is worth going to doc for blood test to make sure?

madmouse · 10/03/2009 12:07

Hi guys

Thanks for all your sweet comments. Nathan is still not well and I am coping badly with it. I also have a sore throat and cold myself. Just agreed to sing at church concert on the 28th with both a folk and a rock group but can't even rehearse right now.

Nathan was meant to have his 12 month booster jab today (only 6 weeks late...)but really not up to it. He has such a nasty cough, I called the doctor at midnight as he would not settle and did a little shout of pain after every cough . Eventually settled with lots of calpol for about 3 hours, coughing again at 4, so I am not getting musch rest either.

Took him to see the nurse anyway, told her i was getting worried because of his nasty cough, his eyes are starting again and he has eaten very little since the meet=up. She got the doctor to see us and he now has antibiotics for his chest and new antibiotics for his eyes . Here's hoping we see the ned of it.

Don't really want to talk a lot about how I am feeling. I am sure i will perk up when Nathan does.

LaT sorry gal, I hope you get clarity soon. Do you still feel pregnant?

Sorry everyone else, head a sieve.

LaTrucha · 10/03/2009 12:32

I feel crap, but that could be for any number of reasons at the moment.

Madmouse - terribly difficult when LO is ill for a long time. He'll get his tummy back, don't you worry!

I'll go to the docs if AF not here when I'm 10 days overdue, or so.

Gingeme · 10/03/2009 13:01

Afternoon ladies
Sorry about your Dad LaTrucha
Decisions decisions eh Lucky?
Sounds good re sleeping JKS. George woke at 4am for a bottle then slept till 7 ish so not bad.
mixedmamma . Ive never been a size 12 but I have just bought some new clothes from Matalan ready for my pamper day Thursday and caught sight of myself in a full length mirror and thought yuk !I just don't have the willpower I'm afraid and don't think I could get my head around slimming clubs right now.
Had a bit of a cry about my parents last night. Just strange doing this in my time of life. Going to get together with my sister and parents in a couple of weeks to have a proper chat about it all.
George enjoyed walking around Matalans today. Kept hiding in all the clothes with Edward naughty boys
Well I'm off to my hairdressers at 1.30 so I will bid you all well. xxx

mixedmamameansbusiness · 10/03/2009 13:54

Sorry everyone is feeling quite down.

LaT - I did about 4 tests with DS2 and none of them were that clear. On the bright side one more month of wine and extra time with Sabela etc etc

MM - hope things perk up now nathan has some AB. sorry you are ill too. have to say i am in awe of all your public duties, speaking and now singing. that is fantastic.

Gingeme - sorry you are feeling upset with parnets etc... the wirhgt stuff was all about family problems this morning.

feel like i am in a relatively good place at the moment. work going ok (no luck on ft or another pt) but tbh i like working pt. money still very tight which is causing us some stress but things finally seem to have evened out with DH and I now and finally feel like we are all being a family.

simpson · 10/03/2009 18:22

Feeling a bit guilty as lost my temper with DS this evening.

He has tested my patience all afternoon. I know he can't really help it because he is just over tired from pre school

He was having total melt down and I insisted he went to bed with out ITNG as he was so tired.

Both DCs in bed already

DS at the hospital tomorrow for hearing test...Another thing he is not happy about as they choose new library books at school on Wed.

LaTrucha · 10/03/2009 19:33

Gingeme - Sorry., I realise I haven't said anything about your parents. I'm really sorry for them and you. I don't think it's necessarily much easier on you now than it would have been if you were younger. So mny things that you depended on must be in question. Hope things can be worked out in the best way possible, given the circumstances.

Simpson - we ALL lose out temper sometimes. He probably really wanted to go to bed anyway!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 10/03/2009 19:40

Have managed to get the kids to bed quite a few nights in a row now by 19.30. Very pleased.

Lilyloo · 10/03/2009 20:56

LaT sorry test bfn bit odd you have no af though Oh well more trying this month i guess you could end up with 2 Jan babes like me
Sorry to hear about your dad

Gingeme also meant to say sorry about your parents. I guess that is hard to come to terms with at any age.

Mmouse sorry to hear about poor N! Bless him he really does seem to have had a run of bugs lately.

JKS have you tried bleeding them ? (radiators that is?)

mmama glad you getting things sorted family wise! And well done on dropping a dress size

Simps ....and tommorrow is another day Can you not take him to library instead ?

Lucky did you manage walk into town ?

MrsMc i am really sad you feel you out of it on this thread. Hope you come back soon..

JustKeepSwimming · 11/03/2009 07:19

morning all

H up in the night crying, only gave them half doses of calpol last night thinking they were getting over these coughs. so gave him another half dose. he was wide awake and howling so i turned the light on. he spotted his book next to my bed and desperately wanted it.
then lay there happily for 5/10mins looking at it and talking to himself. finally i signed sleep, so did he and i put him back in bed. he cried on and off for a bit but i was too tired to keep popping up and down so left him to it....he went back to sleep. T slept through the whole thing!
then T was up at 5.45.

LaT - sorry to hear about the test maybe give it a few more days if still no Af try again? then see doc if nothing? seen lots of storied on MN about lack of +ve that have turned into pgs
hope you got more sleep last night?
and your Dad is ok - know anymore?

Simps - don't want to have ear plugs and not hear boys though! get phone sorted? hope hearing test goes ok today? why not just stop off at a charity shp and buy a new book as a treat?

Madmouse - hope the ABs work. we still haven't done jabs here, got appt next Thurs (only ever fortnight for baby clinic here, grr) for the first lot. i know how it feels when you get down generally, i find it comes in waves, then i have lots of up weeks and wonder what was wrong with me

G - good haircut? i've been due one for weeks! must just book an appt for Sat and leave DH with the boys or it'll never happen. what are you doing tomorrow then?

Lily - DH did bleed them but bless he's not the most adept at these things so think i best have another go hoping that's all it is as it's really annoying waking up just to hear the clicks/tapping and then lie there....
bet your arms are really sore this morning! good luck for more progress today

T off to pre-sch later, i have lots i could/should do but will see how tired i feel & whether H sleeps all morning as he usually does - i may just nap

Gingeme · 11/03/2009 10:23

Morning ladies.
George slept through again last night though we did wake him with our bedroom antics last night the quicker he's in his brothers room the better.
JKS I have my pamper day tommorrow I'm supposed to be having my hair coloured, well a few foils put in, they send you a patch test to see if you get a re action to the colour but mine fell off I rang them up and said I didn't realy want a colour anyway. They said they would refund that bit and to come in a bit earlier which suits me a bit better.
Simpson let us know how the hearing test went.
Thankyou LaT and lillyloo. My Mum has more or less decided. She just has to tell my Dad when he gets back from his friends. We all know deep down its for the best and they will remain friends. My Mum will sell the house and get herself a 2 bed flat nearer to town and my Dad has been looking at property in Kingsdown so they will still be fairly close to eachother but far enough away iyswim?
Does anyone know where MrsMcJ has got to? I hope all is well with her!
Right off to clean the bathroom. DH has taken the car for a service so hell hoover when he gets back. Thats his job
Anyhoo ttfn xxx

JustKeepSwimming · 11/03/2009 11:30

Just heard that one of the children hit on Friday night has died
She was 14.
For some reason it's really affecting me & lots of other people around here who didn't even know any of them.
RIP Eleanor.

madmouse · 11/03/2009 11:39

JKS it is a heck of a lot more real when it happens in your own neighbourhood. You may have passed her in the street or seen her in the shops. That's why people end up leaving flowers. Very sad and pointless death anyway
