Molly had meat balls on fri and was not impressed.

She much prefers sausage or chicken...

Lilyloo · 08/03/2009 22:07

Lilyloo -

What happens do they send it to you??

Huge congrats!!

JustKeepSwimming · 09/03/2009 07:52

Wow Lily - that's brilliant! Maybe i should enter them more, i forget as i come straight to the 'threads i'm watching' page not the MN home page.
DS will be thrilled, will you save it for birthdays or something?

Happy Monday morning all well i'm trying to be more positive and give DH less of a guilt trip about heading off. he'll be back wed night late. trying to stay in london and get more done as his team aren't happy with him atm.
(told him he was too grumpy! could be cos he's not drinking for Lent, lol!)

BRILLIANT NIGHT'S SLEEP ALERT.......

both boys 7-6.30
us 9ish to 6ish.
fab.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 09/03/2009 09:24

congrats on the sleep JKS.

congrats ont he lego lily

Lucky - on my days off I feed lunch at 11.30 which I always thought was too early but then E still gets his afternoon nap from 12 or 1230 till about 2 - 230 and that way still gets his dinner fairly early and then will be in bed by 8.

I dont know if the ILs stick to it but my dad now has him Mondays and is trying to do the same as me so hopefully he just decides that is what he wants and they have to follow it thru, so he has a semblance of a routine.

Lilyloo · 09/03/2009 10:36

yeah they emailed me for address then will arrange for sponsor to deliver it direct to me
It ds birthday on 4 April fingers crossed it here by then

I just click on the competitions link at top of page haven't been doing them myself for very long!

JKS wow great night!
We picked up bunk beds yesterday. So need to move H into L room as that is smaller and put the girls in together in H old room.
However at staleate at the moment as one room is pink with princesses on and one blue with rockets so dp taking Fri off to tackle that. I would like to get started but doubt M will be very helpful

simpson · 09/03/2009 11:53

Lilyloo - is great news, hopefully should arrive for birthday.

JKS - yay on the sleep!!

Dreaded smear test today....

Going to treat myself afterwards to a new mobile phone I think as am due an upgrade...

LaTrucha · 09/03/2009 12:26

Well, as you can tell, I got caught yesterday!

Lucky - ugh. it can be a nightmare getting them to eat, can't it. I must be fair to Sabela though. She's a really good eater. I just still have my, 'she's got to put on wieght' head on. STILL! Good luck to DP. Does it mean more money? Hope so!

Simpson - we usually get breadcrumbs in the nappy. LOL. Hope smear test goes ok. What worries you about it?

Lily - well of course you won! You're queen of bargains, aren't you? What a nice suprise! That's got to be a lot of lego! Hope it arrives for DSs birthday. He can build himself a castle!

JKS - sorry you are both having it rough. But mega yay for great night's sleep. Sabela has got pretty awful again.

She's just awake. I'll see if I can persaude her to feed so I cna write more!

LaTrucha · 09/03/2009 12:34

Has Gingeme got her big boys with her? If not, where is she?

Mixedmama - interestng about routine. I might try that.

Madmouse - How's the cling-on today? I'm sorry I don't know what COPD is. Are you ok?

No news yet, though no AF either.

I'm trying to stuff food down Sabela as usual. She keeps waking in the night and is back to waking for good really early and ravenous.

She's getting bolder too. She stood for a second on her own voluntarily. Usually I have to let go persuade her. She wanted to reach something. It's progress!

simpson · 09/03/2009 15:54

Was wondering where Gingeme is too...

Just got back and am now cooking MNing

Smear just as horrid as I remember but is done at least

LaT - sounds hopeful on the lack of AF...

Treated myself to a new mobile phone and bought a new book for myself with vouchers that were meant for DD

JustKeepSwimming · 09/03/2009 15:58

I'm not here really - at work....but on my own so may slope of early....

Re Gingeme - "I have a busy week ahead. Mu Mums coming tommorrow as we have a funeral Friday. She is staying for the weekend. Ladys day planned for Saturday me thinks. Monday DH's son is coming to stay for the week Thursday I have my pamper day then next weekend my big boys are staying. Phew!!"
so think she's got her DSS today.

Actually got lots done today, tend to when i'm on my own but it's boring too having no-one to chat to!

Gingeme · 09/03/2009 16:47

JKS.
Thankyou for missing me ladies
Yes I have had a busy weekend. The funeral was, well, as good as can be expected I guess . DH and I went to the pub with his friend Friday evening and he had a good talk about it all. I think he needed to.
Saturday my Mum and I had a day to ourselves and we had a hunt around the charity shops which I havn't done properly for simply ages. Got a few nice tops for our holiday. Cut a long story short my parents are in the throws of splitting up so Mum needed to chat. I'll keep you updated.
Yesterday we all went to Hendon air museum and had a loely day.
Mum went home about midday and my ss turned up about2. I don't realy get on with him but make an effort for DH
I had a skim through. Wow on the sleep front JKS. Lets hope it lasts. George actualy has been waking about 3.30 am and crying a little but setteling himself again waking about 6am for a bottle. If he does it all week he can go into his brothers room (I'm sure I've said that before)
Glad the smear went ok Simpson. Not a pleasant experiance but needs to be done
madmouse glad Nathans eyes are better. I used to get conjunctivitis alot when I was younger. Horrible.
Lilly yey on the lego win. You go girl
Sorry if I have missed anyone.
I'll try to be around a bit more this week.
xxxx

mixedmamameansbusiness · 09/03/2009 20:09

Gingeme busy busy

Simps - i hate smears as well, my friends with kids used to always say once you have a child it wont matter but it still does doesnt it. I was due one whilst I was pregnant, when i decided to get the coil after DS2 my doc offered to do both at once which at least saved two uncomfortable stressful visits.

Had my induction yesterday at the gym, am having a personal trainer session with an ex army trainer on Thurs and DS2 is going to the creche for an hour. Looking forward to it.

JustKeepSwimming · 09/03/2009 20:19

well only left a few minutes early, just enough to get some milk and drop off a cheque at the bank (birthday cheque from beginning of feb!).

really exhausted with T tonight, had no enthusiasm for his games and he was hyper after a day in the pre-school room at nursery - a first full day there i think.
H was knackered as usual as he still doesn't sleep properly there so he was whingy & clingy until i put him to bed early.

sorry, moaning...

being good and not having a glass of wine, then i won't have one because of orchestra tomorrow, so that'll be 3 days in a row - got to help my diet

oh and we've had a local drama here that's been occupying me. a young lad (17) was showing off his new car in front of a group of other teenagers (not his friends) who had all been out for a birthday meal. they were just on their way home, dawdling, not misbehaving. he was apparently doing handbrake turns (in a small residential street just round the corner from me) when he lost control of the car.
he ploughed into the crowd and put 14 of them in hospital
8 of them are still there - it happened friday night.
3 in critical condition. it's expected that one lad (also 17) may die, if he lives he'll probably have serious brain damage.
others have several broken bones, facial injuries, etc. the 3 serious ones have been transferred to specialist hospitals.
the lad ran off apparently but has been arrested.
the police were round here yesterday knocking on doors for witnesses - we had gone to bed early so didn't see/hear anything.
'luckily' there were 3 doctors on the scene straight away who all live on that road.
keep going over it all in my head.

sorry a really down post, i will be more upbeat tomorrow i promise!

Gingeme · 09/03/2009 20:51

OMG JKS

LaTrucha · 09/03/2009 20:54

That's appalling!

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 20:58

JKS stupid boy! Why do people insist on doing such stupid things.
Well done on your good night's sleep and I hope tonight is just as good for you.

Simps - YUCK smears. I still haven't had mine done. I really should but all I can think about everytime I go to book it is when they did an internal while pregnant with that horrid metal thing and how much it hurt.

Lily - CONGRATULATIONS

Well DP is off for his test tomorrow he'll be gone from 7:15 till about 5pm so I'll get to see what it'd be like to have him working days instead.
I can't remember who asked but yeh it means ALOT more money if he gets it. He has to pass this test do 5 (I think) courses and then have a 6 week placement in a store in the management position then he moves up to £26k a year - nearly £10k more than he's on now.
He wont be on it until at least August apparently but he has heard rumours that they're fast tracking him even more to get him on a placement right by us in May.

simpson · 09/03/2009 21:17

JKS - that is awful

LaT - are you still testing tomorrow morning??

Lucky - Hope DPs test goes well tomorrow

Mixed mama - very of your personal trainer

Gingeme - sorry to hear about your parents

Where is Madmouse...hope you are ok??

Having a bit of a mare with DS ATM as he plays so roughly with DD. Maybe its just a boy thing but he is so boisterous with her driving me mad!! She has a bruise on her cheek from where he threw a toy at her.

But none of it is malicious iyswim. He said he was just giving he the toy but threw it at her and hit her...lots of tears etc.

Ho hum....

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 21:20

Has MM not been on since Saturday? That is VERY unlike her! If it wasn't so late I'd text her.

Also where's MrsMc gone again? Please come back.

simpson · 09/03/2009 21:26

Think madmouse was feeling a bit under the weather so maybe ill??

I hope not though...

Yes, Mrs Mcjnr - COME BACK (I was shouting BTW)

Lilyloo · 09/03/2009 21:30

JKS that is so why do you think you are invinsible at that age
Well done on the wine. I staying off it during the week now as 1 glass was creeping into 2.

MMama very of your training session , well not exactly the 'training'

Simps glad the smear over , think it's the thought rather than the actual event that is worse. Poor M with J won't be long before she gives as good as she gets back i guess.

Lucky tell dp good luck that will make a huge difference to your life. Fingers crossed.
And book your smear , it really isn't that bad and not worth the risk of not having it. You did childbirth remember!!!

LaT we getting that with M too. She downing 1 or 2 bottles in the night. I am trying to slowly wean her off the bf in preperation for the bedroom move.

Gingeme wow busy you. Glad the funeral was ok.

Should be picking up new car tom Can't wait to see the back of this one.
Have been shopping today to get new paint for dc rooms. DD chose ballerina pink and shocking pink. Then disney princess border , light fitting and stickarounds.
Not at all my taste but happy that she happy to move bedrooms as there was a point that she wanted to 'stay in my room and i don't want that pest M to share with me' !

OP posts:
simpson · 09/03/2009 21:40

Lilyloo - glad you are seeing the back on the pants car

Remind me..who is sharing rooms with who??

madmouse · 09/03/2009 21:43

Hi all

Lucky thanks for looking for me. Sorry I have not been on.

Am feeling under the weather and mentally not great. Just don't have anything to write really.

Back soon

xx

LuckySalem · 09/03/2009 21:45

MM - Dont leave us too long. Remember we're here to help you if you need it. I hope your ok.

I think I've upset my friend today (the one at the meet) she was telling me what the specialist has been saying about her DS and how it'll be a while before he walks and then when talking to her I went and put my foot in it saying how Aaliyah was driving me insane with her walking. I feel so stupid now.

simpson · 09/03/2009 21:45

Madmouse - take care of your self ((hugs))
