Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
AngeChica · 06/03/2009 07:35

morning. just a quickie - DS is due his MMR this morning but has developed sniffle/cough. I guess the nurse will advise if he can still have it or not? This usually coincides with a tooth coming.

simpson · 06/03/2009 09:24

Ange hope A ok for jab...guess its best to delay if he is not up to it.

Going to the Reading game next week BTW though we will probably lose

simpson · 06/03/2009 09:48

LaT - keep us posted, fingers X for you

JKS - Grrr on the early start. DS was singing loudly at 5am but did stop then he was still asleep at 8.30

Madmouse - Glad the form is done, how long before you hear back??

Gingeme - Did George do 7-7 again?

Lucky - LOL at A Molly's new word is fruit pot!! Although it comes out poo pah!! She starts shouting for it once he porridge is finished in the morning!!

Where is Mrs Mcjnr - hope you are ok??

Lilyloo - any news on car MOT?

Going to baby clinic this morning, then got my positive steps class this afternoon and DD in the creche. Think there might be a few tears this time (from her not me!!) as she knows what is happening as its the 2nd week...we shall see!!

Also think I have found someone to buy my learn & groove activity station (going to offer her the bumbo too) Does £40 sound fair do you think??

Need the room for the walker

LaTrucha · 06/03/2009 10:12

Sabela has taken her first tumble - off the sofa - onto the tiled floor. She has huge bump but so far seems ok otherwise. Damn!

Dh home this evening! Pity the first thing he'll see is a bruise.

simpson · 06/03/2009 11:35

Poor Sabela

Hope there weren't too many tears...

OK I admit it Molly is not a titch a whopping 19lbs 10 and that is with her feeding herself for the last 4/5 days

Feel a bit better now

Although HV (one I have never seen before ie doesn't know Molly iyswim) has suggested that I get her hips checked out by the GP as she doesn't bear weight on her feet....

LaTrucha · 06/03/2009 11:40

Surely she's had her hips checked before? They do it to Sabela at all her developmental whotsits, maybe because she was breach.

She's sleeping now, and the bruise doesn't look too bad. I really am going to treat her with kid gloves now! She's such a good baby though, hardly cried at all. It must have hurt.

Oh, and JKS, if you can't remember which question, you'll just have to sit on your hands and wait!

simpson · 06/03/2009 11:56

LaT - she had them check at birth obviously and I can't remember whether doc checked them when she was about 9mths as I went to see him because she wasn't sitting up...

TBH don't think I am going to bother as she is just doing things in her own sweet time

Glad Sabela not too bad...I remember when DS was 18mths and the nursery he was at had a photographer in, the day before he had a tumble and had huge bump on head for pic!!

LaTrucha · 06/03/2009 11:59

I thikn they will ahve done it at 9 months. And you are quite right, she'll do it when she feels like it!

I always remember a story about my DH and talking. He didn't talk at all at two so he was whisked off to the doctor, who said, 'He's just watching you and he doesn't have anything to say about it right now.'

You may have met someone who talks more than DH. I have. One person and she truly is something to behold!

She'll get there. She'll probably run marathons.

simpson · 06/03/2009 12:04

Well I didn't walk till I was 2

LOL at running marathons!!

Madam is currently in high chair trying to stuff as much jacket potato as humanly possible into her mouth

Keeps her quiet anyway

Hope you have recovered from trauma of Sabela's fall. DS also recovered much quicker than I did!!

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/03/2009 12:10

going to ruin it and let JKS know what she asked... i believe it was a "hows the TTC going"...

LAt --- waiting with baited breath

Have lost 5lbs this week as have been very very good about my WW points and doen alot of walking etc.... very pleased with myself.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/03/2009 12:11

oh and mm sorry about the form... my dad fills it in for my brother allt he time and they are truly horrible things... then they dont believe what is written down and make him visit their docs who are rubbish. Insane.

AngeChica · 06/03/2009 12:17

Just back from MMR. DS was a brave boy, only a little squawk. Mind you his legs are so chunky he probably didn't feel it much. They said it was fine to go ahead as long as he didn't have a temp.

Hope you are a good luck omen not a Jonah Simps. If we don't go up I don't get to see any games up here. Unless Newcastle, Boro or Sunderland go down. I'd laugh if Newcastle did.

This was my first week doing 4 days at work and its been quite tiring. Have had to run around doing lots of errands all morning that I could usually have done in a more leisurely fashion .

Skip has arrived today ... I think we could fill it 2x over! Am going to roast a chicken in our new oven today to test it out.

exciting LaT...!

everyone else, have a nice weekend.

JustKeepSwimming · 06/03/2009 12:19

oh LaT - that i'd forgotten the questions and ??? about the answer....
poor you & Sabela, hope the bump/bruise goes down quickly, got any arnica?

I bruise so easily, i've started putting arnica on every bruise i've got after a shower, there are lots

Mixedm - you are doing so well have lots of pats on the back!

stood on scales with H lat night after bath just to get a rough idea. gives him 21lbs still (think he was that at 12mo weigh-in). So not the biggest but not the smallest either.

watching a mental dvd with the boys - there are these 2 presenters who sing various nursery rhymes (was sent it for a birthday last year i think by relatives). they are nuts and it's a ll a bit surreal......

friends coming round later and we are hoping to play in the garden as the sun is shining and it's lovely outside
have told them to bring boots though as i think it's still muddy out there.

hoping H goes to bed for most of it as he's not in his best environment outside - must get him to Clarks this weekend....

Gingeme · 06/03/2009 12:37

Hi justa quicky.
Have seen lotd of egg bumps over the years with my boys. As long as it comes out with a bruize everything is fine
No Simpson he didm't but woke at 5 had bottle and slept till 7.30 ish
Got the funeral at 2 so better get a shower and some lunch.
Have a good weekend all xxx

LaTrucha · 06/03/2009 13:01

Ah.. the cat is out of the bag. I am waiting until DH gets home to do a test, so probably tomorrow morning. I think I am though. I keep having to go to the loo all the time and I have mysterious stretching pains... and no AF, of course! I was going to try and keep it a big secret from you all and then TA DA! but I am hopelessly impatient....

JKS - MIL rushed in and put something to keep the bruise down on the bump. It seems to have kept it down and she has played and eaten since. Asleep now...

Gingeme - thansk for reassuring words. Hope funeral was well, ok..

Simpson - LOL at potato!

Mixedmama - well done on the weight loss. I have been hopeless and am not going to worry about it now.

Angehcica - Are you have a nice destructive day with your skip? I tend to get very gung ho about such things.

Madmouse - done anything new again today? Sabela tends to have a rtush of things in one afternoon and then nothing for months!

Lucky - get the money sorted?

LuckySalem · 06/03/2009 14:41

OHHH LaT !!

Money is kinda sorted but I can't be bothered to winge over it anymore. lol

madmouse · 06/03/2009 14:42

Oh LaT (Madmouse waits with curled toes for the result - how exciting

Ginge, hope funeral goes ok

Simpson no wonder dd not sanding, too busy talking, what a vocabulary for her age clever girl. It is worth getting hips checked though, it is quickly done and better safe than sorry.

Mm well done you on weight loss I am impressed. Although I can see in the mirror that i am losing weight and people have commented. I am just staying away from the scales

Having a lovely day here although Nathan still coughing wheezing spluttering so up a few times. Managed to wizz round with duster and vac between him and dh leaving for childminder and it being time to leave for preaching. Then did service which apparently worked very well (I preached on bags - in a hall full of ladies who all say they will not see theirs in the same light again), dh managed to get there just in time and we had a leisurely child free pub lunch after with a long overdue talk. I know all about what dh was dealing with now and it was big and unpleasant and not quite done with and he did not feel he could tell me at the time. We have re-established how much we love each other and that we want more babies .

Came home so buoyant that I just filled 1.5 wheeliebins with dead leaves from the drive. Friend due in 20 minutes.
Nice day

Hope yours are good too

LaTrucha · 06/03/2009 15:01

Ooo That sounds like a lovely day - and exciting too! I'd love to read what you have to say about bgs! Plastic orv designer?

LuckySalem · 06/03/2009 15:24

Wanted to go see Jacko but dont have the money

LaT - Im soooo excited for you and can't wait for your result!! You WILL tell us ASAP wont' you?

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/03/2009 16:35

LaT - am waiting, so excited and not going to pretend that I am not as I have to wait until at least September but big

Lucky - DH wanted to see him too but sadly we lack the funds and I am secretely a little pleased as I just dont dig MJ that much but DH did sit thru Evita with me so I guess I owe him

Madmouse - great that your sermon went down well... I too am intruged what you could have said.

Hi to everyone.... think my boss is coming so better get off.

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/03/2009 16:36

just saw the dancing girl Lily... agree annoying

simpson · 06/03/2009 16:47

Mixed mama - snap DH sat through Evita with me too!! he even fell asleep during some of it

LaT - keep us posted

DD was not so great at creche today. I could hear lots of tears etc...

But she was over joyed to see me

madmouse · 06/03/2009 19:10

right, I think you will all be pretty disappointed by it, but I have temporarily put my sermon on my blog for those who want to know more

mixedmamameansbusiness · 06/03/2009 19:50

MM - just read your sermon. Truly fabulous, did you write it all yourself? I really enjoyed it and can relate to alot of it, which surprises me as I didnt think it would have any relevance to me whatsoever... i think i have at least 4 bags. Too many me thinks.

madmouse · 06/03/2009 19:59

yes I did

thanks, that is very kind
