LB, this must be really difficult for you all. I hope you can get things sorted one way or the other soon.

bumble is on his fourth t-shirt and second vest of the day. He had diahorrea yesterday, and seems OK in himself, but today he is just puking up constantly then wanting more milk. He is happy and giggly...just very pukey.

I'm doing OK for now. Watching what I eat and looking out for potential triggers. Thankfully I haven't had another attack, but I've had a few times where I can feel my gallbladder but it hasn't hurt if that makes sense. I have a pre-op assessment tomorrow and hopefully I'll get a date for the operation at that appointment.

aaaarrrrggggghhhhhh

I have given up on clothes and put bumble in just a babygro; easier to change than vest and t-shirt every time. He won't stop puking.

ooohhhhhhh daisy i dont envy you today, S often ruins about 4 outfits pooing up her back, i end up putting her in white sleepsuits that i can boil ha ha!

we have been for jabs today, S was an absolute angel, whined a bit for each leg but stopped before i even left the room...but the biggest bonus is that its knocked her out, slumped on my lap asleep, the silence is heavenly. could be the jab, could be the calpol

Oblomov · 25/02/2009 12:13

Daisy thats not good. Are you going to be out of clean clothes in a minute ?Hope B is better soon.

We had a bbq last night. Yes, its true. Then we came in and cooked pancakes. Ds1(5) flipped one on his own. I only used one of those pre made up batters, add milk. Brill.

Tinkerisdead · 25/02/2009 12:16

ohhh BBQ, i stuggle to get a basic meal made at the mo, maybe thats the route i should take Obs, get dh to man the bbq each eve! what did you cook, go on, make me drool. i love food me!

Ceebee74 · 25/02/2009 12:34

LB so sorry that it has finally happened - I guess it has made the situation very real now How are the boys taking it?

Obs bbq - really?? Are you in another country No pancakes here as DH is away, DS1 had them for tea at nursery and I couldn't be bothered doing them just for me when I am on a diet anyway - rock and roll or what??

Daisy poor Bumble - hopefully it is just a bug that will pass quickly!

Was going to go and get Sam weighed today but it is really miserable outside so maybe not!

coolkat · 25/02/2009 13:07

Daisy sorry about Bumble being pukey. Hope your feeling a little better. X

Drswife make the most of S sleeping!!

I am having trouble with feeding lately. Becca feeds for about 5 mins then just starts screaming at me and pulling away, can't get any wind out of her or get her to latch back on to the breast?! HELP!

I have been to the doctors today and Becca has something wrong with her finger, it does not straighten. She needs to be referred and may need an operation on it. We have to go to the LRI and I hate it there.

Re development, her head seems steady and she rolls to the side but thats it!!

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 13:11

coolkat, how long has she been doing that? have a look on good old kellymom, there is a section on fussiness and nursing strikes.

Have you all seen the news about David Cameron's oldest son?

OP posts:
Rosa · 25/02/2009 13:16

Hello - well milestone for me I had my hair cut - as usual they cut it too short and did what they pleased with it - however I learned my lesson and have it cut at least 1 month before I have an event .
At nursery today was the child specialist taking notes on all the children - he came out and studied the mums as well as we went to pick them up
I am not marking milestones this time when minirosa does things she does however she has gone back to waking twice a night from once - tried a dream feed at 10.30 diddn't make the slightest difference ...Any ideas ?

coolkat · 25/02/2009 13:18

The past week, I am wondering whether she has a sore throat, she has been snuffily and also has a dodgy eye.

Very sad about David Cameron's son.

coolkat · 25/02/2009 13:19

Growth Spurt Rosa?

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 13:47

I second the growth spurt rosa. bumble went through a phase of mad feeding last week and was waking up twice sometimes three times in the night when I was in the hospital. He is now back to just once a night

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 13:49

meant to say coolkat, if DD is bunged up with the cold, it might be hurting her ears when she lies on her side to feed. Have you tried feeding her in a more upright position?...bumble often sits upright on my lap, his tummy to mine and feeds that way.

OP posts:
MerryMarigold · 25/02/2009 13:50

coolkat, my dd went through a few weeks of this. thought it was her reflux, but she didn't seem to be refluxing. then doctor thought it was thrush, but my aunt (HV) said it was just milk in her mouth not thrush, and i did not give antibiotics (they were foul, she kept spitting it). she's fine now...but you could check out thrush.

dozy LOL at your tummy time. we had time like that today as i cleaned Judo's explosive poo which had gone up his back. he leapfrogs up the mat which is a bit difficult!

I didn't know David C had a disabled son till this news. Can't imagine what pain he must be going through, poor man, and the rest of his family.

minxy, glad you made it on here...been meaning to email you, but in a bit of a state myself and no use to anyone! You are in my thoughts though.

rosa am of the haircut. so badly need mine done. i have short hair and it has not been cut since november!

today is one of those days, feel like i can't carry on. not suicidal, just want to ignore everything going on around me. let the babies cry, let ds1 poo wherever he wants, let dh find his own supper, let the house get into even more of a complete state. have managed so far to keep babies happy and feed ds1, but it's been a struggle. he hasn't pooed yet. i am just tired, babies haven't been well, not sleeping well as a result, as soon as I get one off, the other one is up. Miri was wheezing last night for some time.

Rosa · 25/02/2009 13:58

MM hang in there sounds a nightmare . Call Dh and tell him to get a pizza - stick ds1 in front of the cartoons and make yourself a cuppa . You are a mum and a human being !! ( Ignore the house dirt is good for the antibodies ..My motto and I am sticking to it !
Tummy time ..not popular in this house she head butts the floor !! SHe does however do lots of almost turning over - she is whinging on her gym as she did not want to be in her basket ... Aim for the week is to get her into the cot - Have to empty the cot first which is more frightening to be honest.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 13:58

oh merry, you sound like you are having a tough time of it. Is DH working? Can someone come and look after the DC so you can have a sleep? Things always seem so much harder when you are sleep deprived.

Get yourself booked into the hairdressers for DHs first available day off; it'll give you something to look forward to.

I'm having mine done on Saturday; it hasn't been cut (except for my self mutilation of my fringe) since September!

Drswife, they were only burgers. Mind you they were costco burgers. saw someone mentioning costco the other day, was that coolkat. was it re strawberry ribena's ? costco stuff is class. their burgers are pure meat. and the size they start off as, is the size they end up as.
Have just made macaroni cheese and beef stew and dumplings, if you want to 'pop over' for dinner, from Brum, that is
You need to look after yourself and eat alot, you know. Obs reminds herself that she takes this advcie a bit too much to hips heart.

LackaDAISYcal · 25/02/2009 14:01

lol orsa, it's funny how cots become extra storage space! we were the same with DD's crib after she had grown out of it; it became an extra laundry basket. This time round we dismantled the crib as soon as bumble was out of it.

He's sleeping now and only puked up a couple of mouthfuls of his last feed. DD in bed too, so I'm catching up on emails and looking over my ABM peer supporter course.

x posts with MerryM. Love to you Merrym. Sorry to hear of feeling bad. Not surprised that it all gets a bit much for you. You are fabarooney, you know

Oblomov · 25/02/2009 14:18

Laugh at cot. M's cot has a big pile of clothes at the end of it. New lot to go into drawers. but can't do that because drawers are full of stuff he has grown out of. But need to sort it and e-bay that. and can't be bothered, quite frankly.
piles of 0-3 - old, 3-6 current, and 6-9 future, all over the place. right mess. ha ha.

Rosa · 25/02/2009 14:51

I think the cot has 3-6 high summer clothes that need to go but I was hanging onto them incase Minirosa would fit into any plus 9-12 but I am like you Obs I have no where to put them. There has to be more stuff in there as it is full surprise time I think. Under the beds have the plastic boxes with dd1 old stuff and winter stuff. Have one bag with stuff to go ...can't bring myself to sell it just yet its my babies 1st things !!!! Minirosas cupboards and drawers full ..I WANT AN ATTIC !!!!!!

PinkyMinxy · 25/02/2009 15:43

hugs to merry. i sympathise. DS is home today- up all night with a nightmare. I think his uncle may have scared him, unintentionally- he's a decent bloke, just one of those larger than life types.
So today I have in my charge immobile DH, DS DD1 and im. And two kittens confined to kitchen for a week cos they weed on the beds.

Im is prolly the easiest of the bunch!

It has kept me busy, which isd good.

have done laundry, just no time to put it away.

But merry, you are doing so well. tis hard just to get ones self through the day sometimes.

loving all your chit chat on here.

have session booked for tomorrow pm.

MerryMarigold · 25/02/2009 15:54

thanks for support

why is dh immobile pinxy?

my sis is skyping me in a minute, can't wait to chat to her. dad taken ds1 out to park. babies both sleeping by some miracle!!! (they never nap at the same time).

obs, food sounds delish. can you courier me some over?!

rosa, we had pizza last night! i took pork out of the freezer yesterday am, to eat last night. couldn't face cooking. need to eat it tonight i suppose.

LOL at the clothes everywhere. mine are in plastic bags all over my room. I mean it. About 10 big bags. I have 3 plastic crates of filing and other rubbish stacked in room. it is not a nice place to be. i just go in to sleep!

oh bum. miri just woken.

Pinkglow · 25/02/2009 17:32

Tummy time = not popular here either. About once every 3 days I put him on his front only for him to scream so then I put him on his back again. Repeat every 3 days.

We went to a waterbabies class today which was fun - Henry got his face very wet and then went underwater. Seemed to like it though.

I should hopefully be getting a Jumperoo this week - Henrys just not so happy anymore on his back he wants to be on his feet ALL the time.

coolkat · 25/02/2009 19:52

How are things going Ladybuzz?

Daisy Why you are a BF genious, fed Becca and was consious not to put pressure on her ear, held her head in my hand and she fed lots better, no screaming!

Once again MN saves the day!
