Hi SPB

StealthPolarBear · 03/02/2009 17:30

Hi SOL, how are things?

liath · 03/02/2009 17:44

Congratulations to Elkie, hope it wasn't too traumatic! Lovely name (the first boy I ever really had a crush on was called Connor ).

CaptainDippy · 03/02/2009 18:36

Oh no SOL - hope it is over quickly and doesn't spread. xx

All the snow is pretty much gone here

DD's soooo tired tonight, can't wait til they are safely tucked up in bed.

Evening all

Fab news about Elkie and Conor. 10lb

Hope you're feeling better soon Leaky

Had snow, which seemed to bring the entire village to a stnadstill But then the sun came out and melted a far bit of away. Just hope it's not freezing tonight, other the roads will be treacherous tomorrow.

need a bit of style/accessory advice. Have been looking for ages for a decent handbag, that has lots of pockets, but can't find anything I like, so have resorted to looking at changing bags. It's more for when we all go out, and have 2 drink botles, 2 lots of snacks, nappies/wipes/bibs for W...you get my drift. have found this, and wondered what you though of this or this

Northernlurker · 03/02/2009 20:15

runny - I like the first one but I've seen a Babymel bag in John Lewis - the camille I think - and I was disappointed in it in the flesh so to speak - just doesn't look like something you've paid nearly £50 for. Have you seen the happybags website? Loads of changing bags on there!
here

Northernlurker · 03/02/2009 20:18

this is smart

Northernlurker · 03/02/2009 20:20

and I love this - but it is more expensive

Pesha · 03/02/2009 20:25

Congratulations Elkie!!!!! Sounds rather traumatic but glad you're both doing well now and have had some skin to skin time

Runny - have to say I much prefer the 2nd one!

Leaky - hope the bug passes asap and is just a 24 hour thing max. Oh and sorry to have ignored your post on FB the other day, wasn't quirte sure where I was going at the time as there had been a change of plan and then of course I forgot!

Had loads of snow last night, got the kids back out of bed to go and play in the street for a couple hours having snow ball fights and surfing down the road with the neighbours! And they both had the day off school today so played in the garden and been to the park and more surfing down a different road (closed due to ice so not as stupid as it sounds!). Lots of fun but we are all very tired now and rather that the snow is slowly melting.

elmajo · 03/02/2009 20:26

Something tells me NL has that site bookmarked and spends a lot of time browsing

Northernlurker · 03/02/2009 20:31

Meeeeeeeeeee????

Nooooooooooo???

Whatever made you think that?

Allegations that I was able to send my soon to birth sil an e-mail entirely filled with baby shopping links will be energetically refuted by my solicitor!

runnyhabbit · 03/02/2009 20:39

lol

my absolute favourite is this one

but out of my budget

Doobydoo · 03/02/2009 20:55

Had Emergency section with ds1 as his head was stuck[he was 9lb 10 oz]Had epidural so not out for count.I wonder if Elkie was...thank goodness she and baby ok.Poor Mr Elkie too..v.traumatic.Agree re arnica etc.As to overhang I think all unplanned sections should be followed by a free tummy tuck

Sexonlegs · 04/02/2009 07:52

Morning ladies. Hope you are all well.

Snow melted a lot here so school back on much to B's disgust!

Have a man that can (hopefully) coming to look at the washing machine this morning, so will miss Jo Jingles, but needs must

Still have a dodgy tummy

Need to go and get the feral children sorted. Back later. x\|

oooggs · 04/02/2009 08:49

congrats elkie

life is shit and I can't keep up with anything

everything is bothering me, the mess of house & no where to put anything, loft will be finished this week but still needs decorating & furnishing etc..., no washing machine is driving me mad, the weather, lack of sleep, whining children, food shopping, lack of sleep, sore nipples....... I could go on

I am pissed off and constantly cross and angry and the poxy health visitor is coming at 10am and the midwife tomorrow as Luke hasn't reached his birth weight yet

I am horrible to everyone, especially James and I keep wanting to cry

Bramshott · 04/02/2009 09:12

Oh Oooggs you poor thing. Rant on here as much as you like! 3 under 2 must be so hard, even without living in a building site! And no washing machine - arggh, unthinkable!! Is there anyone who might come and take a load to the laundrette for you? I'm sure you are not being nearly as grumpy with DS1 as you feel you are, and even if you are, you won't remember next week, let alone next month.

N's school is closed for the third day - argghh!

geordieminx · 04/02/2009 09:15

Awh oooggs.

I wish there was something I could do to help.

Is there anyone that can help you out for a bit? I'm not surprised that you are struggling - you have a lot on your plate just now! Hopefully in a few weeks the weather will be better, the extension will be sorted, Luke will be HUGE, and life will seem a bit better.

Online shopping? Sleep when Luke does. Send washing out? Tell HV and midwife to butt ou t - failing that feed him as much as you can just before they weigh him.

Canth help with whiney children - I have 1 here who could make it an olympic sport.

Bramshott · 04/02/2009 09:19

I meant of course HE won't remember next week - because he has a five year old's memory span!

Sexonlegs · 04/02/2009 09:36

Oh Oooggs, my heart goes out to you. There must be someone who can help? Be kind to yourself - bite size chunks as opposed to trying to conquer everything. I hope that doesn't sound patronizing; it's just something my Dad says to me when I get stressed over everything that needs sorting. Take care flower xx

Bramshott, shocked at N's school being closed again. Hope you have a good day.

Arse. Missed the arsing wm man - he came at 8.35 when I was dropping B at school. I called him and he said he will call back, but being in the house all day with K is a killer. She has changed from an angel baby who was very content to being a handful. Just a phase right?!

Hope everyone is ok.
