Caz I am sorry your tumble drier has broken, you may borrow mine as I have no washing machine (for 5 weeks now) so have no washing to dry and this is saving lots of time - except that we all smell

yes please Luce

Northernlurker · 05/03/2009 19:48

hmmmmm - it's new thread time soon...

'April 2007 - dry wit but wet clothes - Caz's drier is no more'

'April 2007 - with new babies, cars and jobs we forge on'

'April 2007 - what recession? Our toddlers keep us well employed'

Oh dear these are dreadful - help! Somebody come up up with something quick!!!

StealthPolarBear · 05/03/2009 19:53

can't someone have a baby? That usually helps! Hold off a couple of months and we'll have one
No one post until then
Which reminds me...I think PHD Life is due around now

Northernlurker · 05/03/2009 20:05

Oooh yes - phd and the pregnancy it took her a while to notice

Doobydoo · 05/03/2009 20:15

Spelling pantsipoodles. Thanks also for good luck re dp interview tomorrow.
SOL,Hope your last day in this job was ok.
NL,Your daughter sounds v.mature.
I expect we shall have to go through this this year as ds1 will sit 11+ in sept THIS YEAR.He will prob be youngest as his bday 29th August so some will be a year older!!!!Does this make a difference...I keep hearing that it does?
Anyway...hello to all.Have good evenink!

cazboldy · 06/03/2009 09:43

Dooby - I was/ am the 31st of August, and I don't think it does make a difference, at least not when they are that age..... I mean when they are 4 it is a huge chunk of their life if they are 6 months younger than someone else, but honestly I don't think it matters by the time they are at high school. Hope everything is going ok with the moving preparations. If there is anything that you need done that would be much less hassle to sort from this end, let me know ([email protected]), and wishing your dh loads of luck for today

SOL - sorry you are feeling sad about finishing your job, and here's hoping that the new one is just as nice. xx Also hope your mum is doing ok xx

NL - fwiw I think you are doing the right thing about the school, place....in a lot of ways all appealing done for us was give us false hope and prolong he agony. They really aren't that likely to change their minds ime and I think your best chance is the waiting list, so wishing you lots of luck for that. James was number 16 on ours, and the first 4 got offered places, so I reckon you have a good chance.

Oooggs thanks for the offer re the tumble drier, bu you are a bit far away to just pop round

anyway I have nicked an ancient one from the old lady next door until I get a new one sorted... dont think the old one is repairable, well not obviously so anyway, not the belt or anything, and it was only a cheapy like yours NL, so a new one is in the offing.... fancy a condenser one actually so that when we have the extension I don't have to have a bloody hose! Sorry for being a bit dramatic about it, but I had visions of drowning in wet washing..... I sometimes think my life revolves around laundry! how depressing........

oh and we have had planning granted for the extension so that should be started in 6 weeks

right thats all I can think of!

Hope everyone is ok xx
