Marthasmama · 28/02/2009 18:06

Yes, yes I do find mouldy bits pepper and I am SO glad you said that! I think M gets sick/dribble stuck under her many chins and because they never lift their heads up very far at this age I don't see it. I also noticed that her arm pit folds were also very red. DH normally dries her after a bath as she has a bath with me. I use sudocream too and it clears up pretty quickly. It makes me feel like such a rubbish parent, especially as the patch under her chins was a bit weepy . It doesn't seem to bother her which is a relief. Poor M looks terrible at the moment. She still has slightly gunky eyes and has eczema on her forehead that she likes to tear holes in during her sleep.

star6 · 28/02/2009 19:36

lol at "mouldy"! I think I know what you mean. Q has a raw, red part under his chubby chins (on his neck) that can only be seen when you lift up the chins how I found this... I am always looking over every bit of him and making sure he's clean and smooth! Well, i put an aqueous fragrance free cream on it and it's gotten better. After that, dr said to put vaseline on it so that when he dribbles the vaseline acts as a moisture barrier and it will not happen again. I'm going to try that. It must have been so uncomfy for him!
I hope you're feeling better Jenwa

jenwa · 28/02/2009 20:20

Hi there
Feeling ok ish but nothing seems to be happening just stomach cramps and cramps in my hips and back and acid burning up my chest, I just wish it would leave my body now!
DH went to chip shop as I really fancied piece of fish but only managed afew bites as stomach started cramping, it feelis like its in my bones!

lol at mouldy, when dd2 in bath I have to get her to look up so I can clean under her neck

pepper No I think you are more than justified to have a glass of wine when you wanted one you had done all the house work and were at home whilst DH out, so you treat yourself

star laughing at you talking about the child birth and tellin the other lady the nice bits! Hopefully you will get over it, 2nd babies are alot easier and you are more aware of what to do, please dont worry and just give it time. My mum is the youngest of 13 , it obviously gets easier

star6 · 28/02/2009 20:26

13!!!!!!!!
DH and I both want to adopt if there is another one. We both have wanted to do this even before we got married/decided to have a child. But we must be a bit better off financially first.

Hope you feel better soon Jenwa. Nice thought re adopting Star, my only sibling is adopted, you may struggle to get a newborn though.

Poppy had mouldy bits underarms at first till we got used to bathing, olive oil cleared it up. SHe also gets really crusty bits just inside her ears which i can just about reach- am I doing any harm? Plus her neck gets red, sudacrem.

Am so tired, I'm going to sleep as soon as she does, hope we have better night tonight for all of us.

CSWS, can I have buffalo mozzarella?

Sorry for any typos, side feeding.

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2009 20:47

I wouldn't risk it hmm. Proteins bound to be v v similar.

Marthasmama · 28/02/2009 20:48

Sorry Jenwa, forgot to say get well soon! I hate being ill. Sounds nasty and I hope DH is looking after you and the DDs.

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2009 20:55

Poo. You spoil all my fun CSWS...

Heather, your DS has your eyes and I love the honeymoon pics!

ronshar · 28/02/2009 20:58

Does waking up at 5am count as a sleep through?? We had a good night last night. So that makes two since October!

I was going to be brave and move William out to his own room but luckily my sister phoned last night to see if she could come and stay in a few weeks. Yipee I get to see my two beautiful nephews and keep William with me for a few more weeks

13 children. I am one of 6, thats is more than enough.

I love the babygrows. Very cool. Does anyone buy from Vertbaudet? They have some great bits and great prices. Some of the things I bought for DD1 are still going strong 9 years later.
CSWS I have to stay away from the Boden. Very unhealthy

Marthasmama · 28/02/2009 21:36

Ah poo. I just lost my message.

I was saying....

Ronshar - I don't remember how many hours counts as sleeping through for 4/5 month olds but I know when they're really little 6 hours is considered 'going through the night'. M slept from 9 - 6 so we had a good night too. I think the 2 hour feeding session before bed helped! I don't want to think about putting M in her own room . It's not decorated yet as we are doing the bathroom and her room is getting really dusty. I don't want to decorate and have it ruined by dust. She's staying in with us for a little while longer.

I have to say that talking to you all about those babygros has made me evaluate how much money I waste on baby clothes. I think I need to tone it down somewhat. Where are good reasonably priced places to get baby girl clothes?

heather1980 · 28/02/2009 21:39

thanks hmm. it was amazing! dh is taking me back (i hope!) its the maldives btw.
we were meant to be going to sri lanka but our hotel was destroyed by the tsunami

ronshar · 28/02/2009 21:52

I found 7 BIG bags of clothes in the loft of our old house. They are all for DD1. Some have already been recycled via the local charity shops and some are in use for DD2. But 7. Unbelievable!
Poor Ds has 7 of each necessary item. Vest, babygrow etc

heather1980 · 28/02/2009 21:53

my dad is one of 9 and my mum one of 6 so i think that i am destined to have a big family!

ronshar i have the same bouncy chair that you have! alex hates it, he much prefers the bumbo, whereas dd loved the chair and hated the bumbo!

ronshar · 28/02/2009 22:13

William has now rejected the bouncy chair. It is the high chair or nothing now. I also wasnt sure if DD2 was going to launch him out the window in it. She liked to pull the back down and let go!

Honeymoonmummy · 01/03/2009 09:04

Funny Ronshar re catapulting chair

Have a wonderful day Myjob...if she starts to cry during the dedication you can always BF

Another pretty crap night here Still, at least I know she's growing.

jenwa · 01/03/2009 09:18

myjob good luck today, have a fab day, cant wait to see some pics. And glad you had nice eve out.

ronshar lol re catapultin chair! I put DD2 in hers the other day and thought it looked odd and realised the one side had come undone so she was lopsided!

Still have dodgy tummy today, just had a piece of toast and a bit of tea hoping something will help!

honeymoon sorry you had crap night.

Very lucky here, we all good sleepers.

DH went out for a drink last night and text to say he would be back in a bit then came home 3 hrs later he also said he would get up with girls this am still asleep so that did not happen! Well to be honest I would rather get up and know its tidy as he appears to get up and create a mess everywhere! Also he will be like a bear with asore head so best he out the way

Marthasmama · 01/03/2009 13:15

AHHHH!!!! I think we have just decided that we're going to have another one at some point! Pepper, you have three don't you? Is it fabulous or awful? We think in a couple of years so when DD is 2. So we'd have DS who'd be 7, dd 2 then a new one. Are we insane?

star6 · 01/03/2009 15:20

lol MM I think you're insane to have 2! No, im sure 3 will be lovely

jenwa · 01/03/2009 15:30

I have just posted a video clip on FB of my tummy when pregnant with Phoebe, I just found it in my videos. She was always on the move in my tummy.

MM yes insane I would love lots but money and time etc and my body etc!!!
I think its lovely though if you did and that age gap is nice.

Honeymoonmummy · 01/03/2009 17:43

That video is freaky Jenwa!!

I've just uploaded some pics of Poppy.

MM go for it!! What do u have to lose? (Other than your stomach muscles, sleep, your sanity, 10 years off your life...)

I am knackered!!
