I've not let myself spend more than £10 on a single item. I like George stuff too, it copes well with all the washing!

Just doing the final feed hopefully...then going out!!

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2009 20:08

You wait til you develop a mini-Boden habit hmm .
Have a good night out .

Have a good night out Honeymoon. Mini-Boden, excellent PJs for DS. Looking forward to the gorgeous party dresses in a year or so too.

Marthasmama · 27/02/2009 20:16

Oh and that's VERY discplined of you Honeymoon. I'm terrible, really terrible for buying the kids clothes. I'm going to eBay most of DD's stuff once it's too small. DS was the best dressed boy at nursery, poor little fella (but never in showy designer lables). I should learn, all DD does is poo all over her lovely clothes!

star6 · 27/02/2009 21:06

LOL at the pic of poppy on facebook HMM with the outfit that says, "I've just done 9 months on the inside"!!! HA!
We had a baby shower today at work (american thing, I think) for a tchr who is due to have her baby in a few weeks time. Brought back so many memories... but I was just looking at her very pregnant belly, thinking, she has to get that big baby out of that little tiny space and it's going to hurt so much and people will be constantly putting their hands inside..... I just can't even imagine doing that again. Ever. DH and I are keen to adopt if we are in the financial position to have another child in the future. I'd even adopt a newborn - I dont mind going through that at all again, would love it. Just can't do the birth again.
Of COURSE I didn't tell her any of this. I told her it's a wonderful experience and when you meet your baby for the first time, it's a feeling of love and protection that you just cant imagine until it happens (which is true... i just skipped the horrific birth part!)

aubergenie · 27/02/2009 21:44

Thanks for your thoughts on my friend's sister. I agree that it's important to use the baby's name CSWS. SImple and honest is good isn't it, Myjob. I think it's just important to let them know we're thinking about them and to acknowledge it.

I WISH I hadn't seen that clothes site MM. So many lovely things on there! They're all nice but I like the first one best.

Boo for chickenpox Pepper!

nicewarmslippers · 27/02/2009 21:44

I know I only pop up every few months (and ask the same question) but can anyone tell me what their dc did last night? Ds was born mid october and is fully breast fed and slept 7 till midnight, then fed, then fed at 4, then at 6, then woke fo rthe day at y. i know its not terrible but I keep expectin git to get better. I'd love to hear if any of yours are sleepjg through

heather1980 · 27/02/2009 21:56

hello all
i'm back!!! did you miss me? lol
well i managed to feed infront of fil, not so bad. mil was a bit of a pain in the bum but we survived.
centreparcs is brill, we had lots of fun, dd really enjoyed herself, she really came out of herself this week which is good.
i requested to join the fb group, i have the same name as here so i'm easy to guess

Marthasmama · 27/02/2009 21:56

Hello nws - Last night DD went to sleep at about 9pm, woke up at 3am, had a feed and stayed awake until 3.45am then slept until 8.15am then had a feed and another little doze from 9am -9.25am.

Tonight she fed for two hours on and off dozing inbetween and finally went to sleep at 9.05pm. Last week she slpet through all week, Saturday - Tuesday she woke up three/four times in the night and then once a night wed and thurs. CSWS's DS seems to be very wakeful still, poor CSWS.

Just re-read my previous post. I meant to put 'best dressed' boy at nursery, poor little fella, being treated as a dressing up dolly.

CantSleepWontSleep · 27/02/2009 21:57

nws - ds went to bed around 7.45, fed 6 times during the night (i couldn't tell you what times) and started the day at 5.30. Does that help?!

heather1980 · 27/02/2009 21:59

nws - my ds born 16/10 is up at 11pm 1 am 3am 5am 7am see a pattern?! lol, he feeds every 2 hrs day and night!

Marthasmama · 27/02/2009 22:02

Oh goodness and I moan about being tired. I have it really easy don't I?!

Marthasmama · 27/02/2009 22:04

Where is Jenwa? She has things to tell us and I want to know!

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2009 09:34

Hi all,

Well, we managed to get out at 9.30 after she went to sleep at 9.15, I had approx 50ml of wine and felt a bit tipsy and we woke her up at 11.30 when we came in.

She fed till 12.30 and still awake so I got her to sleep but she woke as soon as I put her in the cot. This happened several times in the night, in total I fed her 5 times between 11.30 and 8 this morning. I've had about 4 hours sleep max.

Having said that, that and the night before are the worst nights for ages, before this week she was an 8 hours a night baby. I think it's the 16 week growth spurt...how long is this likely to last folks???

CantSleepWontSleep · 28/02/2009 10:11

Welcome back heather.

Ummm, 3 weeks so far for me honeymoon.

Q is good sleeper. I cannot complain... 2 months ago, however.. another story!

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2009 13:28

CSWS, I honestly don't know how you've coped. I hope to god she settles down again soon.

I was thinking of moving her (and me) into the nursery tmrw, mightaswell do it while she not sleeping!

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2009 13:29

And you Pistachio! Jesus 2.5 years???

jenwa · 28/02/2009 13:30

Hi all
Sorry I am back but not been feeling very well at all. Was sick last night and have poorly tummy now and NO it has nothing to do with me going out last night as did feel poorly before I went and had to come home!

Sorry, I left that random message yesterday about meeting a lady and it sounds soooo much more exciting than it actually is I now want to make some mad story up as it is really not interesting
I met a lady yesterday who has a hearing loss and wanted to have a chat to her about it, it was all safe and she was lovely, just odd meeting someone I never knew or had never spoken to before. So no, it was not really exciting and no big gossip to say sorry but nice to meet someone else who has mild/moderate hearing loss.

Aubergenie- so sorry about your friend, how truely sad is that and how very brave of her to do what she did and get the lovely birth she wanted. I agree you write what you would like to hear, straight from the heart.

Anyway off to curl up on the sofa in a ball and try to get rid of this tummy ache, if there is an earthquake in the next 24 hours it may just be me exploding

Honeymoonmummy · 28/02/2009 13:32

I've just been packing up Poppy's old clothes. The newborn stuff is sooo tiny, I can't believe it!!!

I really should think before I post on this thread...

loulou33 · 28/02/2009 14:44

feeling like a new woman today as Joe slept from 7.30 til 6am. he woke a couple of times but seemed to go back to sleep before i was out of bed. Both boys in bed for lunchtime nap at same time. it has only taken me 6 months to get them to nap at the same time - but its great!!

Here's hoping tonight it as good
Myjob - sorry your good night didn't last - mine usually don't either but i'm still hoping!!

Love that website - someone bought Joe the boys suit in blue/red stripe and it so bright it makes your eyes go funny. Joe loves staring at himself in it. I love some the t-shirts and the suit is really good quality and lovely and soft

DH had a peek at mn the other night and he was trying to work out who i was (clue is in the name - doh!!) anyway, he thinks i'm you csws!! He also says he can't understand what we are tsaying and thinks its all wierd baby code - bless him...told him to butt out as i don't read his posts on football forum.

pepperrabbit · 28/02/2009 17:03

jenwa poor you, hope you feel better soon, should just be 24 hour bug and then you'll have lost loads of weight and feel great? (hopeful!)
I am SOOOO BOOORREEDD.
DH has gone to a family christening on his own. So I'm stuck in with poxy DS2 (as it were), DS1 is climbing up the walls and won't play on his own and DD has spent the day dribbly possetting. I've done 4 loads of washing, changed all the sheets, tidied lots of toys, cleaned the loos and been on the internet all day.
What I really need is alcohol
Is 5.02pm too early for a glas of wine?

pepperrabbit · 28/02/2009 17:06

What I meant to ask was - does anyone else find random bits of their child have gone a bit mouldy??
Just sorted a curious underarm bright red soreness (with mucho sudocrem) on DD and then today under her chin has gone manky! It was fine last night after bathtime as I cleaned and dried super thoroughly (in a search for potential chicken poxes..) so what's that all about?
I daren't start a thread called 'Does anyone else's child go mouldy?' Can you imagine!
