Hello ria deary! Hope you are well. I don't think much has happened round here except norty is having her baby (I think)!

Bloody schools! I trudged through the snow this morning to get dd to preschool on time. Hardly anyone else showed up (there were only 8 children there) and just as I get home they ring me to say come and get her as we are closing! It's only a bit of snow ffs. I don't understand why they have closed all the schools. It's not even that cold. So I've walked about 3 miles today for nothing! Grrr...

I wonder if Norty has had her new small person yet...

We had a great time. Pity we weren't staying longer as it was a winter wonderland this morning and looked very picturesque. Horrible driving home down the M6 this morning though as it was down to one lane at one point. We would normally come cross country on the A66 to pick up the A1 but that was shut so had to come home the long way round.

DD has been waving all the way home and saying Bye Bye Centerparcs. she absolutely had a ball. Bumble was a bit non-plussed by the swimming pool, but was chuckling away to himself in his bath the next day.

and I got some diamond earrings from DH for my birthday which was a total surprise. What a star that man is

littlewoods wont be collecting my broken bed today, so god know when they WILL come. which means MORE phone calls saying "you owe us £190" when i dont, THEY owe it to themselves as a refund for the broken bed we only had a few months.

im a bit annoyed. its embarresing as they have my mobile number and keep calling me on the bus or at friends houses and i have to explain AGAIN that i dont owe them the money.

It's chucking down more snow here. We have sod all food in the house and god knows when DH will get home from work. I've got no money either so can't order in a takeaway as they won't accept cheques around here.

gah, bumble is squealing again; I've had enough of children today. They were all up about three times last night and are cranky as hell as a result.....and so am I unsurprisingly

aw daisy we had the same problem this morning being that monday is tesco day in our house.
so we spent 30quid in the corner shop to get two days food.
they reckon gonna be worse tomorrow, so i got food in just in case. really hoping that we have transport wednesday as otherwise i will prob be out of food again.

i like the LOOK of snow, buts its SO impractical.

I am a bit that even though I bought a chicken in the co-op for tea (orange sticker - £2.75), aside from the parsnips I've hidden in the mashed potato, we are having frozen/tinned veg for tea. There is a sack of carrots in my parents garage, but I didn't get there to get any, and there was only brocolli in the co-op to go with it, at a vastly inflated price. (ATM, having the use of the car, Fridays I shop for the weekend and I usually go again on Monday to get stuff for the week). I have a homemade rice pudding in the oven to make up for my crapness.

DH left work at five and is bringing takeaway in with him. who knows how long it'll take him though. I hate the way this coutry grinds to a halt at the first sign of a little snow. It happens every bloody time, even though there have been warnings of it coming.

My children are driving me bonkers as well.

.....and the stitching has come undone on my buggy where the cocoon get put in and out all the time. and as it's only three months old!

nowt wrong with frozen veg ria least your chicken is fresh, we've got chicken casarole made with frozen chicken breasts as its all they had in the shop.
frozen sausages for tea aas well, so there we go!

i hate the snow as well daisy and the worst thing is ppl who need services like meals on wheels, and gas on thier metre (like me) we have to sit hungry and cold.

stupid bloody weather, and crap british salt lorries that break down in the cold!

Going in the morning Daisy But thanks for the text. Going here. Hope the trains won't be too bad. Back on Thurs, so I get 2 nights away . Mixed feelings about that, looking forward to the rest but am about being away from jamlet so long.

I'm sure they'll replace the seat covers natty, but it means being without it whilst that happens. I need it for the school run every day so f*** knows how I'll manage. Things like that kind of put me off as well.

The only tester buggies I have left are the ones that don't have raincovers/cosytoes so it's not like I can use them in this weather.
