Double ewwww there...poo in pool and chocolate pizza!!

Sorry you are having trouble with ds natty. Even now I find that dd has trouble with getting to the toilet on time when she is ill and she has been dry for ages. So it might just be that he is a bit poorly. Happy anniversary.

Well done on the domesticity ria nigella! Good Freecycling as well!

of any kind of pizza. I am trying be be a good SW disciple (again) but have just had to have some bread as I felt faint after our walk.

happy anniversary natty

FrazzledFairyFay · 03/02/2009 19:14

Hello peeps. I'm afraid I'm with Holly - eww to chocolate pizza, unless it is just chocolate, ie no tomato, etc. In which case it sounds quite yummy.

Still buckets of snow here, although it does finally seem to be melting this evening. DD's pre-school has been closed and being stuck inside is driving me potty. I did venture out in the car briefly earlier but slipped and slid down our road which scared me.

FrazzledFairyFay · 03/02/2009 19:14

happy anniversary Natty . Forgetting it sounds like something I'd do

keepingitRia · 03/02/2009 19:17

It's way too scary for me to drive when it's snowy (I have enough trouble in fine weather if I had to re-take my test now there's no way I would pass)

The chicken pie was successful, baggins first clean plate for ages, and they loved the carrots baked/steamed in foil in butter and water.

Sputnik · 03/02/2009 19:35

Mmm, carrots in foil sounds like a good idea.

As a fake italian I will refrain from commenting on the chocolate pizza, although they do make pizza with nutella here. I don't think anyone over 16 eats it though!

Sounds like it's worth checking Tom is ok if he's been getting a temperature Natty. Like Holly's DD mine has accidents if she's coing down with something, I think it's really really common, and he's only just started after all.

No snow here, just rain and grey, bleugh.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 20:01

yeah i think i will. i put him in nappys today cos he asked me too, and he seemed so distressed i thought it would be cruel and didnt want to make an issue out of the whole thing.
bless him.
he doesnt have any other symptoms that i can see, hes not snotty, or coughy, or complaining of any pain. that why i was worried it might be something like an infection. i get UTI's all the time and often dont realise until its quite bad.

they reckon its gonna snow again on thursday. i do hope not, i dont want to be trapped in the house again. i dont mind a little bit, but not huge amounts like that again.

just had a chinese to celebrate, and kids have gone to bed so we have the evening to ourselves.
feel very about forgetting, but it would have been much worse if DH had presented me with a card and pressie, and id said "whats this for"

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 20:27

natty, it's only been a week or so for DS on his potty training and there is bound to be phases of accidents (well there was with my DS anyway). I wouldn't call it regression as such. Also, if he is brewing an infection it'll make things worse.

My not so little man was weighed today and is 15lbs!

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 20:39

wow 15lb daisy what ARE you eating??

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 20:41

chocolate, chocolate and more chocolate

FrazzledFairyFay · 03/02/2009 20:47

That sounds like a bouncing baby boy Daisy . My DS was a bit like that. He was a right 'budda baby' until he started moving around

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/02/2009 20:49

Well done daisy, clearly you are producing gold top!

I've got to do some breastfeeding thing tomorrow and I don't want to. Each month the NCT organises a breastfeed in public. It is really good to meet up with other bfing mums and see new babies, but it is cold and wet outside and it is in a soft play centre in town. Ds will be uncontrollable and I will spend the whole time trying to stop him killing himself and others!

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 21:02

bfing in public sounds like a great idea, i must find out if there is anything around here like that for me, its one thing i really struggled with, im such a middle class wannabe prude!!
ellen keeps crying out for me this evening she is saying she wants to watch cebeebies.. i think perhaps i have been relying to much on the telly getting us thru the last few days trapped in the house!!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 21:13

I hate to think what size he'd be if he hadn't had the latching issues. His latch is still pants as well, but he's is quite clearly getting enough.

We're watching horizon about cannabis this evening and it's making me all nostalgic for my lost and misspent youth!!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/02/2009 21:21

Haha I'm watching it too. I used to love a good spliff! Unfortunately one of my best friends had a cannabis related "episode" resulting in her being sectioned and having long term mental health issues and depression. She has recently been back into hospital with the same problems and the first problem was over 6 years ago. It does make you think doesn't it? I don't think it should be illegal, alcohol is much more of a depressant, but people think cannabis has no effects, when it does.

I've got the munchies now !!

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 21:44

im just catching up on the whole moldies thing (which i missed and was to embarressed to ask)
reading this
findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qn4159/is_20081228/ai_n31155822
bumper is famous!! made me grin!
sorry if im repeating a discussion u all already had, i missed it all!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 21:48

bumper was less than amused by it to say the least natty as that post was by someone else entirely and wrongly attributed to her.

NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 21:51

foot mouth?
just i dont circulate much about the boards, and i reckonised a name for once and made me grin cos i felt "included"
but now i get what the fuss was about, and what a moldie is!

LackaDAISYcal · 03/02/2009 22:09

ach, it's mostly all blown over now!

trolls now.....sometimes they are a good laugh, other times nasty and other times just plain sad.

Bumperslucious · 03/02/2009 22:13

Don't worry natty, there was no reason for you to know that if you hadn't been keeping up (well, except for my name bumpermightsuetheSindie which I had for a while!). It was a crap time, the moldies thing really upset me, stupid but I do go all over the boards and it all got a bit nasty and elitist. The Independent thing nearly broke the camel's back and I was almost off mumsnet because of that, after wasting days and days over Christmas on here keeping up with the Moldie stuff. I'm trying to temper my usage now which is why I only pop up sporadically atm (well that and being flat out at work and this whole house just generally feeling hungover from our week of hell, I think we have all had some kind of virus, DD was unwell for longer than a cold should set her back and DH is exhausted atm. I still feel like my head is a bit funny and DD still not sleeping through).

Anyhoo, anyone heard from Fury?

Daisy, well done on your big wee man!

Norty, hope you are doing ok out there!

HollyPutTheKettleOn · 03/02/2009 22:15

My favourite thread of all time was a brilliant troll. It was about someone who would only eat certain coloured foods on certain days. It made me PMSL. Usually though trolls are just tragic.

My son is obsessed. He was just sat on my lap whilst I was doing some work on my site and I came across a nursing bra I want to feature. As soon as he saw it he got really excited and started jumping up and down and shouting "boobie" at the screen and laughing! Now he is bfing. I think he is going to be a boob man!

Bumperslucious · 03/02/2009 22:23

Awww, sometimes I wish I was still bfing

OP posts:
NattyPlus2andAHalf · 03/02/2009 22:23

lol holly bless him!
i read that thread its in the classics now, very funny!

im not suprised it upset you bumper if it caused problems, and its a shame you are not about as much, i do miss the regularity of your posts.
perhaps you could just pop on to talk to us, you know we love you
(and i did wonder what the name was about, but kept forgetting to ask you, and once again not wanting to look silly)

well i think im caught up now, its just that ppl keep mentioning it in threads and i dont like to be baffled to many times in a day

its going to snow like it did monday again for us in the south ladies, so stock up your cupboards, we may be snowed in all weekend as forcasted both thursday and friday.
i am going to ring around my friends with cars myself and pester someone into a tesco run.

i cant sleep neither, very unusual for me, maybe im coming down with something too.
