DS should really be in his cot now but he's fallen asleep on me and we're having such a lovely cuddle

Whew - here are the quilts ladies, one each and a mathing one each for the babies. All individual and all pefect for snuggling under infront of the fire.

Glad you had a good meetup, so when are we doing the French meet up? I'm thinking you could all meet at St.Pancreas and get the eurostar and I'll come up and meet you in Paris. C'est une bonne idea non?

Steaknife · 27/01/2009 19:35

Steaknife retires from thread and bad spelling.

Night all.

Miamla · 27/01/2009 19:36

oooh, did someone mention a meetup in Paris??

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 19:51

Hi all
Glad you all had a lovely time today. Maybe I should have come as so far today I have argued with dh about childcare, had a gas leak and had my gas hob disabled and dd has emptied a full bottle of shampoo into the bath (I'm afraid I overreacted to that slightly ). Oh and our local post office/shop (the ONLY shop in the village) is closing down in April. And someone has been burgling houses down the road, at night.

Someone pass me the wine please

alittlebitshy · 27/01/2009 19:51

that would be rather fun !!! lol.

lol - party on eurostar (gwad they'd have a fit - rather like some of the customers in giraffe - esp as the number of norks on display ) then pain au chocolat in Paris.

mmm

were people aghast at the nork parade in Giraffe today then? I didn't even notice...dammit, another opportunity to put my best militant face on DENIED!

lucky none of them were at St Pancras watching me trying to calm Joe down by offering him a boob

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 20:13

Glad everyone had fun today, we enjoyed the revamp

pf sorry to hear you have had such a bad day.

alittlebitshy · 27/01/2009 20:14

did boob offering calm him?! At one point i tried that in Giraffe but H wasn't having any of it..... too much to see (while wailing anfd flailing )

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 20:14

albs sadly not, he'd got to the stage of upset where he was too worked up to be able to latch on, so I ended up upsetting him more he kept getting near, gasping a bit and then shouting louder

He's in bed asleep now though, bless his darling heart, so it obviously wasn't quite the crisis it seemed at the time Note to self: stop catastrophising everything.

We really must do it again sometime (minus the shouting), there were so many ladies I didn't get a chance to properly talk to.

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 20:29

ataraxis · 27/01/2009 20:30

Where have my capitals gone?

Alieight · 27/01/2009 20:36

Hi all,

Glad to hear that Joe is ok now cyteen, although must have been really upsetting for you. Sorry I didn't really get a chance to chat, but completely understand what it's like when they start the meltdown.

So are we just waiting for VG to check in then? Hope she caught her plane .

pf sorry to hear about your rotten day

There were definitely a few suit with eyebrows raised, almost wish one of them had said something for sheer entertainment value...

Oh I had such a great time today...so Paris next on the agenda then?

Right, need to head off as DP has man-flu a cold and needs a bit of dinner. Think he might be getting freezer food tonight as am knackered and not really that hungry.

Hurrah for the August ladies all having their norks out and upsetting the city boys of London - the image has cheered me up. Thinking about it maybe they thought you were all there making a point

Thanks for the alcohol - I need it. The day was going fine until the gas leak.....

sazzles dh is home on Thursday. I'm not worried about the burglaries really tbh. My friend is completely freaked out on the other hand and can't sleep.

I'm more pissed off about the post office/shop closing tbh!
