CC sorry I didn't get to chat to you - where did the time go? Glad to hear about helpful train lady though - made things a bit better even after missing your train

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 20:47

CC you were mentioned on a thread about MNers people are fond of by FAQ - just incase you were out today didn't see it

sazz you're still just not getting the Safari chic look are you?

Steaky am LOVING the matching mammy/baby patchwork quilts - many thanks

right, is everyone home? who knows when VG was due back? I take it she didn't miss her flight

Miamla · 27/01/2009 20:47

i was asked if we were doing a public breast feeding competition. i replied "no, just feeding our hungry babies whilst enjoying lunch with a few friends" She walked off tutting

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 20:49

what a cheeky cow

cyteen come back with your militant glare and get that woman that had the nerve to speak to our Miamla

Alieight · 27/01/2009 20:50

breast-feeding competition?! How would that work exactly

I mean, would you be judged on volume ingested, or would it be more of a points for style thing.

Miamla · 27/01/2009 20:51

i was disappointed with food today both taste and price. i know its easier just splitting bill equally but i ended up paying almost double for what i had.
i wasn't going to mention it but its been on my mind so there you go, i've said it now. no comments required, just needed to say something
as you were ladies

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 20:57

am I the only one watching Trinny and susannah tonight? I cannot believe what some of these woman are wearing

cyteen · 27/01/2009 21:01

Oh my god I can't believe someone really said that to you Miamla! FFS, do people have nothing better to do? Jesus, I see and hear people doing and saying things I find offensive every day but I don't stick my bloody oar in about it Honestly.

I wish I had heard her dizzy, she would have got both barrels.

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 21:02

miamla I KNEW someone had to have said something about the bf
I would have stood up and asked what the problem is - very loudly - I have become far more assertive since having children

dizzy thanks for the chocolate. All this booze and choc is why my extra weight is not shifting - still who gives a toss (hopes TS is not listening)

Miamla · 27/01/2009 21:03

i was feeding DS at the time, was tempted to spray her but figured it'd be a waste of good milk! I think she was trying to be funny...maybe...

Miamla · 27/01/2009 21:04

PF sorry to hear you've had a bad day. but if your cookers not working, sounds like you've got a few days of takeaways and restaurant meals ahdead of you. so looking on the bright side, a few days off cooking, hopefully?

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 21:05

Sadly no, still have microwave and cooker. Am a bit lost without my hob though

dizzydixies · 27/01/2009 21:08

pf do you have a slow cooker? I've recently fallen in love with mine all over again

dizzy No, don't have one. Isn't the oven on 150C a slow cooker anyway? I asked my mum about them and she said waste of money (feel free to persuade me otherwise)I am fish eating vegetarian (fussy not principled) so not much use for me anyway

cyteen · 27/01/2009 21:12

RE. future meet-ups: assuming that we ever get a decent summer's day in this country how would everyone feel about meeting for a July or August picnic? There's tons of gorgeous parks in London and/or elsewhere, everyone could bring whatever food they wanted and it would be so sweet to see all our August and September babies rolling around in the sun

I just love bunging everything in it, turning it on at low first thing in the morning and not touching it again until tea time - we were bought one for a wedding present and I was a bit but loved it. I put it away whilst renovations being done and only recently dragged it out again - you can do loads - soups/stews/joints of meat etc

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 21:17

sazzles lol at 'sun umbrellas' but I'm with you on the thought

Henley eh? Hark at 'er I bet the good burghers of Henley would just love a load of breastfeeding women to descend on their pretty little riverside.

PetitFilou1 · 27/01/2009 21:20

All the more reason cyteen all the more reason

Someone needs to invent a striped blazer you can bf in

I've only been punting once in Cambridge and I HATED it, have an irrational fear of dark water shall waves to you all from the safety of the banks

ROFL at Henley - am a wee dumpy Scottish weegie for god sake, they'd be taking my pram apart looking for drugs/stolen property
