Morning all.

Especially LG&T and India.

I will be requiring lengthy cuddles.

I shall be singing Hush Little Baby for the duration.

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
Tillyscoutsmum · 22/02/2009 13:33

Thanks all. DH is understandably a bit shell shocked. He got back at 8pm last night having spent all afternoon waiting for the police and his df's wife to come and collect his things . Its just all so awful - he was an apparently fit and healthy man. I shall of course be petrified now every time dh goes cycling

Anyway - thanks again for your thoughts xx

AbbyLou · 22/02/2009 16:34

Oh Tilly, what awful news. Your poor dh must be so shocked and upset. Thinking of you all.

elkiedee · 22/02/2009 20:53

Sorry to hear about your dh's friend, Tilly.

TheGreatScootini · 22/02/2009 22:04

Sorry Tilly.Thats dreadful. What a terrible thing for his family and for your poor DH.

Good news Elkie..Well am always around should you need a lift-if I can accomodate I [email protected]. email me, then will give you my mobile..

I went with the frozen lemon in the end with the gin.It was quite nice.I might freeze some lime slices for next time.

I have been at work today where I cooked a roast for all of the service users. Was very nice if I say so myself. (God I hope none get food poisoning.I will get the sack!)

Then I went to Topshop Oxford Circus, where for some reason I felt inspired to buy a floral play suit.I am not sure Im not a bit old for it.Pink thinks not.I have just had it on and think I can get away with it with black opaque tights and the highest heels imaginable to lengthen my stumpy legs.

I am soooo sooo excited about seeing The Killers tomorrow!I have taken Tuesday off as has my BF who is coming.DH has to go to work.More fool him thats what I say!I have warned him that if Brandon Flowers asks me to go back to his dressing room I am going to go.Its fair enough.

Mae and Lily know an unbelievable amount of words to Killers songs.L has even devised some dance routines!

twelveyeargap · 23/02/2009 13:27

Tilly, how is your DH now?

Scoot, you are too nice to your customers. You can't make up for the failings of the care system in this country all by yourself you know! But it was very nice of you all the same.

I had 5, yes FIVE buggies in my hallway this afternoon. I swore I would not be one of those women. One single stroller, one Quinny Zapp for using with the Maxi Cosi; both required for when we are out as a family and DH refuses to take out a double. One large tandem, one Twin Triumph, which I decided I didn't like and am going to sell on and one twin M&P Pulse, which I do like and am keeping as "car buggy". Ridiculous.

O was baptised yesterday. Very lovely service in the church we were married and small, but heinously expensive tea (and champagne) party at our wedding reception venue. Even ordered taxis for everyone from the church to reception. Last baby, last hurrah. Or something...

JamInMyWellies · 23/02/2009 13:32

HURRAH HURRAH HURRAH J has been offered new job. We wont be destitute. Tea & cakes all round.

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/02/2009 13:38

Sod the tea I'd like some of TYG's champagne please.

Congratulations Jam, that is great news. And congratulations TYG on O's christening. And congratulations MrsJB on a rockin' night.

Anyone else?

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/02/2009 14:06

Oh Jam - that's fantastic news I'm really chuffed for you both

Scoot - have a fab time tonight - let us know what its like. Can't wait for Saturday

TYG - any pics ? Sounds like a lovely day

DH is not too bad thanks for asking... He's had a bit of a crappy morning at work because word has got round about his friend (the surveying world is pretty incestuous and news travels fast..) and he's had lots of people on the phone looking for gossip asking him about it. He's coming home early - I think he's a bit worried about breaking down in front of people at work He's not sleeping and just said everytime he closes his eyes, he can see his df's face as it happened

Anyway - sorry for going on....

largeginandtonic · 23/02/2009 14:30

Oh Tilly hope he manages to get past it and get some sleep, it must be so hard.

TYG fantatastic news on the christening! I am seriously lol at you and the buggies

Jam!!!!! Hooray! You must be so pleased and hugely relieved I am super happy for you.

Scoot link to the jumps suit please, it sounds fab. I am too old for it methinks and a tad too fat i expect I love the killers but that blardy human or dancers nonsence makes me twitch a bit.

I have had a seriously yuk headache all day, ithink is is tension related. Bugger it. I need to get my head round what is going on and 'man up'.

When are you all coming to see me then?

MKG no baby signs yet?

Tillyscoutsmum · 23/02/2009 15:05

LG&T - sorry you're having to deal with crap atm. Don't let the bastard(s) get you down.

Any chance you can get an Indian Head Massage booked ? They're great for tension headaches

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/02/2009 15:06

You can expect me LG&T around oh the end of July

Tilly, your poor poor dh, it must be such a tough experience to put behind him.

Jump suit pink and florally I am of course just Theres no way these thighs would EVER fit into such an item. Have a fabulous time tonight Scoot. I bet you will right down the front, throwing your knickers at Brandon, the works....

Oh MKG, are you about to have a baby any day soon?

JamInMyWellies · 23/02/2009 16:53

Yes MKG your a bit quiet are you in labor and forgot to tell us.

LG&T so sorry you are having a rubbish time have a (hug)

TYG my god woman you have more buggies than I've had hot dinners.

Scoot mucho I have a pair of gorgeous granny pants you could throw at Brandon. And playsuit wow you go girl

Tilly what a horrible time you must be having your DH will be ok its going to take some time. Much love.

TMAM you could soo wear a playsuit, I can just see it when you are serving afternoon tea on the lawn.

Super pleased J has a job its a 6mth contract so he is going self employed as a contractor as it would seem there are lots more jobs available that way instead of perm positions. So we are now in the never before happened position of having some cash. It means we can go to California to a good friends wedding and we can get rid of the car and get a new one DP is looking at Land Rovers I beg of you. It also means a clean slate as we can pay off J's debts. Whooppee. The only downside is the job is based at the other side of London practically Heathrow! So he wont see the boys Mon-Fri but I would rather that than no job at all.

Oh and MrsJB loving your dance photos did you have fun?

twelveyeargap · 23/02/2009 19:07

That's wonderful news Jam. Hurrah!

TMAM - Meant to say that 8 miles in 75 minutes is a fab time. I couldn't keep up that pace for that distance. Not yet anyway! I have entered a half marathon in June. I have told my trainer so that it will be a huge embarrassment if I try to back out of it. First run of the training plan is tomorrow. DH doesn't believe I will do it, because I've chickened out of one before. I will have to prove him wrong.

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/02/2009 19:29

Wow Jam that sounds like such good news. There really is a silver lining.

TYG, I pushed myself up some big ol hills this morning and managed 5km in 30 mins, this is my 'fartlek' training. Wow on the half marathon, good for you, let's do it together, I am supposed to be doing a gruelling half marathon in June too at 5,500 ft above sea level in a wildlife conservancy!

at serving afternoon tea on the lawn in a playsuit 'Would you care for another cucumber sandwich headmaster?'

Themasterandmargaritas · 23/02/2009 19:38

Actually Jam, you are not far off, I reckon I could pull off the school run in this

I'm nervous now there is still no sign of MKG. Lets give her a few more pom poms to get her going.

'Give us a B, Give us an A, Give us a B, Give us a Y, Give us a BAAAAAABBBBBY'

JamInMyWellies · 23/02/2009 19:52

pmsl I would pay money to see you in that.

MKG · 23/02/2009 20:28

Hi all. I'm still here. I've just been busy and my internet takes forever now for some reason. 38 weeks along and am ready to be done.

I've been lately feeling sad to have another baby because Cruz has turned himself into a lovebug. He just wants to be held and give kisses and his face just lights up when I come home from work. He's trying to sing songs and is becoming super cute.

Congrats to Jam!

MmeJaffaB · 23/02/2009 21:35

Congrats jam and J, see....

Sat night was AMAZING! I have just about recovered. We started dancing at 8.30pm and finished at 2.30am. Got home at 3.45am, the kids woke me at 8am, I couldn't sit down all day Sunday though as if I had of stopped I would have died so I took to the bike for a 15km ride instead. I went to bed with the kids at 7am and today feel great again. Have just returned from aerobics and a dance class. The group were all really nice to me, made me feel one of them straight away and my French in the last two weeks has improved tons as they make me talk.

I loved every second of the night, photo's were a bit crap, not mothers strong point a camera and no specs. Practice starts tomorow with the group for another demonstration on the 21st March.

TMAM, you could do some downhill planking in that suit!

lg&t, I'm coming in May!

Lost 3lb this week, 1 stone down now.

elkiedee · 24/02/2009 08:04

Good to hear your dp has a job, Jam.

C was back above his birthweight at 20 days old yesterday, so we still have appointments on Thursday afternoon, but don't have to head back to the Whittington before then.

AprilMeadow · 24/02/2009 08:39

Great news JAM What a relief for you both.

MrsJB glad you had fun on Saturday - pics looked good. In answer to your msn question YES!

Elkiee well done to C for getting above his birth weight

largeginandtonic · 24/02/2009 09:30

Master i need to see you in that jump suit, it is sparkletastic

Hang on in there MKG it won't be long now

Jam i am so pleased for you and dh a fabulous holiday too and paying off the debts. A great way to start the new year.

Hooray for a July visit from TMAM and a May one from Jaffalady

Am off to look at FB at the pics Jaffa, it sounds like a fab evening. You are doing so well on the weight loss too. I have no idea how i am doing. Too afraid to jump on the scales

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 24/02/2009 13:16

TYG - I am not responsible for Peppa Pig obsessions. Nooo. L is, but not me. at dh's DIY skills, or lack thereof. M is a nightmare, he believes in brute force and if things don't go his way immediately, he just starts bashing at them with the nearest hammer. Drives me insane. I try to keep him away from all DIY related activities by drafting my dad in when M is out. Glad O's baptism went well, my invite must have gotten lost in the post.

Sky - Isn't it funny how dcs all latch onto the same things, moving from ITNG to Peppa Pig. I have spent far too long this morning trying to find a cotbed set with said Pig on it, to no avail.

LW - Glad you're back, and about the tantrums. L's have been mild so far, although the slightest negative intonation in my voice and she throws herself on the floor. I try have to really watch my tone to avoid them. And I do give in a lot as well, which is why she was eating a cake yesterday morning before 10am.

Scoot - I think you can work the playsuit, I do. There is a gorgeous gold FC one in Grazia this week too. I hope you enjoyed the Killers, and I'm sure Brandon and Joe will be along for us soon, take us away from all this. I have also turned into an old person, and have been looking into getting onto our local council, after being extremely upset that a bargain store has moved into our old Woolworths site. It looks bloody awful, and the litter is getting me down as well.

LG&T - glad things have started to calm down now. L hits herself too, what is that all about?

TMAM - I can't believe you were so calm after dh lost misplaced his spending money. M is going away for the weekend too in March. I look forward to the peace.

Abby - what did you decide to do about the bedguard? L has one, but she is such a fidget she would definitely fall out, and as she is such a drama queen, I couldn't be bothered with the resultant hysteria.

Mrs JB - glad you enjoyed Saturday, the pictures looked great, and your weight loss is fantastic too.

Tilly - so about dh's friend. Poor family.

Jam - great news about the job! Hoorah!

MKG - have been lurking whilst away and wondering where you were!

I'm very sorry if I've missed anyone, but I have a meeting at 1.30!

TheGreatScootini · 24/02/2009 14:35

Hello hello.

I had a Fabulus time last night.I went right to the front. The Killers were awesome.I didnt throw any knickers but Brandon and I had a quick bunk up afterwards.

Two of the friends we went with had a MASSIVE argument and stormed out.DH got punched by a lunatic.I didnt notice much of that as was having too good a time

That is great news re the job Jam.Wonderful!

Wow Mrs JB!You are turning into a goer!!So glad you had a nice time on Sat.I feel quite pepped up havinghad such a lovely time last night-it gives one a whole new outlook

Roll on Girls Aloud!Bit of a change of pace but still.Pink and I are going glamourous.I might break out the play suit even!

Not long MKG..Hang in there..Cruz sounds adorable

Will everyone stop running? Its putting me to shame!

Baptism sound lovely TYG..We are having the girls done on 14th March. If anyone fancies coming for it please do..would be lovely to see some of you..we are having a magician and face painting and a little party afterwards so it might be fun for the LO's..I wonder what other slightly ridiculous item of clothing I can wear to the christening.Perhaps the new harem style trousers..Or not.I dont think I will be chancing those as a look any time soon!>>snort

MrsJoeMcIntyre · 24/02/2009 15:06

Elen Rives looks like she's wearing a nappy. Ridiculous.

Themasterandmargaritas · 24/02/2009 18:20

Who the frick is Elen Rives? God I feel old with all this talk of playsuits and gigs. I can just picture you, PJ and Scoot skipping along holding hands as you go to watch Girls Aloud.

Awwww MKG, that is so cute. J too has just starting kissing everyone and now says 'ovvvv ouu' It melts my heart. But I'm starting to worry about how dd doesn't ever say 'I love you' after reading another thread where everyone's dc say it all the time.

Great news Elkie about C's weight.

LG&T are things calmer at home now? I shall put a date in my diary for July.

I am currently watching a rather good episode of Grey's....Does anyone watch House? I am becoming addicted.

Abby how is R getting on now in her new bed? Were you happy to be back at school? I may have to get J a bed too as he is taking up too much space in his cot!

Charley - you've been a bit quiet, is everything ok? How is the ttc? Are you and Tilly holding each other's hands?
